DOC 20: DON'T DIE

AQUA LAVERDA
"Morri...,"
I call her name. I fit myself in one of the branches of the tree I'm standing on while looking at her, trying to control her temper.
Changed plans.
We all went to the DOC rooftop only to be disappointed because she was not there. But she left a note.
Saying, 'Meet me at the field'.
Right now, I'm hiding my presence in one of the trees around the field. Senses in full alert if something happens.
The others are also hiding. Tiana and Aqui are with Morri but they're just a bit far distance from Morri as she told them to. That's why I'm calling her name to make her listen to me but it seems like she's already eaten by her rage.
Haven and Gunreigh are also hiding in a tree-like what I did. The difference is that they're hiding behind it. I, on the other hand, am hiding behind the thick leaves of the tree, standing in one of its branches.
I don't know if Naraka knows we're surrounding them but I don't care anymore.
"Morri, remember what I told you okay? Don't rush her, it will trigger her to escape," I remind her through the earpiece I am using as a piercing.
We all have one. I have two though. It's for Von Alas with the other one.
"Don't overreact, Aqua. I'm not planning to kill her," my eyes widen with her choice of words.
I can't help but look at her, shocked. I mean, I can't help it. Even before, is she's talking about killing kinds of stuff, it shocks me every time.
I'm not used to her being like this.
"Just please...,"
I sigh when she doesn't talk anymore.
I just hope, everything will turn out fine.

THIRD PERSON'S POV
The night is chilling.
It's as if there's a storm expected to happen anytime.
The wind seems to blow differently. It's unusually cold and tense. The atmosphere of the whole place feels suffocating that you can't breathe properly.
The field is only a meter distance from the DOC building. In which, a woman who has short hair with violet highlights on it has been hiding at the top of the building. Readying her sniper once things get out of hand.
Squinting her eyes, she watched how Morri and the others dealt with Naraka in the middle.
Unfair as it seems, they don't care.
"Now talk, Naraka. Your time is running," Morri, with her hands clenching, sports a blank look while looking straight into Naraka's eyes.
"Why would I?"
Her voice which seems to be sweet and innocent before was changed to the voice of someone from the grave. It's dark, emotionless even.
Her remarks cause Morri to swallow the lump in her throat as she controls herself not to burst like a bubble with one touch of a trigger. Aqua, on the other hand, presses her lips together so as not to tip Naraka off of her hiding place.
"I thought you knew what I did already. Didn't Aqua give me off like a bomb?"
Sarcasm is all over her voice. You can't even see emotions in her eyes, nor feel them with her tone. It seems like she has no plans of confirming their accusation. If you can call it one.
"You know what? Why did you even call us here? To what? To show off what you did? You're proud of that? Huh!" Morri, as much as she wants to control her temper, she can't.
The words she heard from Naraka made it her key to open the door of the raging fire inside her.
"You definitely suit to rot in hell, if that's the case," clenching her fists, she looks at Naraka sharply.
The whole place becomes silent. Dangerously silent that you would die with a wrong move when a laugh breaks it.
Aqua doesn't have a choice but to tear up because of what she's seeing and hearing right now. In her mind, she's asking how cruel can Naraka be that she's just laughing her ass off as if she did not do anything more than sinner than a sin. Her poor friend's image flashed into her eyes causing her to finally break into tears.
'Are you watching, Arivona Clove?' She asks in her mind.
The blows of the wind feel eerie. It feels dark. From someone who's more close than a friend, it's too much for her to watch. Despite having a cold personality, she is still a human. A weak one, per se. Aqui Darragon moves her fists into a ball as her jaw clenches hard to stop herself not to joining the tension that's currently happening in front of her.
They are all connected to this. To what happened in the past. Haven, Aqua, Aqui, and Morri.
They were all connected to her. To Arivona Clove Lascova. The poor little girl who suffered in the hands of Naraka Laviente. She seems like she doesn't have a damn at all.
"Funny. I was born in hell, honey. What do you think?" Naraka roams her eyes to the women in front of her which causes her to laugh even more.
"Had you not pushed me to my limits, that wouldn't happen," her eyes fix on one particular person.
Queen Aqui Darragon.
"My brother suffered because of you! I did that to protect him from further pain that your family can give! It's not my fault. It's yours!"
Aqua's mouth fall open as she heard the words from Naraka. One person comes into her mind.
Loco Sniper Laviente.
"What are you talking about?! Don't put the blame on me, you murderer!" Aqui bursts out. Veins are already popping out of her neck as well as her hands that are clenched which causes her knuckles to turn white.
"I know, but you can't turn me blind eye to what I saw that night, Darragon. But that's not the case here,"
Tiana as well as Sorcha who's listening to their words from the start at the rooftop from her earpiece, can't help but be confused about the situation. What happened that night? Why does Aqui Darragon involve? Aren't they supposed to make Naraka confess what she did in the past?
That was a few questions that were running inside their head.
Gunreigh on the other side, together with Haven Thorne remain not talking nor reacting. They remain stoic.
"Why don't you just say it, Naraka? Confirm the accusation we're pushing about you rather than making an excuse. That would be better, right?"
Morri interjected before the latter can continue her words. She walks towards her which causes the others to be alert.
"Damn, Morri! What are you doing?!" Aqua can't help but makes sense to Morri's clouded mind.
She can't be near her! That was what she thought when she observed something sharp at the back of Naraka on her hands. She saw it when Naraka was busy talking to Aqui. She doesn't know what will happen but she can feel it.
Something is off. She knows there is.

