Luna's POV
"Awww!" a soft grunt escaped my lips as my thigh slammed on the corner of the shelf while I was carrying a box for display on the store.
I put the box down and sat on the ground as I massaged the part that was hurting. The stinging pain a little unbearable.
"Stupid, Luna." I whispered to myself and my eyes turned on the direction of the door once I heard it opening, signaling that someone just came in.
"Jiro!" I smiled as I saw my cousin came in.
A frown showed on his beautiful face when he saw what I was doing.
"What are you doing, Luna?" he pulled me up from the ground and studied me a little worried.
I chuckled at how adorable he looked. "I'm okay, stupid."
He pouted at my response. "If Devon isn't taking care of you enough, break up with him before I hit his face really hard." his face stern my eyebrows raised at his tone.
He lifted his hands and cupped my face. I had to look down so he won't notice my swollen eyes.
I had been crying last night. I was trying to call and message Devon but he wasn't responding.
The thought of him being busy crossed my mind but my heart hurts a little. Can't he at least send one message to me and inform me whatever the fuck he's doing so I won't be worried?
However, just hearing Devon's name made my heart flutter and sad at the same time.
It has been two days since they went to their company and I haven't seen him since then. Perhaps, he's busy or he's having a little time for himself.
I knew he has a lot to think about and I don't think I need to be there all the time with him. There are things that he needs to resolve on his own and my presence can somehow be a distraction to him.
"He's taking care of me, okay. He's just a little busy and a lot of things may be going through his head." I muttered, lying to his face.
To be honest, I feel like Devon was hiding something from me but I don't really want to assume things.
"Don't even lie to my face, young lady." He told me as he pulled me by the hand and pushed me to sit down on one of the chairs on the corner where customers normally eat.
"Your eyes are swollen. I'm not blind Luna. Now tell me, did you two fight? I and the rest noticed that you two haven't seen nor talked to each other since three or two days ago and it's making us anxious."
I scratched the back of my head with my right hand while my left index finger pushed the tip of my eyeglasses back so I can see him clearly.
How do I tell him that I don't know what the problem is as well?
I have tried thinking last night if I had said or did anything that might offend him or make him angry but I'm not remembering any. I even tried to call his phone but he's not responding.
My insides felt a little weird for a moment as some weird thoughts came across my mind.
I looked at my cousin and tried to show a smile on my face even though my mind is going crazy inside. "We're good. We are messaging each other every now and then," Again, I lied.
My stomach feels like churning. I guess I can't lie well especially with my cousin.
"Tsssk." he smirked. "We can see his phone buzzing and he never once answered any message. Unless he's sending you one when he's in the bathroom," he added and my heart leaps a bit, not in excitement but something tugged my heart inside.
So he was intentionally ignoring my calls and messages? What did I do wrong?
Just thinking about him avoiding me feels like a needle was being pinned on my chest.
"We are okay, Jiro." I insisted. With that, I stood up from my seat and continued what I was supposed to do before he came.
I heard him sigh from afar but I didn't dare to look at him because I'm feeling a little nervous. It's as if he'll see through me if I continue looking at him.
"If you say so, I'll be going back to the office. The boys are there for practice. You know, it has been long since we were in a studio and we have a lot of catching up to do. And Dev...." he stopped and I am dreading to hear what he's supposed to say next but I can't ask him because he'll be able to confirm that we haven't been talking.
"He went to his therapy. he had been doing so these past two days. I don't know why I need to tell this to you because you said you two were talking but I feel like I needed to." he stated.
I flinched when I heard him hit the table beside him but again, I didn't move.
Jiro can be scary when he's angry.
"Luna... You know you can tell me if something is wrong, okay?" his voice was so soft that I had to refuse the urge and hug him and tell him that something is wrong.
My body started shaking as I feel my emotions starting to stir within me.
"I know." I had to control myself so my voice won't shake. "I'm fine so don't worry too much. And please don't be mad at Devon. He got a lot on his shoulders with this comeback and his therapy. I don't want him to feel burden about anything."
I quickly out the last item to the shelf and stood up.
I closed my eyes and shouted fighting internally before I turned around and smile at him.
I nudged his shoulders and pouted. "Smile Jiro. I know that you got my back that's why I'm not worried. Plus, Dev would never hurt me." I stated.
