24. Go Home

Poppy snorted, she was annoyed that Nakamori seemed to have misunderstood. The figure of Saeran seen in Nakamori's eyes earlier was a shadow created by Lily's friends to protect Nakamori temporarily until she and Lily arrived here. Poppy is convinced that Nakamori thinks she killed Saeran.

Poppy was sure that Nakamori thought she killed Saeran. "I didn't kill him. The one you saw earlier wasn't the love of your life, it was just a shadow made by his friends!" Poppy said, pointing at Lily.

Lily smiled hesitantly as Poppy pointed at her. "Calm down, no one is hurt here. Come follow us, we want to take you home." Lily approached Nakamori. As Lily approached Nakamori didn't dodge, she let herself go so Lily could approach easily. "Can you take me home?" Nakamori gently asked Lily.

Lily nodded. "Of course, I'll walk you home with her." Lily pointed at Poppy.

Poppy snorted in annoyance. She felt that Lily seemed to be picky when it came to her behavior. Somehow when she was with him, Nakamori seemed to treat her coldly and with distrust. But when she was with Lily, the girl was easily warm and accepting. With an annoyed look on her face, Poppy tried to calm down and understand the situation.

She realized that Nakamori had misinterpreted the shadow created by Lily's friends as Saeran, her lover. Although she felt upset and hurt by Nakamori's distrust of her, she knew that this was a misunderstanding.

Poppy then tried to explain patiently, "Nakamori, I know you misunderstood. The shadow was just an illusion created by Lily's friends." Nakamori looked confused, but she tried to accept Poppy's explanation. "But... why did the shadow look so real? And why did you two come together? I'm confused."

Lily who had overheard their conversation smiled gently, trying to give a further explanation. "The shadow was created by my friends with illusion magic. They wanted to protect you temporarily until the two of us got here. We came together because we wanted to make sure you were okay." Poppy added, "I know you find it hard to believe the shadows, and I apologize for this misunderstanding. But, just trust me for once."

Nakamori pondered for a moment, trying to process all the information she had received. He looked at the two girls, Lily's gentle and kind face, and Poppy who looked tough but also hurt by this situation.

She began to feel guilty for having misinterpreted everything. "I... apologize," Nakamori said sincerely. "I panicked and made the wrong assumption. I should have trusted you more." Poppy smiled in relief at the apology. "It's okay, Nakamori. The important thing is that you understand now. Come on, let's go home together. Let me and Lilly take you home."

Lilly extended her hand to Nakamori, offering to help him up. After feeling strong enough, Nakamori accepted Lily's hand with a small smile.

The three of them then walked out of Nakamori's house. As they walked together, Poppy tried to show her warm and caring side to Nakamori, trying to gain the girl's trust. As for Lilly, she gently listened to Nakamori's story about what had happened since she left.

"All of this feels strange to me. You two are even beings that I believe, are not human. I didn't know I would have such a complicated life," Nakamori lamented.

Poppy and Lily looked at each other, understanding the gravity of Nakamori's situation. Poppy tried to give Nakamori some support, "I know this feels very strange and unbelievable, Nakamori. But you're not alone in facing this. We are here for you, and we will face this together."

Lily nodded in agreement, adding, "You're right, Nakamori. We also felt confused and scared in the beginning, but we learned to deal with it. Don't hesitate to ask if there's anything you don't understand."

Nakamori sighed and tried to smile. "Thank you, you two. I really didn't know what to do without you guys here. I feel anxious and confused, but I also feel relieved that you're here with me."

Poppy and Lily smiled warmly, pleased that Nakamori was starting to feel a little more comfortable with their presence. They walked together quietly, while occasionally exchanging jokes to distract Nakamori's anxious feelings.

Poppy smiled understandingly, "No need to apologize, Nakamori. This is a confusing situation for all of us. What matters now is that we can support each other and be safe."

Nakamori felt warm in her heart, knowing that she had the support of Poppy and Lily. She felt a little more confident.

"Thank you, I will try to be stronger and braver," Nakamori said with determination.

Poppy and Lily smiled happily, they looked happy.

"Oh... before you go back, I think there's someone you should meet," Poppy said suddenly.

"Are you talking about Irene?" said Nakamori quickly.

"How did you guess that so well?" Poppy looked a little surprised that Nakamori knew that so well.

"Because she's me? I think it would be very strange if someone couldn't recognize her well."

"I think what she said is true," Lily said.

"Whatever." Poppy snapped her fingers, and a young woman appeared in front of them all.

"Hello. We meet again. I think I'm sure you must already know a little bit about some strange facts. Isn't that interesting?" The woman, who could be called Irene, looked nosy as she said that to Nakamori.

"Well maybe you're right. It's not too bad to know some strange truths. Even if it's something unexpected." Nakamori then walked closer to Irene. "At least I know, that in the future my life won't be so bad because I'm walking with someone I can trust."

"Are you talking about Saeran?" Irene teased.

Nakamori just shrugged her shoulders and made a funny face.

Seeing Nakamori's reaction made Irene laugh. "You're good at entertaining." She then leaned closer to Nakamori and whispered in his ear, "please take care of Saeran, I trust you," she whispered.

"I'll take care of him, you just relax," Nakamori replied.

After that Irene smiled widely and turned her gaze towards Poppy and Lily. "I think this is enough. I won't make it any harder," she said.

Understanding what Irene meant, Poppy nodded her head to indicate that she understood and agreed with Irene.

Irene slowly disappeared, smiling as she waved her hand. Until finally her form was no longer visible.

"We'd better get back," Poppy said. She then looked at Lily for a moment. "Do you still want to come with me?"

Lily nodded. She then pulled Nakamori's hand and grasped it tightly. "Come on. We have to go home soon."