AQUA LAVERDA
"Damn it!"
I can't help but curse under my breath causing the person on the other line from my other earpiece to be alert.
"What's wrong?" Despite his voice sounding concerned, it remains a monotone one.
"Naraka seems to have a plan from the start. I can't be sure enough. I need to check it out myself. If I can't be back in five minutes, call the others and come here immediately,"
"Take care, Cenna. For me,"
A small smile forms on my lips as I jump down from the tree. I expertly land on the ground, my right foot in front as the left one is a few steps behind my right. I put pressure on my hands that are pressed on the ground to support and balance my body.
The other girls can't hear me because I intentionally block them to hear me. Though I can still hear them talk on their earpieces.
"Haven, guard Naraka's moves. I'll be alerting the others and Morri as well," that's Gunreigh's voice.
I continue to run upstairs while hearing them plan how to stop Naraka once things get out of hand. I trust haven and Gun. I'll let them handle the things in there.
After some minutes of running, I harshly open the door of the rooftop. That causes Sorcha to point her gun toward me.
"It- It's me," I raise my hands as if I'm surrendering to the police.
"You scared me! God!" I laugh at her patting her chest. Probably calming herself after getting scared that someone had found her hiding place.
"Let me," I immediately lie down on the floor beside her as she looks at me. Confusion etched on her eyes and face.
"What are you doing here by the way?" She asks me but soon lets me handle her sniper.
"Your sniper's cool!" I complimented as I can clearly see everything in the dark. It's different from a night vision. It's like I can see everything in the daytime rather than in night time.
"That's my personal weapon, Aqua. Of course, I made them. Kidding aside, what are you doing here?"
I squint my eyes as I move the gun and look everywhere through its lens. I can see Haven monitoring what's happening around them from a tree branch just like what I did earlier. She's behind Naraka in a distance while Gunreigh's busy talking with the others through her earpiece.
I don't know what she's talking about because I turn my earpiece off from them.
Morri's now two steps away from Naraka and I can't help but be tense from that.
Damn freaking stubborn, Morri!
"You have your bow and arrow, right?" I ask her instead of giving her my reason.
Time's running and I can't be talking right now.
"I have it here. Why?" I feel her movements around me while I focus my eyes trying to look for something in the whole place.
I know there's something. Damn, I need to find it!
"Ready yourself. Fire an arrow when I tell you so, get it? Use your night vision. Go!"
I instruct her on what to do as a wicked smile formed on my lips when I found what I was looking for.
Assassins.
They blend in the dark too perfectly that I hardly see them from it but you can't hide from my eyes.
"Ready?" I ask her as I stretch my fingers because it's been a while for me to use a sniper.
"I can't keep up but yes, I am. Where to?"
"Two from the Card A Building, rooftop. It's best that we're hidden from a wall," I tell her as I move my gun slowly to the right to spot another three assassins assembling their guns and arrows hiding behind the thick part of the leaves of a tree. One from a branch near the ground, another to the next branch, and the last one near the top of a tree.
"Two down," I continue to tell her directions to shoot those assassins when an arrow almost hit my head.
It's a good thing my reflexes do me a favor by leaning on my right before that arrow hits me. I immediately move the sniper in the direction of the arrow when a burning pair of eyes coldly look at me behind the lenses.
I was stunned for a moment but when he raise his arms to shoot me another arrow, I can't help but fire a bullet in his direction. I didn't particularly shoot him on his body but it's nearly shot into the side of his head. If I hadn't controlled the trajection of the bullet, I might kill him but I'm not that heartless.
Why did he even need to interfere? When did he come back?
"Don't," I breathed out in my earpiece to send it to someone that can hear me right now.
He probably knows that his friend is targeting me.
"Let him, Von Alas. I will not die from his hand," I squint my left eye, zooming in on where he is.
He's pointing his gun at the guy who's aiming me his arrow. I didn't even know how did he find me here on the rooftop and the fact that he knew what was happening even though he wasn't here for the last few days is quite disturbing.
"Don't die, Laverda...,"
"If you say so, Morozov~"

Note: How was it?
PS: I mistook the word trajectory to projection, it's a good thing I feel like there's something wrong with it and I was right. Haha.Download Novelah App
