|AQUA LAVERDA|
"This is so tiring," Tatiana deeply breathes out as she slumps hard onto the large sofa inside my office. She grabs the small pillow placed in there and hugs it as if she really needs something to hug with.
Sorcha was with someone that I supposed, she was with the man I bumped on the stairs a while back. I don't know.
I was only leaning at the glass window here in my office as I watch some DOCs roaming or resting around the room while having a glass of water in my hands.
Aqui's with Loco and the others. I just give them the interrogation part because I'm as hell as tired as them already. Morri? I've seen her earlier in the corridor outside when I was busy sightseeing outside the glass window. The darkness over the horizon is quite calming for me.
The ones who are with me inside the room are Tatiana, Gunreigh whom I thought would come with Aqui, her best friend, Haven who was surprisingly was here together with Uno, and her twin, Hagen; and of course Von Alas's twin, Von Alistair Morozov.
He's actually approaching me with his glass of Vodka.
"It's late and you're drinking?" I ask him as I remain leaning my back in the glass window.
He slightly takes a seat at the headrest of the sofa in front of me. The other sofa is a meter distance from where we are.
"Nah, don't be such a nagger Aqua. I just came back and that's what you're going to say? Don't you miss me?" I lift my left eyebrow at what he asks me.
"After calling me 'nagger' you're asking me that? Really?" I ask him with sarcasm in my voice.
After the incident twelve years ago, we became close with each other together with the other guys. Which is him, Von Alas, and of course Hagen who's much closer with Morri.
"I miss you too, Aqua!"
He laughs before drinking from his glass which also makes me smile a little bit.
"You're not a baby, Ali. You don't need such a thing from me. We're not kids anymore!"
"Whatever, Aqua. Whatever,"
He rolls his eyes but that doesn't make him look less manly. He's too gorgeous to address him such names.
But to be honest, a month without him is such torture. Aside from Von Alas and Morri, he was closer to me than the others. He became my boy best friend. I miss him of course but I will not make his head becomes bigger than normal.
"How was your mission? Anything that you found out?" I ask him after a while.
We're already standing in front of the glass window as we watch the night sky. He's beside me and his familiar perfume makes me scrunch my nose.
"I told you your perfume irritates me, Alistair. You're using it again? I thought you threw it a long time ago?" I snicker as I put my right pointer finger side to cover my nose.
Well, honestly it's good. It suits him perfectly. It's just that, my nose is very sensitive. I really thought he had thrown his perfume already or he forgot that I don't like his perfume.
"Tsk. Stop it, Aqua. You're not going to die because of it," he sighs as if he's getting done with me.
Well, I love teasing him! Because I know, he's not the type of person that will try to hurt me whenever I'm doing things like this. Growing up with him, we already know how to balance each other.
And I love this kind of relationship. I hope it to last.
"I'm kidding! You're still as grumpy as ever!" I laugh at him as I point at his ugly face. He's even pouting his lips like, what the heck?!
"You just missed me, Aqua. Just say it already, geez!"
"Nah! Why would I when I can't feel it?"
"What was your question again?" I sigh and put my hands inside the pocket of my white hoodie.
"Any news about them?" I ask, without any remorse.
I can hear him sighing as if he's tired already.
"Something happened?" I ask with concern in my voice.
I look at him but I didn't move in my place. He's staring at the vast darkness in front of us. His eyes are no longer playful. It doesn't even have any hint of emotion. It's unreadable and I can feel like something happened that makes him look troubled like this.
"The last guy that I caught said something and it doesn't make any sense. I don't know if he was trying to tell me the truth or just tricking me with his words. But before he can say something, mens' from Underground already shut him off with a bullet, Aqua. Imagine my frustration when that happened! Like what the f-!"
I watch him as he runs his palms on his face and messes his hair in frustration. I can only blink my eyes trying to process everything that he said.
"You mean? People from Underground know something?"
That's the conclusion that I can only come up with. If not, why would they shoot a person to death without getting him first with an interrogation process?
"I don't know,"
"Then what did that man say before he died?" I ask him.
"They were held somewhere, Aqua. I don't know if that was true because they told us that they were only going on a vacation! Then does that mean they lied? For what?!"
I firmly hold his shoulders to calm him down. He's getting out of control if he will not stop.
"Okay, I get it, Alistair. Just please, calm down first so we can talk and think straight. Your clouded mind isn't of any help, you hear me?"
He tightly closes his eyes as I can't imagine how frustrated and mad he is as to how the veins on his neck protruded, jaw clenching hard, and teeth-gritting. I tap his shoulder twice and mess his hair a bit.
"We're getting a lead. At least that's what I'm believing. He will not say that when he knew he was still going to die, right? We just need to be careful from Alastair-,"
"What about me?"
We both become tense when Von Alas's voice rings in our ears.
Oops.
"Ah- haha. Nothing! I'm asking him what time you'll be done with the interrogation. Right, Alistair?"
