28. Special Episode Part Four Final

“No, this time it's important. Do you think Eden will remember all the mess she made tonight?” Berlin looked at Cologne with a serious expression.
Cologne was silent for a moment, then let out a long breath. “I hope not. It will save us from greater embarrassment.” And what Cologne said was indeed true, had Eden recalled this mess, the next morning her mouth would have been very loud indeed.
Berlin smiled sarcastically. “You know, humans have a strange ability to remember things they should forget and forget things they should remember.”
Cologne looked at Berlin in disbelief. “Unfortunately, I know that all too well. You can't just talk wise like this. It hurts my ears to hear you talk like this,” she complained.
“That means your ears need to be plugged.”
“No thanks.”
After a while, the two arrived in front of Cologne's house. She opened the door quietly, then turned to face Berlin. “Well, good night. I hope the nightmares about the party keep bothering you.”
Berlin raised an eyebrow. “You know I don't dream, right? So it's obvious that the nightmares will only haunt you,” she said in a mocking tone.
Cologne sighed heavily. “Yes, unfortunately I know that.”
Berlin turned to leave, but suddenly stopped. “Oh, one more thing.”
Cologne sighed again. “What now?”
“If Eden invites us to the party again, remind me to bring earplugs and air freshener. I'm really getting sick of that armpit smell.” Berlin waved briefly before entering the house first leaving Cologne who could only exhale heavily and follow her into the house.
“Ou bastard you should wash your feet later. I don't want to let the floor of my house get dirty because of you!” scolded Cologne.
Berlin ignored Cologne as if he hadn't even heard her reprimand.

In the morning of the next day, Cologne woke up with a throbbing head. The previous night's party had been absolutely exhausting. She looked at the mirror in the bathroom and sighed. “New day, new challenges, this is the fate of a human who is still not dead and has to work to make ends meet,” she muttered while trying to encourage herself. Despite feeling tired as usual, at least this morning he felt grateful that Berlin didn't bother him like he often did.
When she arrived at the office, she saw Eden already sitting at her desk, looking fresh and energetic. “Good morning, Cologne! How did you sleep?” Eden greeted her with a big smile. There was no sign of her chaotic figure like the night before.
Cologne could only look at her in shock. “Are you okay? Considering what happened last night, I didn't expect you to be so fresh this morning.” To be honest, Cologne secretly prayed that Eden would not come to work today. Because she honestly felt disgusted when she saw the man's face.
Eden laughed loudly. “Of course! That's because I drank special coffee this morning. It's so potent, you should try it!” she said excitedly.
Cologne shook her head. “No, thank you. I'd rather stay sane.” Cologne was disappointed, for some reason she felt as if her prayers had fallen on deaf ears.
Berlin, who had just entered the office, immediately picked up on their conversation. “Special coffee? Are you sure it's not a magic potion? Or maybe a memory eraser?” he said suddenly.
Eden laughed again. “No, no. Just coffee. But anyway, thank you for coming to my party. It means a lot to me.”
Cologne nodded slowly, trying to avoid Berlin's mocking gaze. “Yes, you're welcome. It was... fun.”
Berlin, who couldn't help himself, added, “So much fun that I almost blew my own head off to end it all.”
Eden either didn't seem to hear Berlin's sarcastic comment or chose to ignore it. “Oh, and before I forget, I'm planning on throwing another party next week to celebrate our continued success!”
Cologne and Berlin looked at each other in horror. Cologne tried to tamp down her worries. “Eden, maybe we can celebrate in a more... quiet way? Maybe just a regular dinner?” Damn it, who would want to get involved with such a weird thing a second time?
Eden nodded vigorously. “That's a great idea! We can plan it together! How about we have dinner at our favorite place?”
Berlin took a deep breath. “As long as there are no impromptu concerts, I agree. If you do something like that again. I will never hesitate to make you my next meal.”
Eden smiled broadly not at all bothered by Berlin's sharp comments to her... “Agreed! Thank you, guys. You really are the best.”
Cologne looked at Berlin with eyes that said, This is still better than another crazy night. Berlin just shrugged, and her face looked completely unconcerned.
“Well, at least I just wanted to survive the worst,” Cologne said quietly. Honestly, Cologne didn't want to get involved with this kind of thing again.
Berlin nodded. “For now, yes. But let's prepare a backup plan for next week. Whether you want to or not, you have to cooperate with me in order to avoid the bad luck that befell you.”
And with that, they both went back to their work, hoping that next week's dinner would not turn into another mess like the night before. However, they also knew that with Eden, anything was possible.

Lunchtime
It was Cologne who chose not to go out for lunch at her usual place. Because today, she made her own lunch.
While Berlin had already gone missing before lunchtime arrived. The extroverted demon really knew how to play the role of a figure who got along with many people so that it could take advantage of others properly.
“Ou are you alone Cologne where is your good friend Berlin?” greeted Eden who suddenly appeared out of nowhere.
Damn it even though I really want to avoid her, but why did she even appear like a damn rancid? Cologne thought annoyed at the unexpected presence of Eden's figure.
“Let me accompany you here.” Now Eden deliberately sat close to Cologne. She even brought a lunch box that she seemed to have prepared beforehand.
Cologne really wanted to avoid. But because Eden had already sat there. Like it or not, she had to stay put. Because she herself did not want to waste her precious lunch time.
“Hey Cologne, by the way you are very lucky to have a new partner who replaced Jo. Although I know that obviously Jo will never be replaced by anyone.” Unprompted Eden went back to babbling to her heart's content.
If only Eden knew, about the true reality of Berlin's real figure. Can she still keep babbling like this?
“Of course Jo will never be replaced by anyone I even thought about it. To stop working instead of having to choose someone else to replace Jo,” replied Cologne.
“I know that. But seeing that you were able to solve the case so well together with Berlin. I think that's a good step forward. Somehow I feel that most likely, the two of you will continue to be involved in this work,” Eden said honestly.
Wanting Cologne shouted right in front of Berlin's face. “What makes you sure of that?” Cologne certainly felt hesitant to continue working together with Berlin.
Suddenly Eden smiled and the smile on her face looked very strange in Cologne's eyes.
“Because you will continue to be stuck together with him for a very long time.”
Those words successfully made Cologne's feelings turn bad. The sensation this time, however, was not the same as what she had felt before. There was a feeling of threat as well as something strange filling her heart.
