"I'm scared, Ryan. I... I'm just so scared," Mula confided, causing Ryan to look at him before turning back to Elena. "You did what you felt was right," Ryan responded. "I did...? What? I didn't do anything," Mula said, leaving Ryan confused, staring at him, not understanding what he meant. "I don't understand. What do you mean? I thought..." Ryan began, but Mula cut him off. "You better stop thinking because I didn't do it. I couldn't give her the potion last night. I wanted to, but I couldn't," Mula stated, leaving Ryan gazing at him, exhaling heavily, and tapping him on the shoulder as they looked at each other, engaged in a serious discussion. "I understand it's a big problem for you, but trust me, you did fine. You made the right decision," Ryan started saying, but Mula interrupted, knowing what he was going to say. "My decision isn't final yet. I didn't say I wouldn't give it to her..." Mula was explaining when Elena's voice interrupted them. "Is everything alright?" Her voice startled them both, realizing their secret was almost at risk. Elena might have overheard their entire conversation without them realizing. As they heard her voice, they turned towards her. She had just woken up, slowly moving back until her head gently rested against the wall. She looked at them with a mix of nervousness and drowsiness, like of course someone who had just been roused from sleep. "Elena, you're awake!" Mula exclaimed, glancing briefly at Ryan. "Could you give us a moment?" he murmured to Ryan, who nodded and left the room. Mula then approached Elena and sat down beside her. They gazed at each other, Elena's expression tinged with suspicion. "How was your night? Did you sleep well?" Mula inquired. Elena nodded, stifling a yawn and stretching. "As you can see," she replied. "But I can't feel any difference, seems the potion didn't do it's work," Elena remarked. Mula fell silent, contemplating her words. He sighed, running a hand through his hair, avoiding her gaze. Elena sensed that something was amiss based on the conversation she had overheard between Mula and Ryan. "I thought you added the potion to my food last night, does this mean, it's not working?" Elena questioned. "Yes, I did mention it, but after instructing you to wait for me at the dining area, I reconsidered and altered the food," Mula confessed, still avoiding eye contact. "Why?" Elena exclaimed in dissatisfaction. "Because I'm scared it might hurt you," he said, turning his gaze to her as they locked eyes. Elena was speechless, her emotions written all over her face. "The physician warned me that the potion is very dangerous to tamper with," Mula added. Elena approached him, gently placing her hands on his cheeks as they continued to gaze into each other's eyes. "We will never know the outcome if we don't try. You should have let me take it; it was our only option," she said, tears streaming down her face. Mula nodded in agreement, his gaze shifting to the floor before meeting hers once more. "I understand it's our only hope, but I can't bear the thought of losing you. I don't want to risk it; I can't bear losing you," Mula confessed, tears now falling from his eyes, revealing the depth of his feelings. While Elena may not see things from his perspective, their feelings are aligned. Mula knows that Elena is carrying a child and he cannot bear to harm it because he loves her. However, to protect her, he may have to make a difficult choice. If Elena discovers his deception after giving birth, she will undoubtedly leave him without a second thought. Either way, it remains the same whether she discovers in the future the lengths he went to in order to have her all to himself. This is a challenging moment for Mula. Tears streamed down Mula's face as Elena gently wiped them away with her right hand. "I know you're afraid of losing me, but you need to push that fear aside. If you don't, you'll still end up losing me," she said, before Mula cut her off. "Please, Elena, don't say that," he pleaded, tears now falling from Elena's eyes as well. "It's the truth. We all heard the physician's warning about my life being in danger. We need to act quickly to do the right thing. I promise you, nothing will happen to me," she reassured him, prompting Mula to look up at her. Taking her hand, they continued to gaze into each other's eyes. "Can you truly make that promise?" he inquired, to which Elena nodded, and they embraced each other once more. • • • Adam Kindle's Home. Adam Kindle was supposed to have a wonderful night, especially since his manager had come to visit him and offer assistance with his situation. The night wasn't easy, but Olivia did her best to support him. Olivia had truly shown Adam the depth of her love, which transcended boundaries. However, she awoke to find herself alone in bed, covered only with a bedsheet. As the early morning birds sang and the sun rose, Olivia slowly woke up, yawning as she looked around and realized Adam was no longer beside her. Glancing at the clock, she saw she still had some time to herself and wasn't in a rush. She knew that work at the office must have already begun, even in her absence and Adam's. With others managing things at the office, one after the other, there was no need to worry. After getting up, Olivia uncovered herself and got out of bed. She was naked, her beautiful breasts on display, as she put on her pants and clothes. Once dressed, she decided to head to the kitchen to prepare breakfast for Adam before leaving. As she was about to leave the room, she encountered Adam in the living room once again, sitting alone and gazing at the sky. As Olivia gazed at him, she realized his thoughts had drifted back to his family once more. She knew he must be deeply troubled by their memory. Taking a deep breath, she understood that it was not easy for him to simply push aside thoughts of his family. Approaching him gently, she sat beside him. Their eyes met briefly, both choosing to remain silent, unwilling to break the quiet moment. "It must be incredibly difficult for you, Adam. I empathize with your pain," Olivia managed to say softly as she reached for his hand. "No, you can't possibly understand, Olivia," he replied, his voice filled with sorrow as tears welled up in his eyes. "I can't just move on from the loss of my beloved daughter. Excel meant everything to me. Today was meant to be a day of great joy, the day she would have made me the proudest father alive," he confessed, tears streaming down his face. "I've thought a lot about this, and there's only one way I can find peace," he continued, swallowing hard. "Please, tell me. I'll do everything I can to support you," Olivia interjected, relieved to hear that he was seeking a way to heal from his pain. "I seek revenge. I must find Alpha Dean and the woman he sent. They must face the consequences of their actions," he declared, causing Olivia to shake her head in disapproval. "But how do you plan to confront them? We're talking about werewolves here – beings with extraordinary strength and abilities beyond imagination. How do you intend to seek your revenge?" Olivia questioned, her concern evident in her voice. "I'm not sure how to handle this; that's why I need your help..." Adam began, but Olivia cut in. "We're both at a loss here because Alpha Dean, the most powerful among them, is beyond our reach. There's little we can do," Olivia cautioned, attempting to dissuade him. However, Adam cut her off with a raised voice. "Of course, we can do something!" he exclaimed, rising from his seat in frustration. "Adam, please don't challenge Dean. It could end badly for you. Just let it go," Olivia pleaded. "Never! If everyone is afraid of him, I'll be the one to stand up against him! He took the most precious thing from my life. I'll confront him, and he'll witness it himself!" Adam yelled furiously before storming off into the room.
