DOC 15: SUFFER
AQUA LAVERDA
We're walking down the corridor back to my office.
After the talk in the cafeteria, we all continue our lunch that I haven't really enjoyed doing so, and now, I'm hungry as hell.
"You have the time to swallow everything up Aqua," I sigh when Morri starts it again with her sarcastic remarks.
"That's too much!" I complain like some kid on the streets when being bullied by other mean kids.
"Says by the one who's hungry on the run," she says while shaking her head.
I roll my eyes and pull off my arms from hers.
"Whatever Morri," I snort as I walk past her and leave her in the middle of the corridor.
The conference drains me that even though I think I ate that much, I still feel hungry.
Students are now back to their businesses. Some go back to their rooms to clean and prepare for their booth's decor. While some are too serious with the preparation that they managed to do their booths fast and well.
I'm craving chocolates!
My stomach churns as if it reads my mind. I sigh as I feel my hunger.
"Choco! Choco! Choco!" I chanted as I walk to my office.
Waist swaying while walking and saying those words. Acting like a kid. Again. There's nothing wrong with it! I'm all alone and no one can see me like this.
So, it's okay...
I told you it's not okay.
"Having fun?" The voice of Von Alas registers in my head.
I go to an abrupt stop because of that. Why does he always witness my embarrassing moments? Knowing him, he finds me his biggest entertainment!
"Tsk. Aren't you busy?" I ask him as we continue with our walk.
I didn't dwell on my embarrassment just now and focused on what is happening right now.
Von Alas, talking with me. That's the most important thing here. Nothing else but him.
Cringe you say. I say I don't freaking care. Kiddin'.
"I am," I look at him as we turn left. My office is already meters away from us.
"Then why are you here?" I softly ask as I put my hands on my back and play with my fingers.
I look at him, head tilting sideways while he's looking straight ahead of us. I purse my lips when his side view is the only thing that I can see from my position.
Well, his side view is still breathtaking. No matter what view his face is sporting, he will always looks this good. Because he is that person.
He's Von Alastair freaking Morozov. It's who my heart beats on, betraying my own body.
"Let's go to your office," I smile while shaking my head.
Maybe he just wants to take me to my office to ensure my safety. Sweet.
I'm free to dream that high, right?
Yea, just dream high people! Haha.
"You're going after?" I trail off as we stop in front of my office door.
"Yea. Here you go,"
I haven't had any chance to say something when he had already turned his back on me and started walking the same corridor we walked to.
A smile crept up on my lips as I watch him leave.
"Thank you, Von Alas...,"
There's nothing wrong in turning your back on someone if it's all because of your own sake. But if it's all because that someone doesn't want to inflict more pain on you, just let them leave.
Make it your inspiration to be better and to heal in the process.
Not all people who leave have a pure intention to hurt someone. They always have reasons that they can't disclose for they'll be inflicting more pain or, they'll leave because they let go.
They need a lot of courage to do that. You know right? It's hard.
Really hard.
"Chocolates!"
I jump in delight as I enter my office when I see what he gives me. A paper bag full of chocolates!
He may be got it after their mission.
Oh, how sweet.

THIRD PERSON'S POV
"Hi!"
You can say it's a cheerful tone yet the feeling of it is too different from what the woman feels like when someone greets her.
The woman has short hair.
She looks at that someone while her heart starts to beat faster than usual. It's like she's inside a horror movie that she's so scared of the person who's in front of her.
"Why are you here?" The woman asks. Starting to feel scared. Creeps crawl into her skin as the hair at the back of her nape feels threatened.
"Why? Can't I be here?" The girl laughs like a lunatic who escaped from a mental institute.
The girl simply cast away the tears under her eyes because of laughing too much.
"Oh dear," she exhales. She shakes her head as she suddenly looks straight into the woman's frightened eyes.
Her eyes change from being playful to damn cold blank eyes.
"You know what? I pity you," the girl walks near the woman who's obviously shaking.
She puts her right hand on the woman's right shoulder as she walks around her.
"Why?" She adds while the woman can't even hold the person's intense stare.
