Episode 2.

Mula's Pack.

The male wolves guarding Mula's compound had doubled in number. These were strong and capable werewolves skilled in combat.
Following Mula's orders, they vigilantly watched over the compound, ensuring no intruders could gain entry.
Two cars approached the compound from the highway, pulling to a stop. Among those present, Ryan was the first to step forward, recognizing Dean as he emerged from one of the vehicles.
Upon seeing Dean and his vehicle, Ryan welcomed him with a friendly smile, acknowledging the unexpected visit. "Welcome, Alpha. A heads-up would have allowed us to prepare better for your arrival," Ryan remarked, concealing any concerns he may have had.
Dean, observing the increased security measures, maintained a calm demeanor, aware of Mula's tactics to bolster protection. "What difference would it have made? Should I reveal my plans to potential adversaries?" Dean retorted, leaving Ryan momentarily puzzled.
He raised an eyebrow, studying him intently as he paused to consider his words.
"What exactly does that mean?" he inquired.
"Don't waste our time. You know why we're here. Don't pretend otherwise. Let's keep this civil," Max barked at Ryan, his eyes glowing red, indicating his wolf's readiness to emerge. Dean calmly nudged Max back, fixing his gaze on Ryan.
"I'm still puzzled by this sudden confrontation. I thought this was a friendly visit, as it used to be," Ryan said, feigning confusion as he glanced between them.
"You will go in there and tell Mula I have arrived immediately! I won't repeat myself!" Dean thundered in a low, commanding tone, causing Ryan to take a step back in alarm.
"Very well," Ryan acquiesced, lowering his head slightly before heading off to summon Mula as instructed. To prevent immediate conflict, Mula needed to be present to decide whether a confrontation was necessary.
"And inform him," Dean called out to Ryan, who paused and turned back.
"Not to venture out here without bringing my Luna with him," Dean emphasized. Ryan departed silently to find Mula.
As Dean and Max surveyed their surroundings, awaiting Ryan's return, they encountered the unfamiliar faces of the male werewolves that Mula had recently integrated into his pack.
With their eyes, they are already assessing their growing strength.
"Mula seems ready," Max whispered to Dean as they continued to gaze at the wolves lingering nearby, the distant howls of more wolves echoing from all corners of the house and the neighboring woods.
"How does that stop me from taking my Luna with me? I would crush them all," Dean thought as they locked eyes and nodded, waiting in silence.
Max kept his hand behind his back, while Dean's hand was tucked into his pocket, his dark sunglasses giving him a more menacing appearance.
Soon, Ryan returned with Mula closely trailing behind, but Elena was not with them.
Max glanced briefly at Dean, who nervously swallowed, his anger evident as they approached.
"What a surprise visit! You should come in, let's have a drink," Mula invited with a smile, as Dean removed his glasses and fixed his intense gaze on Ryan.
"You didn't inform him?" Dean asked in a low, menacing voice, making Mula widen his eyes in confusion.
"Inform him about what? What's going on?" Mula asked, raising his hands in a gesture of innocence. Dean, now visibly angry, stepped closer, their eyes locked in a tense stare.
The atmosphere grew charged with danger as both Max and Ryan, as betas, readied themselves for a possible confrontation, their positions mirroring each other in readiness, poised at the brink of a potential clash.
"I don't understand the game you're playing, and I have no interest in knowing! Just go inside and bring my Luna back to me! This is the last time I'm asking!" Dean's voice boomed as he glared at Mula, who met his gaze with unwavering determination.
"I'm not sure what you're accusing me of. If your Luna is missing, why not discuss it with us so we can help you find her instead of causing a scene?" Mula suggested, a faint smirk playing on his lips as he composed himself.
"Mula, the time for games is over! Athena has informed me of everything. So, go inside and return my Luna, whom you took away from me!" Dean's anger flared as he pointed towards the house.
"You took her from me first!" Mula retorted boldly, intensifying the tension between the two powerful Alpha males.
Max, confused by Mula's claim, furrowed his brow, seeking clarification. "Dean took Elena from you first?" he inquired, to which Alpha Mula nodded solemnly.
"Yes, he did! She was meant to be my mate," Mula disclosed, leaving Max and Dean stunned by the revelation.
Dean, skeptical of Mula's words, challenged him, "You're clearly mistaken! If she was your mate, why didn't you take her with you since all this while till I found her?"
"Because I only met her that night when you were getting married to her, and I only allowed her to be with you because I knew you wouldn't let her go with me. She's my mate, and I can't let you treat her like you did the others," Mula stated firmly, leaving Dean almost speechless.
Dean kept his gaze fixed on the floor, biting his lip briefly before looking up at Mula once more.
"Whatever...! Everything you're saying is just meaningless to me. I was the one who rescued her from her abusive home. I..." Dean began, pointing at himself, but Mula cut him off.
"No! You didn't rescue her, you bought her and enslaved her! You exploited and terrorized her, forcing her to live in fear. But she's found happiness with me, and I vow to never let you take her away. I'll do everything in my power to protect her!" Mula declared, his eyes locked on Dean's furious gaze.
As Dean stepped closer, gazing into his eyes, he spoke firmly, "I will give you just 48 hours to return her. You wouldn't like what will happen if I have to come back here to get her myself." With that, he angrily left for his car, leaving Max behind, who stood there briefly staring at them.
"One more thing you should get into your skull, she's carrying a baby in her womb. If you don't want trouble, nothing should happen to that baby!" Max yelled before storming off to his car as well. They both drove home, leaving Ryan and Mula staring at each other in silence.
"Take care of the territory. Make sure everything is secure," Mula ordered before heading inside to see Elena.

Elena was taken aback when the door opened; she initially thought it was Dean coming to get her, but to her surprise, it was Mula. A sense of relief washed over her, and she let out a sigh.
"Mula? What's going on out there? Is he gone, or am I in trouble?" she asked, looking visibly concerned as she hurried towards him. Mula nodded reassuringly, placing his hands on her waist and gazing into her eyes.
"No, my darling, you're not in any trouble," Mula said, planting a gentle kiss on her cheek.
"He's gone. He was searching desperately for you, but as long as I'm here, you're safe," Mula promised as Elena hugged him tightly.
"Thank you for being that person I can rely on. I must have caused you some serious problems, haven't I?" Elena whispered to him.
"No, you're mistaken. You are my mate, and we are one. Your burdens are mine, and it's my duty to protect you," Mula promised, pressing another tender kiss on her cheek.
