Chapter 125: Funny Couple

Nancy felt reassured when she heard that and climbed on. At first the motorbike ran very smoothly, but after a while it suddenly jerked back and forth, jumping like a frog, making her jump in a panic, her whole body leaning close to Dylan's back, her arms holding him tightly.
As soon as she let him go, she continued to rush at him as if she was addicted to him. Only when the old motorbike could no longer dance did Dylan realize that it had run out of gas. So, he and she had to take it to the nearby gas station.
Seeing him smiling and looking at her, she just wanted to crawl into the ground.
“How can you still laugh? How can you ride a motorbike without knowing it ran out of gas?” She asked.
“It's been a long time since I've used it, so I'm a bit confused. When I was still in school, I borrowed a friend's motorbike and didn't ride it until now.” He replied.
At this moment, Nancy knew she had given the egg to the devil. After such a long time, no wonder he rode the motorbike as if he was galloping on a horse.
Taking a deep breath to gather her courage, she continued to climb on the motorbike, sitting behind him, silently praying to God to bless them both to arrive safely because she felt a chill down her spine.
After passing the crowded street, she guided him into a deep alley and stopped in front of a small mechanical workshop.
As soon as the mechanic saw Nancy, he eagerly ran out to greet her.
“I came to get these knife codes.”
She said as she handed him the piece of paper. He nodded and went back inside. A moment later, he came back and handed her a box containing newly repaired knives. She happily took it, smiling.
“Thank you.”
“Does this guy work with you?” He asked her in a low voice, his eyes glued to the handsome man in front of him.
“I'm her fiancé.” Dylan quickly answered before Nancy could open her mouth.
“Oh, is that so? I'm so sorry for my boss, he was planning to confess his love to you. Luckily he was away, otherwise he would have been heartbroken. You…”
Before he could finish his sentence, Dylan snatched the box and grabbed Nancy's hand, pulling her out. It seemed that this woman had won the hearts of many men over the past year.
When he first came here, he heard Cara say that Nancy was pursued by many men. Although he had hoped that the person who came later would treat her better than him, thinking back, he was certain that in this world, there was no one who could love her and bring her as much happiness as he did.
“Dylan… Dylan, what are you doing? Let me go… let me go.”
Nancy's face turned purple because she was so angry, she tried her best to escape his hand. Dylan was also so angry that he wanted to explode.
For her, he had kept himself and his purity, lost sleep many nights and didn't want to eat, but she was here to create so many relationships.
“You don't want to be the wife of the president of Global Group, but you want to be the wife of the owner of a mechanical workshop. Nancy, are you trying to make me angry?”
Hearing him growl, Nancy was speechless. This was called slander. She had never said that she wanted to be the wife of the owner of the mechanical workshop, but he said it as if it were the truth.
She was so angry that she turned around and walked away. Dylan saw that and hurriedly followed her and begged.
“I'm sorry Nancy, I shouldn't have yelled at you. You quickly get on the motorbike.”
Even though Dylan begged, Nancy still ignored him and walked steadily. She hadn't gone far when she suddenly heard a dog barking.
Both of them stared at the iron gate of a nearby house, it was shaking, then a pitch-black dog appeared, so black that Nancy could only see its eyes blinking.
Then, after baring its teeth and grinning to get acquainted, it rushed over to ask for meat. She frantically jumped on the motorbike, shouted loudly and told Dylan to run quickly.
Dylan also panicked and quickly drove away. The dog still did not let go, following closely, chasing both of them like crazy.
Nancy could only close her eyes and curl her legs around Dylan's waist, her arms hugging his back tightly, her mouth constantly urging him to run a little faster.
Leaving the alley, Dylan did not observe carefully and rushed into the middle of the racing group of young men with blue and red hair.
There was no other way, so Dylan had to speed up to follow them. If he slowed down now, he would be hit by the motorbike behind him. Nancy had no choice but to close her eyes and leave everything to chance.