She then stops behind her. Hands-on both of the woman's shoulders as her head go near the back of her ears.
"Your too desperate for something you can't even hold on with," she whispers, like those whispers of the devils.
"That you didn't notice, you're already on the edge of being caught. Ah...," she trails off.
"No, you're already caught," she laughs under her breath as she stays away from the woman when she feels like, she is already out on her limit.
"You don't know anything...," the woman whispers back.
She just laughs sarcastically as she gazes at the place they are in.
At the back of the school.
"I know everything~," she sing sang as she kicks every stone in her way. Walking around the place.
While the woman just watches her.
"I know why you 'did' that. Even from the past-- years," she cuts off as if she's emphasizing something.
The woman's face pales up. It's as if she's an open book and the person reads all of her pages. Nothing left. She reads all of her. From dots to question marks, to exclamation points, and dashes. Everything.
"No, you're just trying to trap me!"
The woman finally explodes. Just like what she wants her to. To slowly peels off her skin to show the real her.
"No dear~ Because if you didn't do something, there's no reason for me to trap you. Am I right?"
It's like the woman's tongue gets tied with poisonous threads, it bleeds.
She hits the main button.
"Of course I am," she answers her own questions. Sarcasm is all over her voice while staring at the woman in front of her.
"Aren't you at fault too?" The woman suddenly asks in the middle of their silence.
From looking at the moon above, the girl furrows her brows and looks at the woman.
"Hm? Am I?" She innocently asks, starting to act accordingly.
"Yes! I heard you talking to someone to cause chaos in the field!" She bursts out.
She really looks like she's looking for something to get back to the girl in front who made her feel weak.
That's what she hates the most. To appear weak. To be called weak. Because she is not. And this person just easily made her feel like one. How she hates people like her.
"I did. There, I confessed. When will you?"
The woman can't find her voice after hearing the words that come out from the person she's talking to. She's good at words. On how she carries herself, she doesn't know what she's been to in her past to make her like this.
"I-, I d-don't have anything to confess!"
"My gosh! You're guilty!" It looks like the girl is just making fun of her.
"I am not!"
"Shut up, Laviente!"
Her world seems to stop when the person in front of her explodes. It's like she's already done with the woman's denies and lies.
"You shut up and stop me from your lies! You killed them, remember? So, stop acting like you've done nothing because you are evil. You're not a saint, Laviente. Curse you for a lifetime!"
She is breathing hard after her outburst.
The woman can't help but cry. In fright, in pain, in guilt, she doesn't know anymore.
"You're seeing this, right?"
After a while, the girl whispers and lifts a picture.
"W-What...," the woman feels like she's been buried alive for how many times she can't even count.
When it registers in her mind whom the person is in the picture from the girl's hand, she knows she's done.
Freaking done.
"What are y-you going to do?"
She can't even recognize which her body parts are shaking. Her voice? Her body? Her head? She doesn't know.
"You pick? Kill or tell? Hm, that's quite easy. Right, Laviente?"
"You're cruel," she can't help but say out of things that she can't.
"Oh, I know that too well! But for something like this? You're crueler than you think, Laviente. So, don't try putting the line on me, you get that?"
The girl then starts ruining the picture she's holding and piercing it to pieces. In front of the woman.
Watching how each piece falls one by one.
"Because no matter what you say about me, you're still the one to blame. You're still the one who needs to suffer. Not your friends. Not your family. But you Laviente,"
She cries with each word coming from the girl's sharp mouth. She cries for the time she saw how her friends and family grieved because of something she did.
If you ask her if she regrets doing it?
No. She didn't regret doing it.
"You don't have a heart, Laviente. Why are you still alive?" The tough and cruel girl earlier vanishes.
She's back being the weak girl that she was before everything was ruined.
The girl who just wishes for a good life with her family and friends. Yet, it has to end like that.
"Yea. Why?"
The girl clenches her jaw and grits her teeth because of what she heard from the woman.
"Because...," the girl trails off before walking near her and stopping right in front of her.
Crouching down, she whispers behind her right ear.
"You. Are. Bound. To. Suffer, Laviente,"
