Episode 22.

Adam Kindle's Home.

The midnight air resonated with the deep sounds of animals that filled the surroundings, creatures from the nearby woods and forest.
Gwen stood by the window, peering out into the night. She felt the need to be alone, taking a moment to observe the outside world before retiring to bed.
Sleep eluded her on this particular night, the first she would spend without her husband by her side. It wasn't just his absence that troubled her; it was the nagging worry that he might be in danger out there, keeping her wide awake.
As she stood there lost in her thoughts, Olivia emerged from the inner room, on her way to the check on her. Catching sight of Gwen standing alone, Olivia sensed the unease that hung in the air.
Approaching Gwen, Olivia gently inquired, "What are you doing out here all alone?" Her voice broke the silence, almost startling Gwen.
Turning to see Olivia, Gwen remained silent, her gaze fixed outside the window. Olivia joined her, standing beside her and looking out into the night as well.
"You should be asleep by now; it's late," Olivia remarked softly, breaking the quiet night air.
"I wish it were that simple," Gwen replied, turning to face Olivia. Tears welled up in her eyes, revealing the depth of her inner turmoil.
"I can't sleep alone. I've tried, but it never works. How can I rest when my husband might be in danger out there? How can I be sure he'll come back to me?" Gwen confessed, only to be interrupted by Olivia.
"He'll come back, don't worry," Olivia reassured, but Gwen cut her off.
"We don't even know where they went. It's clearly not safe, and there must be a good reason he kept it secret and wouldn't let me come along. I should have insisted," Gwen said, tears welling in her eyes as Olivia fell silent.
Placing her hand on Gwen's cheek, Olivia looked into her eyes. "He will return for you," she promised.
"I understand how you feel. I share the same concern for my boss. All we can do is hope they both come back to us," Olivia said, wiping away Gwen's tears.
"Your boss?" Gwen inquired, realizing she had mistaken Adam for Olivia's husband.
"Yes, he is my boss. Despite that, he's been incredibly kind to me. He's a remarkable person, unlike any other man I've encountered," Olivia explained, to which Gwen nodded with a faint smile.
"You're fortunate to have him then," Gwen remarked, returning Olivia's smile.
"Let's get some rest. Maybe we can find comfort in each other's company," Olivia suggested, taking Gwen's hand as they headed to bed.
Gwen settled onto the bed first, while Olivia switched off the light before joining her. They snuggled up together, seeking solace in each other's embrace.

Alpha Dean's pack.

Inside The Cell.

"Such an amazing son of mine," Dean said, cradling the little baby in his arms, still not returning the baby to Elena.
"Thank you for helping take care of my Luna. She was able to give birth to my son so soon. How did that happen? You must know," Dean inquired, noticing Mula's annoyed expression.
Bitter and puzzled, Mula couldn't fathom how Dean had managed to win Elena back despite all the protections he had put in place.
With a whirlwind of thoughts swirling in his mind, Mula grew increasingly angry, rendering him unable to respond to Dean as he fixed him with a deadly gaze.
He was as well very surprised to hear that Elena had given birth, he knew she must have touched that potion.
"You're not speaking? Seems like you're surprised," Dean interjected, still met with silence from Mula.
"Very well, you probably don't want this water," Dean remarked, raising the cup of water he had brought for him.
Without a word, Dean poured the water onto the ground inside the cell, while Mula continued to glare at him in fury. Thirsty and feeling the effects, he understood Dean's intention.
Dean aimed to force him to beg for water, but he refused to stoop to that level. He chose to endure his thirst rather than submit to Dean's manipulations. Now, with the water wasted on the ground, Mula realized Dean expected him to lick it up, a gesture he was unwilling to make.
After staring at it for a while, he managed to control himself and looked up at Dean, who smiled back at him.
"At least I'm being merciful. I could have poured it even farther away from you," he muttered before smiling slightly and leaving the cell.
After he left, Mula angrily punched the iron cell, his eyes turning blue and then back to normal, indicating his wolf's annoyance.
"Elena has finally given birth for this monster! I'm certain she must have taken the wrong potion. She could have opted for an abortion! I made a grave error by listening to Ryan. Damn!" he muttered angrily while vibrating in frustration inside the cell.
He wished the iron used in these cells were as weak as normal iron, so he could break free and find his way out of this place. There was no way he would leave without his mate.

Elena's Room.
Finally, Elena returned to her room, she must have missed it.
She settled onto the bed, where Alpha Williams attended to her as she had just gone through labor.
In the room, there were only Williams, Elisa, and Elena. Williams had asked for some space, so Elisa, being a servant, was required to stay and assist constantly; hence, she remained behind.
While administering medication, Alpha Williams glanced at Elisa. He had some thoughts he preferred not to voice, but now they lingered in his mind, compelling him to speak.
"I saw you in Mula's Pack a few days ago. I don't understand," he murmured softly as Elena shook her head.
"I was compelled to come here. You wouldn't understand," Elena replied. Williams grasped that it was a topic best left untouched, realizing that Dean might have clashed with Mula or encountered some trouble with Mula's Pack.
"Such a burden is too much for someone like you. I empathize, but here are the medications you need to take and apply to aid your healing. They will expedite the process, unless your regenerative abilities are strong enough to render them unnecessary," he explained, presenting her with the medicines.
Having finished his tasks, he packed up his things, preparing to depart. "I should meet with Dean before I leave," he mentioned, intending to exit, only to be stopped once more by Elena.
"The potions you gave me... what were they for? You told me they would wash away every germ in my body, but the effect they had..." Elena said, swallowing nervously as she watched him stop and turn towards her, folding his hands.
"I thought it was somehow connected to the prescription you gave me, but Ryan mentioned it was meant to be an abortion pill. Mula intended to abort my baby?" Elena asked, while Williams took a deep breath. Elisa stood by, looking on, clearly not fully understanding the situation.
"Please, don't lie to me. Only your honesty can guide me in this because right now, Mula is a captive here," Elena added as Alpha Williams prepared to respond.
Williams hesitated briefly. He had always been a wise Alpha, preferring to keep a low profile and avoid trouble, which helped maintain peace within his pack and foster alliances with other packs.
"Well, you took the medicine. I believe you should know its intended purpose based on the results you experienced," he said. Elena gazed at him for a moment before nodding.
"Thank you," she said as he turned and left. Elena then shifted her attention to Elisa.
"Ask the Alpha to return my baby. the baby should be in my arms by now; he has had enough time with the baby already," Elena insisted.
"My Luna, you're still recovering. I recommend you rest. He will bring the baby to you when..." Elisa tried to comfort Elena, but she cut her off.
"I want my baby now!" she exclaimed, mustering the strength to rise from the bed. Just then, the door swung open, revealing Dean entering with the baby in his arms.
"What's wrong?" he inquired, closing the distance between them as he focused on Elisa, who promptly left the room, understanding his unspoken question.
He passed the baby to Elena, and she cradled him with both hands, a smile breaking across her face as she gazed down at the little one.
"There's my boy," she whispered joyfully.
"Have you decided on a name for him?" Dean inquired, to which she shook her head without meeting his eyes.
"He's to be named after his father, Dean Junior, the future Alpha of our pack," Alpha Dean pronounced softly, caressing the baby's cheeks tenderly.
