|DOC 16: A NOTE|
|Note: Hi! I've noticed some errors while I'm re-reading the previous chapters and I just wanna say I'm sorry for that. I don't have any reason to justify my negligence for some errors and misinformation if ever you also noticed. I have shuffled names and didn't proofread my chapters before publishing so I hope you all understand.
Some clarifications; I have typed Sorcha's name wrong. Her name is SORCHA RAI GIACCONI, not Sorcha Gale. Another one was about Clove's cousin which was Queen Aqui. I've read something and instead of 'cousin from her father's side, it was supposedly her mother's side. Lastly, the Cloves name. ARIVONA CLOVE LASCOVA is the 'Clove' in the past and CLOVER ARI CROSS is the 'Clove' in the present time. It was from the clinic scene where Ms. Vera and the two Jacks went inside and called Clove's last name which was I put Lascova instead of Cross. I also misspelled Aqua's surname, LAVERDA TO 'LARVEDA' from chapter 1. Hehe.
I hope it's all clear now. If any of you have some questions that I can answer, just comment down here in this paragraph. THANK YOU AND SORRY FOR THE CONFUSION.
ENJOY READING!

|AQUA LAVERDA|
It was a wonderful morning when Morri had to ruin it for me.
"What again Morri?!" I exclaim while thumping my foot as I walk inside my office.
I just have to find my silver chain bracelet that my Mom gave me last Christmas Eve. Oh, remembering it now, December is coming. I can't wait to shop for gifts for my loved ones.
"This is a serious case Aqua," I immediately look at her while I go through the things on my table.
I think I left it here yesterday. It's very important to me.
"How serious?" I ask while trying to look at every part of my table because I have a habit of just leaving my things either in a box, on my table, in the drawer, etc. Now, I regret doing so. I can't find it!
"Very. It's about the case yesterday. Someone left this note inside my locker," hearing what Morri says, I abruptly look at her, down to the piece of paper she puts on top of my table.
"Really?" I ask her.
Suddenly feels like the paper is some kind of bomb that if I ever touch it wrong, it'll explode and cause our lives.
"Yes. I don't have the means to read it but it has a note in front. That's how I know it's all about what we talked about yesterday with the others," I take a seat on my swivel chair and push it forward so that I can lean on my table properly.
Morri stays standing in front of me.
I'm just looking at the paper, hesitating whether to read it or just throw it away.
"Who else knows about this one?" I ask her, totally forgetting my silver chain bracelet.
"Just the two of us," I nod my head and look at her.
Eyes communicate without the need to talk out loud.
"Does that mean, 'that' someone finally decided to confess?" Probing, I look at the paper again.
If that's the case, did Loco do his job right?
"I don't know. Maybe, we can't tell Aqua," I bit my lower lip as I lean my back on my chair.
"Why don't you just read it?" I push the paper towards her.
Why does she even need to give it to me? How can I help with that?
"Why don't you just read it, Aqua?"
I roll my eyes and stare at it again. I can feel my heart starting to beats faster than ever.
I mean, why do I feel nervous?!
"If it's just a prank, I tell you Morri. I'll really push you off from the rooftop," I warn her before reading what's on the paper.
"G Lav. What?" Confused, I turn to Morri.
"That's the name of the person who left that note," she informs me as she takes her seat in one of the chairs in front of my office table.
"Do you perhaps, have clues from it? I mean, do you know who is this?"
When she shakes her head, I release a deep breath and with shaking hands, I open the paper.
"What if it's a trap?" I ask and let go of the paper before I can even open it.
"Tsk. Coward," rolling her eyes, I look at her in disbelief.
I really can't with her.
I cross my arms over my chest and watch her get the paper. She reads it out loud.
"DOC. Rooftop. 08 PM. That's it," my brows furrow together, and snatch the paper from her.
'DOC. ROOFTOP. 08 PM.'
"What does it mean? We'll meet that person on the rooftop? Tonight?!"
Sudden realization hits me. Eight PM later. Lesser time to prepare for what will happen later.
Why do I feel bad about this?
"Do we need to inform the others?" I look at Morri who asks that.
If ever we will go together, that person might just feel pressured and plan to escape. So, no.
