Chapter 110: Secrets of the Old Years

Dylan's hand tightened, his deep eyes still staring at Nancy. He never expected that she was Alex's dream lover. She was so beautiful and delicate, no wonder many people fell in love with her. Even he was stuck in this dead-end love.
It's just that he doesn't want her to have that feeling for any other man, even if she doesn't love him, she shouldn't love anyone else.
“Yes, it's me.” Nancy bowed her head slightly and answered briefly.
“Please let me hug you once instead of my late brother.”
After saying that, Lisa walked forward, hugged Nancy, and repeatedly apologized for doubting her. It wasn't until Paul announced that the exhibition's opening time was coming that Lisa let go and quickly wiped away her tears.
“Can everyone go down to the hall first? I want to talk to her privately for a moment.”
Dylan and David Macron nodded and quickly walked out, Paul also following them.
“How's Lyle's side?” Dylan asked in a low voice.
“No information yet. Miss Mina is in the technical room checking the videos.” Paul replied quickly.
When Dylan went down to the hall, he saw Lyle standing there neatly, so he was a little surprised but still didn't ask. He thought Lyle was looking for the robber.
As soon as the opening ceremony ended, Lyle quickly made his way through the crowd to the gemstone raw material area to come in front of Laura and show her an earring.
“I picked it up near the stairwell, where the emergency button sent out the fire alarm. Come with me.”
Laura's face turned pale, before she could say anything, he grabbed her hand and dragged her to the warehouse. Dylan saw them and immediately followed, he didn't understand what Lyle was doing, he didn't care about finding the lost diamond but instead took the earrings to flirt with his old employee.
As soon as the two of them entered the warehouse, Laura was pushed by Lyle and fell to the floor. She saw his eyes flashing with a sharp gaze, almost as if he wanted to kill someone.
“Where is the diamond?” Lyle asked in a harsh voice.
“I don't understand what you're saying, what diamond?” Laura tried to stay calm, her neck strained as she shouted.
“Don't you understand? Then let the police carry you to the station.”
After saying that, Lyle took out his phone and started to walk out. Laura hurriedly crawled after him, pulling his leg back.
“Don't, Lyle, you can't call the police.”
“Can't call?” Lyle turned his head to look at her, his mouth curled up as he asked.
“If you call the police, I will publicly announce to the media that Rosalind harmed the Southern Company, causing a man named Nathan to have an accident…”
“Laura, what nonsense are you talking about?”
Although Lyle looked very scary when angry, Laura could still see that he was worried. She tried to calm down, smiled, and stood up.
“I'm not talking nonsense, I heard this with my ears from you and Mr. Wynn. Tell me, if that man named Nathan knew, would he leave Rosalind alone?”
“Is what you said true?”
Dylan's deep voice suddenly rang out, causing both Laura and Lyle to startle and look towards the door. When Lyle saw the phone in Dylan's hand placed to his ear, he was so worried that he stuttered.
“Dylan, who are you... talking to?”
“Rosalind.” Dylan lowered his hand and ended the call midway.
Lyle hurriedly called Rosalind but she kept not answering. Feeling that something was wrong, he looked at Dylan urgently.
“I leave the matter here to you. I will explain everything later.”
After saying that, Lyle immediately ran to the parking lot. The deserted warehouse now had only two people left.
Laura felt the cold air surrounding her. The power from this man was so great that she was extremely scared, she unconsciously retreated, her legs trembling unsteadily, causing her to fall to the floor again.
“Tell your accomplices to return the Sancy diamond and I will let this matter go. And never reveal the past story to the press, otherwise, you can guess the consequences.”
When Dylan's figure disappeared, Laura bowed her head and cried. Her seemingly perfect plan instantly turned into a soap bubble.
Just now, while she was running away, the security guards suddenly blocked the doors, so she followed the guests gathered down to the exhibition area, intending to wait for the right opportunity to blend in with the crowd of people leaving to escape, but she unexpectedly, the earring Lyle gave her denounced her.
Laura trembled as she took out her phone to call Nolan and told him everything, then staggered out of the warehouse, and took a taxi to the clinic to meet him because he had fallen while jumping from the hotel window to escape.
Dylan went back to the third floor to find Nancy and found that the room was left with only Lisa and David Macron. He intended to wait until she finished touring the exhibition areas before offering to take her home, but she had already left.
Lisa gave the fountain pen to Dylan so he could take it back to the workshop to repair the crown. However, she expressed her hope that he could quickly find the stolen diamond so that he could keep the pen intact because this was a gift her brother gave to Nancy and she didn't want to take it from that girl.
“I will try, if there is any information I will let you know immediately.” Dylan nodded slightly.
“Chairman, she... and you...” Lisa hesitated a bit, her blue pupils looked at him as if searching.
“Yes, that's the girl I love, even before Alex, I'll tell you later when I have time.”
Dylan bowed to the two of them and then hugged the crown box and returned to the company. The words Laura had said earlier kept ringing in his head. It turned out that Lyle had known everything for a long time but hadn't told him anything.
Because Dylan wanted to know the whole story, as soon as he got into the car, he immediately called Wynn, telling him to come to the company, but Wynn said he was on tour in the province and promised to come early tomorrow morning.
As for Lyle, from the time he got in the car until now, he kept calling Rosalind but no one answered. When he called Alisa, she said she was on her way from the countryside to the city and according to her, Rosalind had no work schedule today, just at home.
Too impatient, he increased the speed. The luxury car sped away, almost colliding with a car going in the opposite direction.
Just now, after blocking the entrance, he ran to the third floor to check and discovered that the earring he gave Laura fell near the stairs, right next to the fire alarm button.
Suspecting that she was the thief's accomplice, he immediately told the technical department to search for her location. When he received the notice that she had gone down to the hall, he asked them to continue monitoring so that he could finish the opening ceremony and handle it himself, not wanting the security staff to intervene for fear of attracting attention and causing panic among the guests.
Lyle didn't expect Laura to eavesdrop on his conversation with Wynn and know about Rosalind's mistake in the past, and he didn't expect Dylan to be standing right there and calling Rosalind.
