Chapter 126: She's Worried Because She Loves Him
At exactly six thirty in the morning, Nancy quickly changed her clothes and took her bike out of the gate. The bike had only gone a short distance when she suddenly felt light, or rather, empty. The bike just stood still, not moving.
On the opposite side, through the car window, seeing the beauty struggling, Dylan quickly jumped down, crossed the street, and ran to her side.
“The bike sprocket is loose. Open the gate so I can bring it inside and I'll take you to work. I'll fix it for you this afternoon.” Dylan said while turning the pedals.
Nancy obediently did as Dylan said and followed him to the car. Just as she was about to open the back door, he suddenly grabbed her and pulled her into the seat next to the driver's seat, fastening her seat belt.
His flawlessly handsome face was so close that she could feel his breath on her. However, this was not the familiar scent she knew.
She was nervous, holding her breath, trying to make her body deflate. She was afraid that if she took a breath, some part of her body would swell up and touch him.
She didn't know what he was doing, but after nearly a minute, he didn't even fasten her seat belt, making her suffocate to the point that her face turned purple.
“Are you not breathing?” He asked softly.
“Huh? Oh, no.” She replied shyly.
Dylan smiled, looked down, and finished fastening Nancy's seat belt. When he was done, he ran to the driver's seat, got in, and drove straight to the company.
Nancy took the opportunity to regain the oxygen she was lacking. Because he kept his eyes on her face, the seat belt kept slipping back and forth, making it take so long.
When the workers saw Nancy and the new worker getting out of the expensive supercar, they stood still and were shocked. At first, they thought it belonged to Cara because Dylan came to work early and left late yesterday, so no one saw him get in or out of the car.
“How many years do I have to work to buy that car?” A male worker spoke up.
“By the time you get into the coffin, you still won't be able to buy the wheel.” The female worker standing next to him replied.
People started gossiping about Nancy. They said that this girl was very cunning, this man came to the factory in the morning and by the afternoon he was already enchanted by her.
They also said that both Dylan and Nancy are playboys so they get along well, yesterday they even went racing together and were on the news of the province.
Fortunately, no one realized that Dylan was the president of Global Group, partly because they never thought that a person like him would sneak into this small company, partly because his photo in the press had been edited. In those pictures, he had a nice body, and a radiant aura, and was cold, not skinny and not carrying that clumsy look and not following women like this.
The man who looked like a primitive man was so angry that his neck shrank. He pursued Nancy from the days when he was driving a motorbike until he was riding a scooter, but she never let him pick her up. But now when she saw that the new worker had a luxury car, she climbed in after only one day of knowing him.
The man was angry at her one and angry at Dylan ten, secretly telling himself to find a way to get revenge on Dylan to vent his anger.
At exactly seven-thirty, all the workers returned to their positions and started working.
When Dylan finished cutting two bundles of leather, it was almost lunchtime. He took the opportunity to go around to the back of the machine and use scissors to remove the plastic layer covering the new bundle of leather to finish matching the unfinished shoes.
Nancy was sitting in front of the machine. When she heard him calling, she quickly ran over. Seeing blood dripping from his finger onto the tiled floor, she panicked and shouted.
“Oh my gosh, what kind of cut did you make? Hurry, I'll take you to the medical room.”
“I'm fine, it's just a small wound, don't make a fuss. Get me some band-aids.”
“Please wait a moment.”
After finishing speaking, Nancy rushed away as quickly as possible.
A worker who looked like a primitive person carrying a bundle of leather for the machine next to Dylan passed by. Seeing him, he pouted and mumbled.
“A rich man cuts his hand like a beggar spills his guts.”
The lunch bell rang at the same time as the phone ringing. After finishing the call and still not seeing Nancy return, Dylan had to ask the girl at the machine next to him to tell Nancy that he had to go out for work, and would not be eating at the company, then hurriedly ran to the parking lot to get the car.
The car slowly moved away from the main gate and stopped on the side of the road. From afar, seeing Dylan getting out of the car, Nancy hurriedly tried to approach but her feet suddenly stopped, the smile on her lips suddenly disappeared halfway when she saw that the girl getting into his car was Diana.
The stack of band-aids in Nancy's hand fell to the sidewalk, and she slowly walked back into the factory.
Just now she went to the medical room, but because they ran out of band-aids, she asked permission to go to the gate to buy some for him. She didn't expect that when she returned, he was with another girl.
Finally, Diana came to find him. If he already had a new love, why did he still try to hold her back? She had already decided that she wouldn't be on the same path as him, but why did she feel so hurt when she saw him with Diana?
She was so sad that she didn't want to eat or drink. She went straight into the factory and sat with her head on the table. It wasn't until the bell rang to signal the afternoon work hour that she raised her head. At this time, Dylan had just returned. Seeing his lover's dull face, he worriedly asked.
“Nancy, are you not feeling well? Where do you hurt? Your face...”
“I'm fine, let's get to work.”
Hearing Nancy say that, Dylan nodded slightly and continued working, his eyes filled with sadness. When he had cut his hand, she was still worried and caring for him, but now she suddenly became cold towards him.
He had just put the pieces of leather on the table when he heard Nancy's curt voice.
“Different color.”
“Different color? Which piece?” Dylan quickly looked down and asked.
“All of them.”
“Yes, let me change them.”
As soon as he finished speaking, he quickly turned to the machine, strained his eyes, and carefully compared the colors. However, for every pair he put down, she said the color was not the same, forcing him to change them continuously. He chopped several pieces of leather but couldn't use them.
From afar, seeing the chairman turning back and forth like a puppet, Cara ran over to take a look. After arranging the leather pieces, she opened her eyes wide to look at Nancy.
“I saw that they were the same color. Because it's cowhide, the color is only slightly similar, it can't be completely the same. My skin had some black and some white, let alone cowhide.”
“Maybe it's because of the bright light, I also see differently.” Dylan spoke up to defend Nancy.
“Just put the number stamps on them, I'll take responsibility for anything.” Cara said softly.
“Yes, ma'am.” Nancy bowed her head and replied softly.
Cara winked, smiled at Dylan, and then leisurely walked on. He quickly gathered the odd pieces of shoe leather to combine them into a pair.
The heavy atmosphere lasted until after four o'clock in the afternoon. Only when he had finished cutting all the bundles of leather and heard Nancy say that there were still five pairs of shoes missing did he timidly open his mouth.
“I'm out of leather, where can I get more materials?”
“This order has enough materials. Let me go to the sample room to ask for more.”
She lightly brushed off the leather scraps on her hands and stood up, walking straight towards the sample room. Previous orders had excess materials, but this order is short of materials.
She knew that because she had returned the goods haphazardly earlier, he was confused, and had cut them haphazardly, causing a shortage of leather. Although each piece of leather is the same blue, there are dark and light places, very different.
Waiting for Nancy to disappear, the primitive-looking worker quickly rushed to Dylan's side, asking him to help him carry the bundles of leather. Dylan happily nodded and followed him.
Dylan was about to carry the second bundle of leather when Nancy appeared. Seeing the man loading the huge bundle of leather onto Dylan's shoulder, she shouted, threw the piece of leather in her hand, rushed forward, and pulled him out, causing the man to lose his balance, and fall onto the tiled floor with the bundle of cowhide.
“Why did you force him to carry that bundle of cowhides? He's a chopper, he just works on the machine.” She shouted.
“Because I saw he was idle so I asked him to help me a little. Why are you so fierce?” The man replied while looking at Dylan.
“Yes, I was waiting for you, so I helped him a little.”
“Why do you have to help him? You do whatever someone tells you to do, right? Are you crazy?”Download Novelah App