I am frantically panicking and it's not helping that I can see him already approaching us using my peripheral vision. I am a bit facing the door that's why I can see him.
I pinch Alistair's shoulders which makes him silently grunt in pain.
"Oh. H-Hey Bro! Aqua's been bugging me about it since I came back and talked to her! See what she's doing! She's torturing my shoulders already!" My eyes widen and before Alistair can run from me, I already kicked his leg.
"Hey! You're spouting nonsense!"
"That hurts, Aqua! Damn, you're so wild-, Ouch!"
"Damn you, Von Alistair! Come here! I'm not yet done with you. I will really pull all of your hair!"
I attempt to reach for my shoes when a gentle hand stops my hand.
"Hey, stop it. You two are tired already yet you have time to argue? You two really never change," his calm voice makes me want to mess my hair but I already fixed it in a high ponytail. I'm too lazy to fix it again once I do that.
I heave a deep sigh and shot Von Alistair a glare who's hiding behind his brother. Von Alas is holding my arms firmly but gently that's why I can't throw my shoes at him. He's lucky his brother is here.
That guy, really. He's such a headache!
"He started it though," I whisper as I remain glaring at his brother behind him.
"Nah, you know who started it first Aqua,"
"You-!"
"Haven wants to talk to you, Alistair. Go," my eyes widen as I throw a teasing look at Alistair.
"Go, Alistair! Fighting! I'm proud of you, okay? Don't forget that!"
I laugh at his troubled-looking face as if I'm not annoyed at him earlier. Von Alas can really turn the table off favoring my side. As always.
His reaction is priceless. Well, he got a freaking crush on Haven since the moment he saw her riding on her bicycle one time when we were about to go home in our village in Macedonia years ago.
"You're such a good friend, Aqua. Tsk,"  I'm still laughing at Alistair when a hand gently tugs me toward my office table.
"Oh! How's the interrogation?" I ask him when he makes me take a seat in my swivel chair as he takes a seat at the edge of my table using only his right thigh on top of the table.
"They were all students here and were recruited by Naraka to be her backup means,"
I blink my eyes and stare at his eyes.
"One of them got a problem with my position. I mean, I am a President for three years already and they're only making an action just now? That's why I didn't believe that guy earlier but I have this feeling that it was connected to what happened to Clover Ari Cross. Or there's something else behind this," a crease forms on my forehead because of too much confusion about some things.
"I'm also wondering what happened that day. You said it wasn't in your plan,"
"My plan?"
As I am thinking something, I don't quite follow what he said. I look at him, brow furrowing. My head's a bit aching. Probably because I'm tired after what happened earlier and we haven't yet gotten a rest from everything.
"The attack in the field. Clove's death.  It wasn't in your plan so, what happened?"
My eyes remain looking at his serious pair of eyes as I process his words. Slowly, things flash in my mind.

I was talking to Morri over the phone as kicked the pebbles on the ground.
"You want to create a scene at the field? Why?" She asked as I stare at the ground with no remorse.
"I have to do it for me to enter the DCC without anyone getting suspicious about it. You get what I'm saying Rain?"
"No, I don't get it at all. You know the process, Cenna! Someone needs to die for you to have a position in the group! Are you out of your mind?!"
"I am not! I told you no one will die. I will get it all covered. Just trust me on this okay? The scene at the cafeteria was a success! You know how that made my plans easier, Rain. And this will be a success too!"
"How sure are you, Cenna? You don't know how things are too unpredictable nowadays!"
"Why are you even thinking like that?! Don't you trust me?"
"I trust you but not with your nonsense plans!"
"So, you find it nonsense! The truth already comes out of your mouth!"
"That's not what I meant, Cenna! God! You know what? Let's talk some other time. You need to cool off your mind,"
Before I can even rebut what she said, she already ended the call. I was about to move my phone to see if she already ended the call, the sound of dried leaves being stepped on stopped me.
Was there someone who was eavesdropping?
"I'll call you back," I said as if the call was still on as I act, ending the call.
I also pretended that I didn't hear anything and was about to walk back my way in the dorm when I felt like I left something.
"What is it?" I asked myself.
I didn't have the time to think about what is it when I felt my phone vibrate. I answered the call while I continued walking in the dark corridor.
I just realized, I lost my handkerchief that day.
At the back of the school.
_____×××××_____
"Yes, it wasn't part of the plan because it became Naraka's plan to point the blame on me,"
Now, that makes sense.
"That was what happened. I don't know why she has to go this far, though,"
I look at him again as thoughts keep running inside my head. The truth about the incidents these past few days was all my plans.
Just like what Morri tried to make sense of me, it happened for real. I was too reckless with my decisions that led to Clover's death. I was too blinded by my plans on finding out the truth lingering at the back of my mind that I didn't get to think about it that much.
See what happened? I killed a friend. Not on my hands, but still with my plans.
The truth always prevails, right?
What a twisted truth it is.
