Anna
After completing my morning routine, I pick up the ironed clothes from my bed. I put on a black skirt that falls to my knees and pair it with a dusty rose bishop blouse. I wrap a black scarf around my neck and glance at my reflection in the mirror. My hair is braided and falls over my left shoulder, with a few strands framing my face.
Once I'm all set I quickly gulp down a glass of milk and grab a toasted sandwich. Holding the sandwich between my teeth I wash the dishes a d I exit the kitchen. Taking a bite I sigh as I squat by the balcony door, in front of the large storage box which is now the house of a kitten. The corners of ny lips twucth as I watch eat the food hungrily as I finish feeding the kitten making sure everything is arranged to prevent it from being caught by my strange landlord. Before I leave, I check on the cat again to assure it will be fine. I grab my pink canteen bag and slip on my black stiletto heels.
Okay, I got this... I cannot escape and I should face the music, meeting Mr. Han like nothing happened. I have the right to figh him but, it's a lie if I say I didn't like the kiss.
Taking a deep breath, I step outside and, as expected, he steps out at the same time. It's uncanny how accurate his timing is. He looks at me, his face lighting up like a child seeing a full moon for the first time. He's wearing a white shirt tucked into dark denim, along with a black blazer.
"Morning, Ms. Anna,” he greets
"Morning," I utter looking every except him.
We stand in front of the elevator and I step inside as soon as it opens. After a frw moments of silence,  Mr. Han breaks the ice.
"I'll drive you." He offers.
"No thanks, I got something to do on my way," I reply in an instant.
"I can wait for you," he insists taking a step closer to me.
At the right we finallu reached the ground floor. "See you at work, Mr. Han," I say, rushing out of the elevator before the doors are fully open. Luckily, there's a taxi waiting, and I quickly get in before Mr. Han can see me.
Of course, I have nothing to do on ny way, it was a clear lie. Dylan had something to handle in his business so he couldn't drive me to work.
The whole ride till I reach the office made me feel nothing but unconscious. When he is around me, my brain swiftly recalls that night and justvthe thouht of it is making me nervous and flushed.
On my way to my cabin, I apot Harry exiting Mr. Han's room. He passes me a smile as he greets me.
I notice the papers in his hands and realize he must have collected them from Mr. Han's office. "Is Mr. Han in his room?" I ask.
"He left just a few minutes ago," Harry replies.
"Oh, thanks." With that said, I rush into Mr. Han's office to collect my files deciding to gather everything I need from his office so I won't have to come back, except for getting his signature. With all the files in hand, I walk into my office and stack them on my table. I crack my knuckles and start working, switching on my laptop.
My happiness didn't last longer. It hadn't even been a hour and now, I feel it, the feeling of someone staring at you. The human sozth sense is really great, as sometime we just get this unusual feeling of sonmmeone watching even without having looked at them. I ckicl my tongue and slowly avert my gsze to the transculent wall between us. There he stays on his cushionea chair, watching me. His heated gaze–
Why does he always look at me that way? It isn't creepy but it's something like, his gaze is soft. So very weird.
Igneoing him I continue my work, he will eventually mind his business. After ages I sit upright and i lean back into my seat, a wrar sogh escapes my lips as I stare at the printed papers. Now, I have to meet him.
"You got this Anna." I encourage myself as I stand andvstroll out to his cabin. Inhaling a deep breath in i calm my already pacing heart and I knock.
"Come in," he permits.
I place the files on his table and step back keeping my gaze low, not daring to look at him. Mr. Han averts his gaze from cinputer to me and down at the files.
"Done," he says after a few minutes.
I nod amd step forward to collect the files. Please stop staring at me. my inner voice begs.
"Ms. Anna," he calls softly.
Before he has a chance to speak firther, I pick  the files and I scurry into my cabin. Stacking the files on the table I take my seat, ataring at an empty space as I breath continuously in and out, why is my heart racing? Forget it, forget it... I shake my head throwing away the thought of him amd begin to check the presentation which Mr. Han needs for the neeting later.