She wondered why every time she and he went together, they became miserable people, first being chased by dogs and then by motorbikes.
It wasn't until she heard the police car sirens blaring that she opened her eyelids and looked around. It turned out that Dylan had separated from the racing group and was immediately arrested by the police as soon as he turned into the alley.
Before they could celebrate the end of the race, she, he, and the motorbike were taken to the police station. The police chief walked back and forth and stopped his owlish eyes on Dylan's face.
“You look so bright, yet you follow a group of thugs and even bring your wife along when racing.”
Although Nancy and Dylan tried their best to explain, the police still did not believe them. It was not until Cara appeared to bail them out that they were released.
After all, Cara is the owner of a famous business here, so of course her words carry more weight than the couple who seriously violated traffic laws.
After work, Nancy quickly got on her bike and pedaled hard because she knew Dylan's car would take a long time to leave the gate because the workers' motorbikes were as numerous as ants. She was afraid that if he discovered her whereabouts, it would make her even more miserable.
After opening the door and entering the house, she quickly took a shower and changed her clothes.
Just as she picked up the pot to get some rice to cook, she suddenly heard a loud cry outside the gate. She poked her head out the window and was shocked when she saw Dylan standing behind the gate.
Because he kept yelling, she was forced to run out for fear of disturbing the neighbors.
“You... why did you come here? How do you know my house?” Nancy stammered.
“Can you cook more rice for me to eat? I just arrived and haven't bought any pots or pans yet.” Dylan made a sad face and pointed to the newly built boarding house opposite.
“Oh my god, then go out to eat.”
“My stomach hasn't been good these past few days, eating out is dangerous.”
Nancy wanted to sit down in the middle of the yard and cry loudly. He was sticking to her like glue, what could she do? If she abandoned him, she would feel sorry for him, but if she cared for him, he would not give up on her. At noon, seeing him eating white rice made her heartache.
“Go inside.” She said as she opened the gate.
Dylan was overjoyed. While she was locking the gate, he slipped into the house and looked around. He saw that the cozy space was simply decorated but extremely elegant like the nature of the woman he loved.
Nancy took out a bunch of vegetables and asked Dylan to pick them, while she washed the rice to cook rice and fried meat. He was the president of a large corporation but he looked like a starving, skinny person.
“Why are you so skinny? Are you sick?” She frowned and asked.
“Yes, I'm lovesick. I miss you.”
Hearing his answer, Nancy raised her head to look. The deep gaze that contained his boundless, sincere love for her was still intact. The bridge of her nose felt a little spicy, she quickly bent down and grumbled.
“Aren't you dating Diana?”
“Don't believe what the newspapers write. If that's true, she probably came here already. Actually, I have something to tell you, about the past, I know...”
“Eat quickly and go home.” She interrupted him.
Dylan sighed, looking at her sadly. If she didn't want to listen, how could he say anything? Okay, he would wait a few more days. At least, he knew she wouldn't let any man take root in front of her house.
After dinner, even though Nancy kept chasing him away, he still lingered, saying that his room didn't have a TV and asked to watch the news for a bit. She knew that was just an excuse, his fancy, high-end, smooth phone was more than enough to surf the internet.
The TV turned on just as the provincial traffic safety news was being broadcast. Both of them were wide-eyed when they saw themselves on the screen.
The traffic camera filmed the whole scene of Dylan moving back and forth in the race group, looking very professional. Next is the scene where both people are arrested in an alley.
Nancy was extremely worried, if her identity as a writer was exposed later, it would be a stain on her life, no joke, the nitpickers would find out everything.
Glancing at Dylan, she saw that he was the complete opposite of her, he was watching and laughing, it seemed like he was very happy.
At ten o'clock at night, Dylan still refused to return to his rented room, making an excuse that he hadn't had time to shop so the room was empty, there was nothing to sleep in, and asked to stay.
But unfortunately for him, Nancy had a whole new set of blankets and pillows in reserve, so she piled them all on him and pushed him out the gate.
