As we flew over the dense forest, the helicopter's rotors whirring above us, creating a deafening roar that made it hard to think, the Boss turned to me and said, "Alright, Gabriel, it's time for you to start your journey. Please exit the helicopter." I nodded, my heart racing with anticipation, my mind filled with thoughts of what lay ahead. I made my way to the door, my hands grasping the edge of the seat to steady myself as the helicopter banked slightly to the left. The Boss handed me a small remote control, about the size of a smartphone, with a sleek black casing and a small LED light on the top. "This is your signal to start," he explained, his voice raised above the din of the rotors. "When the light blinks green, you'll know it's time to begin. For now, it's still red, so just wait patiently." I took the remote, feeling its weight in my hand, and looked down at the blinking red light. I nodded again, understanding the instructions. I knew I had to wait for the green light before starting my journey. "Liam has already been dropped off 10 minutes ago," the Boss continued, his voice firm and commanding. "He's been given the same information as you. You'll both be starting at the same time, so it's up to you to navigate your way back to the mansion." I nodded once more, taking a deep breath to calm my nerves. I was ready for this. I had been training for sometime, honing my skills and learning new ones. I was determined to win this competition, to prove myself to the princess and the Boss. The Boss smiled and patted me on the back, his expression encouraging. "Good luck, Gabriel. You'll need it. Remember to stay focused and use all your intelligence to overcome any obstacles you may encounter." With that, I jumped out of the helicopter, landing softly on the forest floor. The impact was cushioned by the thick underbrush, and I rolled to absorb the shock. I watched as the helicopter flew high into the air, the Boss's face visible in the window, waving at me before they disappeared into the distance. I looked down at the remote again, the red light still blinking steadily. I knew I had to wait, but I was eager to get started. I took a deep breath, feeling the cool forest air fill my lungs, and began to scan my surroundings. The forest was dense, with tall trees blocking out most of the sunlight. I could hear the sounds of birds chirping and leaves rustling in the wind. I knew I had to be careful, to use all my skills and knowledge to navigate this treacherous terrain. I looked around, taking in every detail. I saw the tall trees, their trunks thick and gnarled, their branches twisted and tangled. I saw the underbrush, thick and dense, making it hard to see more than a few feet in front of me. I saw the wildlife, birds flitting through the trees, squirrels scampering up and down the trunks. I knew I had to be careful, to avoid any dangers that may be lurking in the forest. But I was ready. I was determined to win this competition, to prove myself to the princess and the Boss, and as well, myself. I would wait for the green light, and then I would start my journey. As soon as I saw the blinking light turn green, I began my journey, my heart racing with excitement and anticipation. I knew that I had to move quickly and decisively if I was going to have any chance of winning this competition. The idea was to follow the same direction where the helicopter had exited from, but something tells me that the Boss and the pilot on the helicopter possibly thought of that already, so they possibly might've chosen to fly out through a wrong direction to confuse me. I thought about this for a moment, weighing my options carefully. I knew that I couldn't just follow the path that the helicopter had taken, or I would be walking right into their trap. I needed to think outside the box, to come up with a plan that would allow me to outsmart them and find my way back to the mansion. But as I looked around, I didn't feel too scared or overwhelmed. Back at the orphanage, we were used to going through thick bushes and forests when Mother Superior wanted to show us about natural life and the beautiful things created by God. She would take us on long walks, pointing out the different plants and animals, teaching us about the importance of conservation and respect for nature. I remembered the way she would show us which berries were safe to eat, and how to identify the different types of trees. I remembered the way she would tell us stories about the forest, about the animals that lived there and the magic that happened when no one was looking. So, I drew on those experiences, using my knowledge of the natural world to navigate the forest. I looked for landmarks, like streams and rocky outcroppings, and used them to guide me in the right direction. I pushed through the underbrush, using my hands to protect my face from the thorns and branches. As I walked, I felt a sense of calm wash over me. I knew that I was in this alone, but I also knew that I had the skills and the knowledge to succeed. I thought about Liam, wondering if he was having an easier time than me, but I pushed those thoughts aside and focused on my own journey. The forest was dense, but I was determined to make my way through it. I climbed over logs and under low-hanging branches, my senses heightened as I navigated the treacherous terrain. I heard the sounds of birds and animals all around me, but I didn't let them distract me from my goal. I kept moving forward, my eyes fixed on the path ahead. I knew that I would eventually come out of the forest, and when I did, I would be one step closer to winning this competition. I was determined to succeed, to prove myself to the princess and the Boss. I would not let them down. I walked for what felt like hours, the sun beating down on me through the trees. I was sweating and tired, but I didn't stop. I kept moving forward, my heart pounding in my chest. I was determined to win, no matter what it took. Finally, after what felt like an eternity, I saw a glimmer of light through the trees. I pushed forward, my heart racing with excitement. I was coming out of the forest, and I knew that I was one step closer to winning.