Ahem! Ahem!
The noise snaps me to reality, I look up and my eyes widen to see the lerson whi I don't want to. I was so immersed in my work to not knkw he entered a d isbstanding in front of ny table. Alright, let me confess not in the work, I was sliding the presentation where as my brain was completely captured by that night. The way his lips felt mine, it was pure pleasure.
"Ms. Anna," he says, looking down at me.
"Yes," I reply hiding the nervousness building in me. I was just thinking him, the way he kissed me and mow he is im front of me, who would not be mervous?
"Could you get me a cup of coffee?" he asks. His already tall figure seems even taller as I'm seated in front of him, looking up.
"Sure," I respond. Rolling my chair back, I stand and walk out without looking back.
"For Han?" Charlotte asks as she enters the room.
"Hmm," I hum in reply, placing the mug in its spot, I switch on the coffee machine and watch as the brew flows into it perfectly,  it's satisfying to observe it.
"Are you alright? You look kinda pale," she says, walking next to me and grabs a mug for herself.
"I'm totally fine," I shrug, lifting the mug to give her space to fill hers. "I'm a bit under the weather  as I got wet in rain yesterday. What's up? You seem like you're not in the mood today." I ask, studying her for a moment. She puts her nug on the spot and stares at it. Something is definitely bothering her.
"Some relationship issues, I would say," she mutters almost to herself. "Actually,  I visited my parents yesterday and they are pushing me to get married."
"Oh," I lean over the table and cross my arms.
"So, I don't know how to tell my boyfriend about it, what if he refuses. What if marriage is not his plan for now."
"What do you think about it? Are you willing to marry him?"
"Of course, we've been together for a long time."
"That's great," I place the mug on the table and step forward turning her to face me. I rest my arms on her shoulders, skightly looking up at her. "Don't overthink about it. I'm sure he is going agree, come on who would refuse to marry you." I steo back passing her a playful grin. "Tell him tonight and tell me, he agreed. Alright." I point at her.
She nods.
"Cool," i pick the mug and raise it in the air, gesturing her good luck. She nods with a beamong smile, and that smile is beautiful.
"By the way, the coffee would have turned cold." Charlotte reminds.
"Oh, I forgot about it." I drink up the light warm coffee in one gulp and refill the mug after washing it.
I knock on Mr Han's office door but receive no response. Taking his absense as an advantage I quickly push open the door and enter hoping to leave before he comes back. For the first his office seems oesceful to me, it is peaceful without him.
Walking in, I place the mug on the coffee table in between the two regular size couches. I turn around and loud shriek left my lips as I knocked on something. My eyes which squeezed shit opens on its own and gazes up to meet the pther pair of eyes looking down at me. I quickly take a wide step back and regret it the very next second.
My heel collided on the bottom of the sofa making me land on it, and my mouth. I just hate my body sometimes, it is really humiliating, I responded to the accident with a squeeky scream as I sat on it. To my surprise Mr. Han didn't find it a joke, if it was anyone they would definitely laugh or chuckle watching me, even I woild do the same of some one in front of me falls on the coush with a scream like a mouse.
He leans forward and rests his arms on either side of me, creating a physical barrier that traps me in place. He gazes down at me and the left corner of his lips quirks to a smirk.
What is he doing?
His head lowers, and atick my mself back to the cushion curling my toes, I stare into his eyesmy orbs moving to the left and right.
"Seems like  you are avoiding me,” he says in a low voice.
"I think you misunderstood, sir." I reply calmly, though my inner self is going crazy.
"Is that so?" He arches a brow.
"Your coffee is on the table, and I have to leave." I say trying to push him behind but he doesn't budge. His eyes never leaving me.
"Sir,"
I quickly push him harder a d he steps back this time, leaving space to walk away. In a flash, I sta d a d rush past Harry who is standing by the door.
"The meeting is in five minutes, sir," I hear him say after a long moment of silence.
