22. Special Episode
This story is not related to the main story, and is only an interlude. “Cologne! Cologne! Cologne!” Berlin called repeatedly. “Noisy! You don't need to call me so many times. What do you need, huh?” Cologne, who had just finished cooking, was disturbed by Berlin's call. Berlin pointed at the dining table. “Where did you put my favorite pretzel?” she asked. “You called me just to find out where your pretzel is?” Cologne couldn't believe it, she rushed over to Berlin just to answer Berlin's trivial question. “Just answer it.” Damn it, why did Berlin always tell her what to do? Wasn't he the owner of this house? Why was he always the one who ended up being ordered around, by such an ignorant passenger. “I already ate. What do you want, huh?” Cologne challenged in disgust. “Don't call me again just to answer your weird questions,” she said lazily. She then casually walked out of the dining room. Berlin's face turned sour. He then ran after Cologne, and rammed the young man's body hard. Before finally locking him up. “You must take responsibility. For eating my pratzel!” he demanded unhappily. “Aaarggghh... let go... I... damn it ....” Cologne thrashed around trying to free herself from Berlin's choke hold. This kind of commotion had happened many times. Berlin, a demon disguised as a human, lives with a young detective named Cologne. The two figures of different types, often conflict with each other. *** HAP Berlin looks very happy, when eating pretzels given by Cologne. After having a feud with the young man before. Cologne finally replaced his pretzel. “Just because of the pretzel you so easily, almost killed me earlier,” complained Cologne who was still traumatized by Berlin's previous anarchist actions. “It was all your fault. I'm just repaying what you did to me,” Berlin casually replied. He was still eating the soft pretzel with gusto. “Damn it,” Cologne complained. The young man then chose to turn on the television. He tried to distract himself from Berlin, who always managed to make his high blood pressure rise easily. “Argh. You should have stopped at that broadcast. I want to watch the series!” Berlin tried to stop Cologne from changing the channel to the soccer match he had been waiting for. “Tsk. Get lost, don't keep stressing me out with your existence.” Cologne did not want to lose to Berlin this time. She was even prepared, in case Berlin wanted to do something anarchic to her again. “Did you forget I'm a demon? Doesn't that mean I can do everything easily?” Berlin snapped his fingers once, and the channel automatically changed to the series Berlin wanted to watch. Of course, the broadcast could not be changed. That's right... Cologne who was always bothered and troubled by Berlin. Feeling unable to bear the demon. She chose to go to her room and sleep. Instead of engaging Berlin in a fight and making things worse. Meanwhile, Berlin is busy watching his drama series. Ignoring Cologne who chose to stay away from him. He didn't think about the young man at all, even though he had bothered him many times. In the midst of enjoying his favorite broadcast. Berlin did not realize that a figure appeared from the ceiling of the room. It pierced through and revealed itself right in front of his face. “Aaarrghhh!” Berlin was shocked, in the middle of enjoying his favorite broadcast. Jo, who was a shadowy spirit, appeared to surprise him. “You're surprised. How cute, Cologne should have seen this from you. Also, your attitude is completely inappropriate as a person who lives in someone else's house,” reprimanded Jo, who was a friend of Cologne. Berlin was about to punch Jo. But he soon realized that it would be futile. Jo was a spirit, how could she hurt him. “What do you want, you're always like this. Showing up in unusual ways, to make me feel uncomfortable with your presence,” Berlin complained endlessly. She made herself out to be a suffering person. Despite the fact that he was the one who made people suffer. “Behave yourself. Don't continue to trouble Cologne. You still remember the agreement we agreed on together. It's still valid!” Jo threatened endlessly. Hearing the threats made by Jo. Berlin couldn't help but listen to her. Although it was clear that he did it reluctantly. If only Jo wasn't a spirit that was bound to him. It is certain that he will definitely eat the figure of the shadowy spirit. “Alright alright. So what should I do now? Right now I'm trying to listen to you,” Berlin said, trying to negotiate with Jo. Jo smiled with satisfaction. She knew that she was on the right leash. “Then comfort Cologne, who you've caused so much trouble for. I think her heart must be hurting from your previous actions.” *** “Troublemaker... a figure like you must only be a troublemaker. Go away!” Cologne scolded unacceptably. As soon as she heard Berlin telling her to get out of the room. And invited her to do something fun. “If it wasn't for that crazy deal. I wouldn't have asked you like this,” Berlin muttered lazily. He was still staring at the door to Cologne's room that did not open. He realized it was going to be really hard to persuade her. Berlin let out a long sigh, feeling discouraged by Cologne's stubbornness. “Alright, alright! If you don't come out, I'll do something more extreme,” he threatened while gathering dark energy in his palms. Cologne, who heard the threat, immediately opened the door to her room. “Fine, I'm out! But what are you planning to do now?” Berlin smiled slyly. “I have a brilliant idea! We're going to the playground!” she exclaimed excitedly. “Playground? Are you serious? We're two grown men, Berlin. Don't act like children,” Cologne protested, scratching her suddenly itchy head. “Exactly! It's precisely because we're adults that we should get back to the joys of childhood,” Berlin replied as he dragged Cologne out of the house. *** At the playground, Cologne felt awkward seeing many children running around laughing. Berlin, on the other hand, seemed to be really enjoying the atmosphere. “Let's go on a roller coaster ride!” Berlin exclaimed with sparkling eyes. “Roller coaster? You're kidding, right?” Cologne looked at Berlin with a doubtful expression. Berlin grabbed Cologne's hand and dragged her towards the line. “You should try this. It'll be a lot of fun, believe me.” When they finally sat on the roller coaster, Cologne felt her heart pounding. “I'm not sure about this, Berlin.” “Come on, relax, enjoy it,” Berlin patted Cologne on the shoulder. When the roller coaster started moving, Berlin screamed with excitement. “Woohooo!” Cologne, on the other hand, held on tightly to the safety harness, her face pale. “Berlin, I'm going to kill you after this!” she shouted in a trembling voice. After a few thrilling spins, the roller coaster finally stopped. Cologne got off with unsteady steps, while Berlin burst out laughing. “You look like you've seen a ghost, Cologne!” Cologne gave Berlin a sharp look. “I hate you, Berlin.” Berlin patted Cologne's shoulder. “But you have to admit, it was fun, right?” Cologne couldn't help the small smile that appeared on her lips. “Yes, maybe a little,” she admitted. Berlin laughed again. “See? Sometimes, you have to get out of your comfort zone.” Cologne shook her head. “You're crazy. But I guess that's what makes you interesting.” Berlin smiled with satisfaction. “That's exactly what I wanted to hear. Now, let's try another ride!” Cologne sighed, but this time she followed Berlin without much protest. Maybe, just maybe, having fun with demons wasn't always as bad as she imagined.