"Just a few of them to make sure that person doesn't have reason to escape. Pressuring someone to confess to their crimes might just trigger them and plan to escape. We need to plan it thoroughly. Gather them all at the Main Library,"
I have to talk with Ms. Vera about this.
"Tell them not to make it suspicious that we will talk about our plan. And! Ask them to get their gadgets. I'll talk with Ms. Vera. You know what to do, Morri. I trust you," I get up and tap her left shoulder and sport a smile on my lips.
"You can count on me, Aqua. Go," I curtly nod at her and make my way out of my office.
I heave a sigh before I continue walking my way to my destination.
HeadMistress Office.
Dang! I'm really getting nervous about it.
"Hi, Ms. Rose!" I greet the secretary but she seems quite busy to greet me back and just gives me a nod.
"Just go Ms president," I smile at her before proceeding to do my business here.
I knock three times before opening the door gently.
Just as I'm about to set my foot inside her office when I heard a certain word from Ms. Vera. I bet she's talking with someone over the phone that she didn't notice I was at her office door.
"The La Cardes?!"
La Carde? Isn't that the owner of the school?
I've only heard about that family being the owner but in the years that I've spent in this school, I have never seen them. I don't know if they're just so private that they didn't even attend anniversaries and some important events of the school.
Even so, why does Ms. Vera seems to be shocked by the said name?
"Ms. Vera?" I try calling her attention when she's done talking with the other person on the line.
"Oh, Ms. President!"
I don't know if it's just me or my imagination but she looks at me as if I'm a ghost of her past.
"Yes, Ms. Vera. I'm sorry to interrupt you but may I come in?" I ask while sporting my gentle smile as I look at her.
She fixes herself and clears her throat as if she's done composing herself.
"You may take a seat, Ms. President. What is it that you seem too serious right now," she arcs her eyebrows and leans forward. elbows on top of her table.
She looks at me with a serious expression on her face.
I unconsciously crease my forehead when her stare suddenly feels uncomfortable. It's as if she's trying to read my soul and all.
I mean, I can feel it when a person is trying to read me as if I am hiding something. Or if they are suspicious of me.
With that thought in mind, I let out a sweet smile on my lips.
"It's about Clove's investigation, Ms. Vera...," when I mention Clove's name, the tension between us disappears.
It seems like her senses came back to her all of a sudden.
"I have been informed about you, the DOC is trying to investigate what happened. What did you find out?" She asks while I continue to play with my fingers on my lap.
I look at the glass wall in front of me as I was seated on the sofa.
"Can I ask a request, Ms. Vera?" I ask while my mind tries to analyze things.
"Yes, Ms. President," I curtly nod and look at her, straight into her eyes.
"Hm, I want you to cancel all night shift classes today. Is that possible?"
"Why? Is there something wrong?" She asks while I shake my head.
"It's nothing Ms. HeadMistress. I just want all students to be in their dorms tonight. We're trying our best to minimize the casualties if ever something happens tonight. I also want you safe, Ms. HeadMistress,"
After a long while, she nods her head in agreement.
"Okay, Ms. President. I'll tell Rose to make an announcement later. Keep safe, Ms. President. I trust you with this one, okay?"
I smile at her, assuring her that nothing will happen later.
"Thank you, Ms. Vera. I'll try not to disappoint you. I'll go then, Ms. Vera,"
I get up from my seat while she leans on her swivel chair and smiles at me.
"Sure thing! You may go," I curtly nod my head in front of her then I walk my way out of her office.
"I'll go, Ms. Rose!"
"Take care, Ms. President!"
While walking through the corridor of the main building, I dial Morri's number.
"What's up?" Morri greets me upon answering my call.
I put my right hand in my pocket as I use my left hand to carry my phone over my left ear.
"It's done. Are they already there?" I ask and watch the leaves dance with the wind from the trees on the side while passing by the hallways towards my destination.
"Yea. They're waiting. Where are you?" Morri asks as I sigh and watch how my feet take a step alternately.
"I'm on my way. I'll hang up?'
"Okay,"
I ended the call and stop in the middle of the hallway.
I look up at the sky, slightly squinting my eyes because of the brightness coming from the sun.
It's such a nice day but I can already feel the tension growing inside me. How will things turn out after we meet with the person on the rooftop?
It only means one thing.
This day will never end with peace.
