Episode 9.

"It must be hard for you to see them so close together now," a voice interrupted Roseline as she stared at Sam and Ariana from her window.
When she turned around, it was her sister, Rosemary, who stepped into the room and kindly sat on the bed. Both of them seemed tired.
"Yes, you're right. It is hard for me to see them like this, and the hardest part is that there’s nothing I can do. I can see that Sam loves her; he loves her more than he loves me," Roseline said as she moved closer and sat beside her sister.
"No, you're always too quick to make conclusions, Rose. I know Sam, and I know that he cherishes you more than anything on Earth. I don't think there's anyone he would love more than he loves you," Rosemary replied.
"Well, you may think so, but we already have evidence right here. Can’t you see what's happening? Don’t you see how happy he is? He has never been this happy since he lived with us. We have never made him this happy, and then this strange girl showed up..."
"Exactly! That’s exactly what we should be worried about!" Rosemary interrupted, placing her hand on Rose's cheek. "Sam is in danger now, and we both know it’s our duty to protect him! We have a potential threat in our midst, and we must guard him against her. We don’t know where she came from, we do not know her true intentions on why she's here"
"At first, it was John who approached him, took him to the corner, and whispered something to him. We’ve been asking him what could be wrong, but he refuses to tell us. And then this girl arrived. You and I know that John can never be trusted!" Mary said, leaving Rose gazing intently at her.
Rose was deep in thought about what she had just heard. Slowly, she began to see Mary’s point. After a few moments of contemplation, a small smile appeared on her face.
"You’re saying there’s a possibility that John was paid by Adam to help him get to Sam? and then this girl could also have a hand in it" she asked. Mary nodded firmly at her.
"Exactly. There’s no other explanation. We both saw how John approached Sam, took him aside, and whispered something to him. Now Sam is refusing to tell us what was said. And then this strange girl shows up from nowhere"
"You and I both know it’s not a coincidence that Sam won’t share what John told him. It’s clear that John must have instructed him to keep it a secret because he knows we see through his facade and would ruin his plans. That’s why he went so far as to advise Sam not to tell us. And it’s no surprise that this girl showed up right after that. Can’t you see how well-planned this is?" Rosemary suggested.
Roseline smirked as she stood up, biting her fingernails and pacing back and forth. She was reflecting on everything her twin sister had just said, and she couldn’t help but see the truth in it. But what could they do about it?
"Rose, I agree with what you’re saying, but what are we supposed to do now? How can we convince Sam to be cautious about her? You know very well that Sam—" She was still saying but got interrupted.
"Calm down, Rose. We’re not involving Sam in this. This isn’t about him; it’s for his own good. We’re acting in his best interest, and when the truth comes out, he will thank us for it," Mary replied, while Rose looked at her with a confused expression.
She didn’t fully understand what her sister was trying to convey. Was Rosemary suggesting they should kill the girl? If that was the case, then she would have to bow out of the plan—she couldn’t bring herself to harm even an ant, let alone a human being.
"Rose, I’m sorry, but honestly, I don’t understand what you’re saying. If you’re talking about killing her, then I must refuse, you know I don't have the heart" Rose said, while Mary shrugged her shoulders, her expression clearly rejecting the idea.
To be honest, Rose's mind didn't even entertain the thought of killing the girl. Why would they harm an innocent person, even if she had come to plot against Sam? It wasn’t Sam’s fault neither was her; it was the man who sent her. They had no intention of causing her any harm.
"No! How could you even think that? Of course, we’re not going to kill her. We only plan to capture her, question her, and monitor her every move. We’ll listen in on her phone calls. With all this information, we can determine if she’s truly here to harm Sam. We both know she is," Rosemary suggested.
Roseline stayed quiet for a moment, contemplating this before gently nodding her head in agreement.
"Alright then, I think you have a beautiful plan," Rose said. Then the both of them nodded happily in agreement.
         At The Room
Meanwhile, Sam and Ariana were in his room, reminiscing about the past and sharing lovely memories.
Sam sat on the bed, while Ariana sat close beside him, their hands intertwined as they cuddled. Being that close felt extraordinary; it had been a while since they experienced such warmth. It was the best feeling of their lives—until Adam came and threatened to take it away.
"I don’t think I can stay here. Your sisters don’t like me," Ariana whispered softly to Sam.
"That’s because they don’t know you," he replied.
“They don’t know me? Are you telling me that since we parted, you have never mentioned me to anyone, especially your sisters? Did you forget about me just like that?” she said, while Sam shook his head in immediate disapproval.
If only she knew how often he talked about her. If only she understood that they were angry because they were jealous of her for taking a place in his heart. He spoke about her so much that they feared he loved her more.
“No, Ariana, you’re always on my lips. I’m always telling them about you.”
“Then why aren’t they happy to see me? They just don’t seem pleased at all. I think there’s something more to it. Maybe you haven’t told them who I really am… I was the one that freed you and made you escape, you didn't tell them that” She continued, but he interrupted her.
“I’ve already explained why they don’t want you around me. I don’t know what else to say! They’re my sisters, and they are just protective of me. After I told them what happened between you and your father, they worry you might betray me. They think you were sent by your dad to hurt me.” He stated.
Ariana fixed her gaze on the floor, her emotions clearly visible. Something was weighing on her mind.
“What’s wrong? Are you alright?” Sam asked. She looked up at him, tears streaming down her cheeks.
“Yes, I envy you. I’m so glad you’ve finally found your home, you are so happy and comfortable with them now, looking after each other. Look at me; I don’t even know what it feels like to have brothers or sisters. I’m all alone, and the worst feeling ever, to have my dad in my bed almost every night.” She muttered, tears falling faster. Sam quickly wiped them away.
“Come on, it’s okay. Your dad won’t use you anymore. You’re safe now. I’m here to show you what it’s like to have real love,” Sam said gently. Their eyes locked, and in that moment, she leaned in and kissed him softly on the lips.
He smiled as they embraced, their kisses deepening. Sam’s hands slid beneath her clothes, eager to remove her barriers so they could savor the moment together.
