|DOC 12: PEACE IN CHAOS|
|AQUA LAVERDA|
I'm already ready to sleep yet I seem not to get to sleep early as I thought.
I heave a deep breath and walk towards the veranda of my room, carrying my handkerchief that I've lost not too long ago.
I savor the cold air that's passing through my skin as the moonlight strikes me. It's so serene that my thoughts are ruining the vibes of it. I mean, I want to feel at peace and not think that much because things are already messed up for me.
I can't even take a break from thinking about a lot of things.
"Why does it have to be her?" I ask myself and look at the entrance gate of the Dorm.
The only light in there is from the streetlight, following the path towards the school.
I squint my eyes when I notice that something is moving around the bushes, near the gate. I immediately hide and blend in with the darkness when the person looks in my direction.
I don't know if he or she can feel my gaze that's why he or she looks in here but that's not the case anymore.
Who is that person?
"A white converse?" I ask myself when I catch a glimpse of her shoes when she walks past by the streetlight.
All I know is that she's wearing a white converse and her shoelaces are pink, or I don't know. It's hard to see from my direction.
Why does that girl need to sneak out in the middle of the night?
"Bless me, oh gosh~,"
I mutter within myself as I get my black hoodie in my closet and a mask. I didn't notice that I carried with me the handkerchief I was holding earlier.
I didn't waste any time and just grab my gray furry slippers and go out of my room.
While walking down the stairs, I hardly tiptoe not to cause any noise. When I reach the door, I desperately release a deep breath from my mouth.
I don't what I'm doing with myself.
"Come on, where is she?" I ask when I reach the entrance gate.
I walk in silence as I try to look for the girl earlier. She totally vanished from my sight.
"I better go back, right?" I ask myself when the wind blows to my whole body, together with the dried leaves on the ground.
That sounds, creepy!
I shake my head and stare at the huge gate of the school in front of me.
"She did not enter the school, is she?" I continue to ask myself because who else though?
Of course, I'm only with myself.
I observe and look around me. It really feels creepy because it's really dark around me. I just notice.
I abruptly look to my left when I heard the sound of the twigs being stepped on. I seem like in a horror movie and it doesn't feel right. I tell you.
Try going out in the middle of the night without anyone with you and you can hear the silent chirp of unknown birds around you, twigs being stepped on, and leaves being blown by the wind. Can't you feel creepy?
Because I am!
"Damn Aqua. You got this yourself, so don't blame anyone tomorrow," I exclaim as I continue to take the path where the sound is.
I didn't know we're being surrounded by trees. I mean, I didn't get any chance to go out of the school that often and I didn't have the chance to roam around the school.
So, looking around all I can see is big trees and tall grasses up until the kid of my thigh.
"I feel itchy," I blurt out as I reach for my foot to ease the itchiness but I didn't expect that there's a hole right in front of me.
So, when I accidentally slip because the grasses are a bit wet causing it to be slippery, all I can do is let out a scream.
"Ahh! Sheet of paper!"
It happens so fast that it's too blurry for me to tell what happened.
A strong arm envelopes my waist, slightly hugging me from the back as another arm drape over my upper chest and pulls me with force causing me to avoid falling into the hole.
The force is too strong that we roll over the ground. I can only feel a hand protecting the back of my head as an arm tightly hugging my waist.
I can't count how we rolled over but I can already feel my heavy breathing as well as the person on top of me.
My heart's pounding loudly for some reason and I bet, I know who saved me again from danger.
Always.
"Alas...," I breathe his name.
Von freaking Alastair is on top of me again. Oh, my ghad!
Can I breathe?! Kidding.
"Come on. Are you okay?"
I want to roll my eyes at him because he doesn't even let me look at his gorgeous face for minutes. I mean, a second is not enough!
I secretly pout my lips. I'll just smack the back of my head once I'm inside my room. Right now, just let me act childish. Kidding.
"I'm fine. Are you?" I check on his body with pure intention, of course.
But he shakes his head and holds my shoulders and makes me look at him.
"I'm fine," my left eyebrow lifts when I notice how his nose scrunches slightly, but he says he's fine though.
"What are you doing here, alone?" He asks while looking around.
I tilt my head as a question pops up in my head.
Does the place look more interesting than mine?
My eyes widen a bit and before he can look at me, I change to my normal expression. Calm and poise.
I clear the lump in my throat and sigh.
"I just got curious where the cat went to," that's the only lame excuse that I can think of.
"Really." He's not asking but he sarcastically says that.
I bit my lower lip as I scratch the back of my head.
"Uhm, well...," I can't think of anything so, I just stop and didn't say anything.
I can't even look at his eyes even if I want to.
I hear him let out a sigh as he turns my body and guides me to walk back to the Dorm building.
"It's late, let's go," instead of feeling down, I feel like I'm in clouds.
That girl escapes from my eyes but at least, I get to see Von Alas before I sleep tonight.
That causes me to form a sweet smile on my lips.
It feels great.
I didn't complain when his left hand remained on my left shoulder, looking like he was draping his arms over my shoulder. It looks sweet though. I love it.
"How did you find me?" I ask him while we're walking side by side.
The moonlight and the trees witness how close we are right now and I plan to save it for my memories forever.
"I followed you,"
"Hmm,"
I curtly nod my head as we continue to walk. I get contented that we're together right now that's why I didn't probe anything from him anymore. If he says he followed me, then he is.
No need to as for more.
"Thank you," I sweetly smile as I face him when we reach Ace's Dorm.
Through the light from the streetlight beside the gate of our dorm, I can see what he's wearing.
He's on his black hoodie too.
That reminds me of how I get to love wearing black hoodies too. I just love everything about him.
"Next time, be careful...," my smile grows wider, and nod my head thrice.
"Okay!" I bet my eyes are smiling because of the sight of him.
He's really gorgeous. I have enough time to stare at his intense blue-green pair of eyes. It warms my cold night after a tiring day.
He's just my peace in chaos.
"Then, I'll go?" I point the door behind me, still facing him.
"Hmm," I smile and take a step back.
"Take care," when I saw him nod his head, I turn my back and walk inside our dorm.
I secretly take a peek at him but when I see him still looking at me, I feel like my blood flows up until my cheeks. I feel its heat. Instead of feeling shy, I let out a chuckle as I totally close the door and go inside our dorm.
I didn't bother looking back because I might be tempted to talk to him instead of going to sleep. I slightly hop as I walk towards my room. Before going to bed, I slowly walk towards my veranda and hide behind my curtain and look for Von Alas outside.
A content smile plastered my lips when I saw him walking back toward the entrance gate.
Maybe he'll check around the dorm first before going to their dorm.
That night, I slept in peace. Not rest in peace, kidding.
I wake up feeling light. It's as if it's just a second ago when I met Von Alas last night.
