16. Fire in Your Heart

Who could have ignited this fire in my heart? The warmth like in the flames made me come back, understanding what warmth is.
That heat ignited the fire in my heart. I was burning in that flame. It felt like my life was filled with burning heat.
Is that how the world basically works?
I don't know the answer to that either. Where do I always want to find out the answer. Whether in books or the internet?
It's basically an overwhelming sense of curiosity. That overwhelming feeling... where I wondered to myself how I could overcome it.
I feel happy as well as scared in a feeling that doesn't end.

"Are you alright Nakamori?" called out Haejin, Nakamori's classmate.
Nakamori was a little surprised to hear Haejin's voice. He was so preoccupied with his own thoughts that he didn't even notice the existence of his seatmate.
Haejin, who was confused, then placed his hand on Nakamori's forehead. He tried to feel through the back of his hand, ascertaining if his friend was okay.
"Are you sick?" he asked once again.
Nakamori moved Haejin's hand away from his forehead. "I'm fine. There's no need to worry. I just didn't get enough sleep," Nakamori said.
Haejin still felt anxious. His roommate was always, always unable to be honest with him about not being okay. Haejin tried to reach for Nakamori's hand, he wanted to hold his close friend's hand.
"Please just say one word about whatever is bothering you. I can't stand it, seeing you go on like this seemingly thinking about something endlessly." Haejin tried to get Nakamori to open up.
Nakamori sighed heavily. "There have been some strange events that have made my mind a little messy. It feels really uncomfortable." Nakamori finally opened his mouth about his problem.
Haejin smiled slightly, he then pulled Nakamori into his arms. "I may not be able to understand your distress. But I hope that when I hug you to calm you down, you won't mind me treating you this way."
Normally Nakamori, would reject this kind of hug but for once. He might learn, how a human being should share his affection with others. This kind of feeling might be a bit disturbing for him. But in a way, she was trying to learn and understand how emotions work properly. Made him want to accept and also appreciate a little how that warm feeling, more or less filled him.
Haejin then released his embrace from Nakamori. "I'm sorry for making you feel uncomfortable," he said regretfully.
"Isn't this what you mean by feelings of affection?" Nakamori pulled Haejin's body and this time, it was her who hugged Haejin tightly. "The feeling might be a little disturbing but... maybe I need this for a little while. Haejin... just let me understand this feeling for a while," Nakamori pleaded sincerely.
"I didn't expect you to finally learn to understand it. I will help you." Haejin smiled sincerely for Nakamori.

Time continued to pass quickly. Before he knew it, it was time for Nakamori to sleep. Sleep if he himself can sleep ....
Receiving support from his closest friends did make Nakamori feel happy. But still, in his heart he still felt uneasy. Nakamori was reminded of the figure in the flames. It was not a pleasant feeling to remember that figure.
The strange feeling he had felt before, ran through his body again. He felt so hot as if his body had been burned in the flames. It was hot and painful.
Feeling uncomfortable, Nakamori tried to sleep. He wanted to distract his mind. But the opposite happened. Suddenly he dreamed of seeing a huge fire in front of his eyes.
"WHAT THE HELL?!" A panicked Nakamori immediately woke up and jumped out of bed. He immediately wanted to leave his room. That is, until someone he didn't know where he was from appeared and pulled him by the hand, leading him into the flames.
Nakamori was shocked and frightened when someone suddenly pulled him into the flames that appeared in his dream. He struggled and tried to break free, but the person was strong and invisible. Darkness enveloped them both, and Nakamori felt an unbearable heat fill his entire body.
In confusion and fear, Nakamori tried to center his mind. He remembered the support of his friends and the strength he got from them. With strong determination, he decided not to give up and fought his way out of this frightening situation.
Nakamori gathered all the courage he had and tried to free himself. He pushed and fought against the forces holding him down, all the while trying to remember that this was just a dream. He repeated the mantra in his mind, "It's just a dream, I'm strong, I can break free."
Slowly, Nakamori felt his strength increase. He felt fiery energy radiating from within him, fighting the flames that surrounded him. With one final push, he managed to break free and escape the flames.
Nakamori was panting and sweating as he woke up from his pitch-black sleep. He was relieved that it had only been a dream, though the sensation of heat and fear still ran through his body. He sat on the edge of the bed, trying to calm himself and watch his breathing.
Although the events in the dream disturbed him, Nakamori realized that he had to find a way to deal with it.
Saeran and that was the name that came to his mind right now. He then intended to contact Saeran. He hurriedly picked up his smart phone that was lying on the table. But just as she was about to pick up the cell phone. Suddenly he felt like his hand was being held by someone.
Nakamori was surprised, he then looked towards the person and found a strange woman, standing in front of him.
"Let go of me!" Nakamori tried to pull her hand away.
The woman didn't answer, but she gripped Nakamori's hand even tighter.
"Yuck." Nakamori pulled her hand forcefully after that, her hand now completely free from the strange woman. Feeling free of the woman, Nakamori tried to attack the woman. But unfortunately, it was an exercise in futility.
The woman again held Nakamori's hand easily. She then dragged the girl's body.
"Urgh... urgh... off... off you freak!" growled Nakamori. The girl then tried to scream for her parents. Unfortunately, she didn't have time to do so because the strange woman had pushed her body to fall down through the window of her room.
Nakamori could feel her body being held tightly by the woman, then plunging freely downwards.
