16. Sunflower

“Why are you here?” asked Jack when he saw Lea in front of him, busy picking out flowers.
“I'm the one who should be asking you that question,” Lea retorted. "I'm here to pick out the flowers I want to give to my close friend who's getting married soon. It's strange to find a cold man like you going to a flower shop like this. Don't you want to buy flowers for a woman?” Lea accused originally.
Jack was a little surprised to hear that. "For God's sake. Didn't expect you to say that. Didn't I hear you wrong?" Jack deliberately overacted and even covered his mouth with his hand. He deliberately did that to tease Lea.
“Hey why are you being like that?!” Upset Lea almost threw Jack with the flower she held in her hand.
Jack cleared his throat intending to wake Lea up. "You shouldn't bring your bad habits at home. This is a public place. You could damage other people's property. Even though you're rich, that doesn't mean you should be able to get away with it,” Jack admonished sagely. In fact, he deliberately did that just to make Lea's anger even more uncontrollable. To be honest, he really liked seeing Lea's facial expressions when angry, which looked similar to an octopus.
Lea let out her breath roughly. Trying to calm herself down. Realizing that she was currently in a public place, and didn't want to make a scene with Jack.
"If we meet later at home. I'll hit you over the head with a pot. Just remember that!"
But Jack wasn't scared at all. And looked indifferent like he wasn't listening at all.

Jack went to the flower shop because Nino asked him to buy her flowers. Natasha, Nino's girlfriend, had a birthday coming up. Since Nino was busy, he asked Jack to buy his girlfriend's favorite sunflowers.
Jack's hand stretched out to take the sunflowers. And accidentally appeared another hand that also wanted to take the sunflower.
“Ah sorry- damn you again?” Lea grumbled when she realized that her hand accidentally touched Jack.
Jack rolled his eyes lazily. "It's just a coincidence, don't make a big deal out of it. Please,” he pleaded. He didn't want to argue and just wanted to buy the flowers with peace of mind.
"Who are the flowers for? For your girlfriend?” Lea accused again.
"You like to accuse me of strange things. Even though we're married. Do you have an obsession with accusing me?" Jack was embarrassed by Lea's accusations.
“Then?”
"This is for Nino's girlfriend. And I was asked by Nino to buy these flowers because, he was busy. You have no reason to accuse me of anything strange." As quickly as possible Jack explained to Lea so that she wouldn't accuse him again.
“I see,” Lea said coldly as if she didn't care about the explanation given by Jack earlier.
"It's just a coincidence that we both chose sunflowers. By the way, you like quince, right? So you can definitely try firsthand to taste how these sunflower drawers taste." Jack joked by thrusting a large sunflower in front of Lea's face.
“You're crazy!” Lea scolded.
"Oh sure, I'd be crazy if I told you to eat them directly. You know that sunflowers are produced by florets. Where the floret itself is a thousand small flowers on the head of a large sunflower." While teasing Jack actually gave an explanation of the origin of the dwarf.
“Damn it, I didn't ask you to explain.”
Jack laughed at Lea who was trying to contain her anger. The originally quiet flower shop became a small stage for two people arguing with each other. That husband and wife really liked making a scene in a public place.
“Actually, did you know that these sunflowers have a lot of benefits other than just being a decoration or ingredient of a dumpling?” Jack began to explain, seizing the opportunity to show his little knowledge. "Sunflower oil is very good for health. It's high in vitamin E and can help keep your heart healthy."
Lea rolled her eyes again. "Don't try to distract me with general knowledge. I'm still annoyed that you bothered me picking flowers."
Jack smiled. "Well, I'm sorry Princess. I just wanted to make the atmosphere lighter. Don't be so uptight, I see your wrinkles are growing,” he quipped.
Lea sighed, trying to ease her emotions. "Alright, I'll choose another flower. After all, maybe my close friends would prefer roses or lilies."
Jack nodded, feeling a little relieved. "That's a good idea. In the meantime, I'll take these sunflowers and leave quickly before we meet again in a more unexpected place."
Lea sighed heavily. "You're right. Don't let us meet again. I'll go crazy if I see you out like this too often."
Jack laughed mockingly before finally parting ways to go about his own business. Jack quickly paid for the sunflowers and headed out of the store. However, when he came out, he saw Lea standing outside the store, looking a little confused.
“Why are you still here?” Jack asked curiously.
Lea shrugged."I just realized, I forgot to bring my wallet. And my friend who was supposed to come pick me up is still on his way. So, it looks like I'm stuck here for a while."
Jack laughed again. "What a strange day.Well, I'll keep you company until your friend arrives."
Lea nodded reluctantly."I won't thank you since it's your own wish. And remember not to talk about general knowledge here again, I'm sick of hearing it.I don't want to feel like I'm in class."
The two sat on a bench outside the flower shop, enjoying the fresh air and quiet surroundings. Jack began to tell me about how much he used to hate sunflowers because he was once pricked by a small thorn from the stem when he was a child. However, over time, he came to appreciate their beauty and benefits.
“And you know what?” Jack continued. "Sunflowers also have heliotropism. That is, they always face towards the sun. That's why they're called sunflowers. They remind me of someone who is always looking for the light in life, even in the darkness."Again, Jack was throwing out general knowledge questions that were now wrapped in philosophical meaning.Lea listened carefully, realizing that behind all the jokes and sarcastic comments, Jack had a gentle and caring side. "You know, Jack, sometimes I feel weird about you.And now hearing you talk about general knowledge and wrapped in philosophy like this makes you even weirder and I don't understand.I told you to stop talking about general knowledge and now you're adding to it."Jack smiled."Do you mind hearing it? That's a shame, but this kind of stuff is good for someone like you to hear."Lea glared at Jack's words.“Are you insulting me?”
Jack put on a flat face and looked innocent.“Realize Princess that you can't rage like a madman when you're outside.”So there Jack got a great blow to his head that came from Lea.Where she tortured him with her sharp heels. The philosophy that can be obtained this time is not to tease fierce women too often. If this is your life is still safe.
