Chapter 43 CAUGHT IN THE ACT

It's midnight when Georgina wakes up from deep sleep, feeling thirsty. She didn't leave the room since she came and got forced to listen to the room next door—flirting. It's Henrick's room. The room isn't soundproof, and the wall is thin. She can hear everything loud and clear.
Thanks to the earphone she has. It helps her escape the tormenting scene that happened inside Henrick's room.
Before leaving the bed, she looked at her phone and saw its a quarter to one o'clock. There's also a missed call from Marga and Jin. She ignored it and walked outside the room to get some water to drink.
The hallway was already dark and surrounded by deafening silence when she came out. As she strode a walk down the stair, she also saw the dark living room. There's no presence of someone anywhere. 'Maybe, they all fall asleep,' Georgina thought before she headed straight to the kitchen.
With her sleepy eyes, she turned on the lights and was about to walk towards the refrigerator, but in surprise, she saw Henrick and Sora in their awkward position. Henrick's sitting on a chair while Sora is on his lap—facing him. Her hands wrapped around his nape with her hoodie jacket half-lifted—showing her brassiere while Henrick's hand cupped on its left chest. Both of them are panting as they look in shock in her direction.
For a moment, Georgina's mind went blank. She didn't know how to react, it was not even the first time she's seeing something like this, but she lost her thoughts. Something is raging inside her, something that's about to burst out.
She's about to speak but swallows her words in the end.
"What are you doing? Isn't it common to leave when you see something like this?" Sora said, smirking at her.
Georgina clenched her fists and bit her lower lip.
"Leave. Do I need to say it to you?"
"Henrick Jung, I think you're having too much fun." Georgina couldn't take it and snapped at him. "I don't care about those women you flirted with, but be considerate and stop doing it while I'm around. It's disgusting to see."
"What?"
"Tomorrow, make sure that rude woman won't stay in this house while I'm here, or else, I'll leave." She said in annoyance as she walked away from them.
***
The next day, the sun had already risen when Georgina walked downstairs with a stern look. She looked around the living room and only saw Henrick sitting on a long sofa while scanning his phone—it's what she thought, not until Sora came out from the kitchen wearing an apron. Their eyes locked on each other but changed rapidly to a glare.
She didn't leave.
Even a single sign of leaving, there's no such thing.
But luckily, she expected this kind of outcome so she didn't take out her things inside the luggage.
"When did you wake up?" She jolted out upon hearing Henrick's voice.
"You should ask me if I slept well after seeing a disgusting scene. You're funny." She rolled her eyes and was about to walk towards the kitchen, but Henrick grabbed her wrist.
"Hey, I'm talking to you."
"I already answered. Stop bothering me and continue flirting with your woman. Don't even try to show your face in front of me. It makes me puke." Georgina yanks her hand. She was about to leave, but Henrick pulled her to face him properly.
"What's with your attitude? I'm talking to you calmly."
"I'm calm as you."
"Georgina."
"What? Are you mad?"
"Y-you..."
"Stop this. Your woman's watching us. She might think that something is going on between us. I'll leave after I finish taking a bath."
"Why are you leaving?"
"Why asking a ridiculous question? Are you not listening to me earlier? I told you I'll leave if that woman will stay here."
"Sora can't leave here."
"Good. I'll leave then,"
"Argh. Sora can't go anywhere. Her parents aren't living in Seoul, and Zeno's about to leave the country today. She's going to school and..."
"I don't want to meddle in your business, but you're ridiculous just thinking about yourself. Are you selfish?" Sora asked.
Instead of answering, Georgina chuckled and turned back to the woman with her stern gaze.
"I'm selfish enough to ruin a lot of life by just existing, and I can even ruin yours."
"What did you say?"
"H-hey, stop it, the two of you," Henrick said as he stepped between them. "Sora, you have a class today, am I right? Go ahead and get ready."
They stared at each other for a few seconds before Sora surrendered and walked upstairs to prepare herself while an awkward silence lingered in the living room.
A sigh escaped from Henrick's mouth before he faced Georgina with her grim face.
"Don't be too harsh towards her. She's still immature, but..." He glanced at Georgina but noticed her uninterested look, so Henrick grabbed her hand. "I'm sorry. It's all my fault for bringing a woman here, sleeping with her, for taking advantage of Sora while you're here. Argh. I'm just frustrated."
"You're not the only one who feels frustrated here. Since the last day, you've been acting weird that I don't even know if you're mad or whatever you called it. I have a lot of things to think about from today on, so don't make me think more than that, will you?"
"Okay, fine. I understand. Don't leave anymore, hmm..." He caressed her cheek before they stared at each other. "Stop talking with your ex, and I'll stop seeing any woman. Do you understand? At least until we get a divorce and finish everything, do it."
"What are you talking about? Van got involved in my family problem along with a few people. We want to get revenge on that witch and see the end of it."
"But you still love your ex," Henrick insisted.
"You love that bitch Kiela too and adores a lot of women. You're much more terrible than me." Her words made him speechless. It's a bull's eye, nothing but the truth.
"Fine. I can't deny it. You win." He said, scratching the back of his head. "So, let's forget about them and date each other. At least, if we're going to pretend, let's make it half-real. Isn't it a favor for you? If your mother believes that we're falling for each other?"
"You're right. The evil witch might stop targeting Van and his family."
"Like what you said before, we can't leave out Giovanni in the plan since the two of you started it, so if you talked to him about the plan, let me in."
"You..."
"Let's end this conversation."
"The two of you are still talking?"
They looked behind and saw Sora wearing her school uniform. She glanced back and forth between the two and finally landed her stare at their hands. Henrick's still holding her left hand.
Her death glared noticed by Georgina, but she answered it with a sneer as she intertwined their hands.
"I want to go somewhere later. You'll accompany me, right?" Georgina asked Henrick.
"H-huh?"
"You don't want?"
"Of course, I want. Let's head out after I drop Sora at her school."
"She can manage herself. You should accompany your fiancee first than anyone else."
"W-what? Henrick promised me before." Sora burst out, raising her voice.
"He promised me too. He'll not entertain any woman from now on. What will you say, Henrick? It's your choice." Georgina looked at him, but Henrick stared back and forth between the two.
"A-ah... I'm sorry, Sora." He said. "I can't do it anymore. Sorry."
"Henrick, why are you listening to that woman? She's not even Kiela."
"She's my fiancee, the woman I'll marry soon. Although it's arranged marriage, we're still getting married."
"Tsk, it's annoying to hear that from you. Where's the Henrick whom I know? Did that woman brainwash you? I hate you." Sora said, shouting every word as she stormed out of the house—bringing only her bag. She even slammed the door hard. It made the two jolts out.
"She's mad," Henrick mumbled to himself, but Georgina heard it.
"Who cares about her getting mad? She's a spoiled brat who knows nothing but to become rude."
"Why are you acting like that towards her? Is it because of what happened earlier?"
Georgina stares at him in disbelief. "Do you think I'll get mad because you flirt with someone? She annoys me."
"It's only your reasoning?"
"Don't pick a fight on me. I don't like that woman. Shut the f*ck up and cook for me. I'm hungry to death."
"Why would I cook for you?" Henrick asked in confusion.
"It's because I say so, don't you want?" They stare at each other before he heaves a deep sigh.
"Fine. I'll serve my queen with all my might."
A slight smile formed on Georgina's mouth as she purposely bumped into him and walked straight to the kitchen while Henrick followed her with a confused look.
"What do you want to eat, my queen?"
"Stop being cringe. It's giving me goosebumps."
