16. Little Problem

Dizzy... that was the first word Gaeul could utter, after waking up with such an excruciating pain in her head.
“Are you awake?” Chyou suddenly came in with a glass of water and a tray with a small bowl. “You seemed to be having delusions earlier. I won't force you to tell me right now about your condition. But you should recover well,” Chyou said softly as she handed the glass of water to Gaeul.
“Thank you.” Although she honestly felt uncomfortable, Gaeul herself somehow felt like she couldn't help it. It seemed like his memory was in turmoil at the moment. The last time she remembered was when she met a figure in the form of Fall Grey. Where Gaeul herself was completely unsure if that figure was a real person or a form of her delusion.
“It looks like you're not in a good condition. You'd better rest first.” Chyou put down the bowl of homemade tofu soup. “Eat this, I don't know if it tastes the same as water or not. But at least it's enough to make you feel full.”
Gaeul grabbed the bowl and tasted some of the soup. “Don't equate your homemade cooking with dishwater....”
“Does that mean my cooking tastes good to you?” Chyou was slightly hoping for a compliment.
“It tastes more like sock bath water.”
“Oh I guess I was expecting too much. Please continue eating if you still have the appetite.” Chyou was about to leave Gaeul, but suddenly her hand was held by Gaeul.
Chyou brushed Gaeul's hand away. “Isn't it enough for you to insult my cooking as equivalent to a sock bath?” Chyou was indeed offended, that the dishes he made with all his heart were compared to a sock bath. Wasn't this tantamount to making fun of his efforts?
“Regardless of it tasting like soaking water... I can feel the warmth here. Do you put your feelings into your cooking?” Gaeul inhaled Chyou's mouthful of soup. “I don't know why it feels so warm. It seems like you really made it with a feeling of love.”
And those words succeeded in making, Chyou almost poured the soup towards Gaeul. She wasn't angry, but rather felt happy and embarrassed at the same time.
At least it managed to make her feel comforted. Although it wasn't as bad as the sock bath, it was still too salty, Gaeul said to himself.
After the moving scene, Helian suddenly appeared with a bouquet of flowers in her hand.
“Gaeul I hope you will be better. So here I brought some fresh plants for you,” she said as she handed over the bouquet.
And when Gaeul took the bouquet how surprised she was, to find fresh grass tied into a bouquet. Plus the grass had a caterpillar hanging from one of the leaves. Luckily, Gaeul liked caterpillars, so she deliberately took the caterpillar and put it in her hand, then petted it like a rabbit.
“You don't seem surprised by the gift I gave you. Do you like it?” asked Helian with an incredulous face. To be honest, she had planned to tease Gaeul but who would have thought it would have no effect on her.
“Your taste is really strange,” said Chyou feeling astonished with Gaeu. But she also realized that since the first time she met Gaeul, the young man did have a unique charm that made her wonder a little why it seemed as if he seemed to exude an aura of intelligent madness.
Despite wondering Chyou at least confidently felt that it was indeed a unique charm possessed by Gaeul.
“By the way why did you guys go this far for me. I guess, I never made a promise of friendship to you guys. All I felt all this time, when I was with you guys was just to help.” Gaeul felt astonished by the two people in front of him right now. Somehow he felt like he was being cared for. Hadn't she never promised anything to these two people?
Chyou and Helian stared at each other. The two just looked at each other, as if giving each other an answer.
“I know for certain that you two are thinking the same thing. So I'm asking both of you to give just one answer. It's enough to be represented by only one person.” Gaeul didn't want to beat around the bush, after all she felt that Chyou and Helian just wanted to express to her how great a friendship they had. Classic words that dramatized the relationship of friendship over blood relations. To be honest, Gaeul himself was fed up with those words. To her, humans overestimated such relationships.
“I will represent Helian to speak. As much as I find you annoying, we both seem to share the same train of thought. Both of us will accompany you to the end to beat your smart-ass head until it leaks,” Chyou said with a serious face.
Gaeul was dumbfounded with his typical flat face. “Chasing me? Do you hate me?”
Chyou wanted to open her mouth again. But who would have thought that Helian would just come forward and flick Gaeul's forehead anxiously.
“You idiot. You couldn't even think about Chyou's words just now properly. Didn't you think you were smart all this time? But I think, you clearly have a fatal flaw for a human being. Realize that you are not that great. You have a pitiful flaw. You should realize that.” Helian then looked at Gaeul with an equally serious face. But it was soon replaced with a mischievous smile. “Well maybe... if the three of us are together long enough you'll understand what it is to have a relationship between humans.”
Gaeul was silent. She honestly didn't really understand. But for some reason, she felt like she was struck by those simple words. To her, she felt as if she was being insulted in the simplest way. He honestly wanted to argue but for some reason the words couldn't come out of his throat. They just choked, just like choking on a salted fish bone.
Chyou who realized that Gaeul was quite slapped by Helian's words. Tried to change the topic. It wasn't very comfortable for her to discuss the contents of her heart for too long. Just let things like this flow over time. Isn't the meaning of understanding good words, not to be understood in a moment and then forgotten?
“If you need us, come to one of our rooms. You should rest now.” Chyou then pulled Helian's hand and led the taller youth away from Gaeul's room.
And when Chyou's hand almost touched the algae of the door. Gaeul suddenly said something that made Chyou's stomach acid rise instantly, “Chyou, Helian thank you. You two go get some rest too,” she said ending with an overly sweet smile.
Chyou nodded while Helian, who was being held by Chyou, winked with a yes. Then the two people who looked like father and son left, due to their contrasting appearance. One was small and had the face of a child, while the other was big and handsome, a typical lizard-footed playboy.
