27. Special Episode Part Three

“Yoho, you two come here. I want to hug you both tightly. God I feel so happy right now!” Eden shouted with excitement. She was in a semi-drunk state naturally her behavior was getting out of control.
“Aish this strange beast is trying to stick to me. You should be the one being hugged by him,” Berlin protested pushing Eden's body towards Cologne.
“You damn it. Do you think I want to be attached to it?” Not to be outdone, Cologne also pushed Eden's body away from her.
This was the impromptu celebration party that Eden had forcefully held for the success of the case the other day. I don't know what possessed the man, but he looked so happy especially that this case could be solved well by Cologne who had now gotten a replacement for Jo as his coworker.
“It's crazy I'm staying here so long,” Berlin muttered in disgust.
“I should say that,” Cologne replied.
Amidst the increasingly frenzied atmosphere, Eden continued to embrace his two colleagues with uncontrollable enthusiasm. With her body swaying under the influence of alcohol, she swung her drinking glass around, almost spilling the contents in all directions.
“You know what? I've always believed that teamwork is the most important thing! Come on, let's toast to togetherness!” shouted Eden as she tried to stand up straight, but staggered instead. Her face was as red as a boiled crab.
Berlin and Cologne could only look at each other with desperate expressions. There was no other choice, they had to follow the crazy flow of this party until the end. The two of them had already been dragged into it.
“Did you see his face? Like a puppy who is too happy to meet its owner. How hard it is to be patient with a lowly human like this, what a hassle,” Berlin muttered in a mocking tone.
Cologne simply nodded while trying to take a deep breath. “I pray that this is over quickly.”
Meanwhile, other coworkers had begun to move away, seeking refuge in safer corners of the room. However, not all of them were able to escape this frenzy. A small stage in the corner of the room suddenly became the center of attention as Eden began to climb onto it.
“My beloved friends, everyone! Look I have a surprise for all of you!” she exclaimed in an increasingly shrill voice.
“Oh no, what now?” Berlin and Cologne sighed in unison.
Eden then pulled out a microphone from under her jacket. “I want to sing a song to celebrate our success! It's... uh, what's it called?” She looked confused, trying to remember something. She was so excited to sing the song.
Berlin shook her head. “Oh my God, we're going to hear a free concert from a drunk. I'd love to kill him. Do you think that's bad?” Berlin's joke only made things worse. Demons were playful and unfortunately, their jokes were not at all funny to humans.
Cologne tried to crack a joke to break the ice. “Well, at least it will be a memorable moment. But you don't have to kill him. Because that will only make things worse.”
Eden finally found the song title she was looking for. “Oh yeah! ‘We Are The Champions’ by Queen! Let's all sing along with me. Come on charming gentlemen and ladies!” With great enthusiasm and a broken vein of shame. Eden really did not feel embarrassed anymore.
With the accompaniment of music that came out of nowhere, Eden began to sing passionately, even though her tone was more like shouting than singing. The other colleagues, who had been trying to stay away, now couldn't help but laugh. Seeing Eden struggling to sing the legendary song in a half-drunk state was indeed a very entertaining and ridiculous sight.
Cologne tried to distract herself by picking up a bottle of drink and pouring the contents into her own glass. “At least if I'm drunk too, I can get through this,” she said as she took a sip of her drink.
Berlin looked at him with a frown. “Don't think you can leave me alone to deal with this. I'll throw your alcohol away!” Berlin threatened. Of course Berlin who was a demon would not be able to feel drunk because of that, he secretly envied Cologne who as a human could feel what it was called drunk.
“Take it easy, I'm not that cruel. Because I can be more cruel than this, hahahaha .... “ Cologne with a thin mocking smile poured a large amount of alcohol into her glass.
After finishing her short 'concert', Eden came back down from the stage and immediately rushed towards Berlin and Cologne again. “You two! You guys are my heroes! Come on, we have to drink more!”
Before they could dodge, Eden had already hugged them both tightly, leaving them with no choice but to be dragged back and accept their fate that night.
The other colleagues began to join in, bringing a more relaxed spirit. They started dancing and laughing, getting dragged into the unexpected joy that Eden had created. What had been a chaotic party had now turned into an unforgettable moment of togetherness, with everyone feeling both the madness and the fun of celebrating their success.
“For God's sake just end it!” Cologne really couldn't take it anymore when Eden kept dragging her into the chaos.
“I told you. It's better to kill him. The smell of this human's armpit might give me amnesia,” protested Berlin, who was being hugged by Eden, forced to smell the unpleasant scent of the man's sweat.
“For once I agree with you,” said Cologne.
One thing is for sure, they will never forget Eden's crazy impromptu party.
***
“I will never forget this day.” And that was the first sentence uttered by Berlin when he and Cologne came out of the place rented by Eden to serve as an impromptu party venue.
“Huh, you're the one who wants to remember it. I will never want to remember this day. And I want to forget it immediately.” Although it was actually clear that Cologne herself would not be able to forget today's events just like that.
Berlin folded her arms across her chest. “Really?”
“We shouldn't be talking about such unimportant things.” Cologne tried to be evasive.
After that, there was no more sound. There was only the sound of footsteps that could be heard so clearly accompanying their journey. Incidentally, the event ended at midnight. Making the streets feel so quiet. But fortunately, the location of the place rented by Eden was not far from Cologne's residence. So the two of them only had to walk, even though it was quite a distance.
“Hey Cologne,” called Berlin who again became the first figure to break the silence between the two.
“What? It's better if you don't ask me to talk,” Cologne replied lazily. She really wasn't interested in responding to Berlin at all.
