Chapter 3: Meet The Leader

Breaks are the little luxuries rather than travels. Airplane rides, in a surprising way, grows to be a boring thing and airports are a hassle. He'd rather spend his time on the house, or on the kind of food that makes him feel as good as royalty. That's vacation. Their needed holiday after a very long, hard days of work.
Reaching Park Sunghoon's hometown, Jungwon's eyes flashed with the exhilaration the moment he stepped out of the vehicle. After his long, persistent ribbing of taking him home with him, Sunghoon finally agreed. That little city outside the big city is just perfect for the time off. He'll definitely enjoy his time like a normal person, at long last.
Filled with excitement he couldn't sidelined, Jungwon hurriedly ran to reach the doorway, eyes gleamed with the same excitement as a child seeing his favorite sweets after a long time.
"Omma! Appa! I'm home!" Sunghoon's voice echoed in the modern house's living room.
"Woah, your house is so nice, Sunghoon Hyung." Jungwon eyes were aglow with the thrill.
"Why is it so silent in here?" Sunghoon asked in confusion. "Wait a minute--" he stopped seeing a note from the kitchen's counter top.
Jungwon tapped his toes rapidly, looking like they were about to spring up from the floor. The excitement is so massive, like he got the enthusiasm of a kid waiting to open his present on a Christmas day.
"Oh? They're out of town. My Halmoeni got an emergency and Yeji came along. It means--" Sunghoon delayed his next statement.
"W-What?" Jungwon's energy dropped so suddenly.
"It means the house is all for us for the entire week! Wohoo!! Freedom!!" Sunghoon excitedly screamed, arms sprung up in the air.
Though Jungwon was grinning wildly minutes ago, it took a while to process the words he had heard. When the realization finally sunk, he jumped on his feet and rushed to Sunghoon, leaving his baggages down the floor. They jumped up and down, arms flailing, like little kids experiencing liberty for the first time.
"Okay, stop." Sunghoon put an end to the elation. "We looked like total freaks, really."
"Oh yeah, we do, actually." Jungwon pulled away and picked up his bags. "Can I put these now in your room?" he asked.
Sunghoon shook his head quickly. "Nope. My bed is all for me, Jungwonie. You stay in Yeji's room."
"Y-Yeji's?" Jungwon was caught by surprise. "But that's your sister room--"
"So, what? She's not here. She'll never know."
Jungwon scratched his head as he freed an awkward laugh. "You want me to stay in your sister's room? Is it really okay?"
"Sure. Why not? As long as you keep it tidy until she comes home. Just don't touch her things. Don't you want a bed all for yourself?" Sunghoon proceeds to open the room.
"Well--" Jungwon pulled a face. There's pink everywhere, even the curtains. "This looks so.. girly."
Sunghoon chuckled. "What do you expect? That blanket can give you the comforts of your own fleece. Trust me."
Sunghoon pushed him in. Jungwon was hesitant to step forward. "Eerr, I think I'll be okay in the couch."
"Don't be such a dope." Sunghoon giggled in amusement. "I'm conking out, don't bother me. If you get hungry, just rob the fridge. See you tomorrow, Wonie."
Sunghoon moves so swiftly and before Jungwon could react, he already shut his door leaving him in the midst of an absurd, girlie room. He breathes easy as he surveyed the area with his sight. Yeji's stuff was placed in an orderly manner, might not touch a single thing.
Their group's portrait caught his eyes. It was properly placed in a framework, sitting in the corner of the far side table. Jungwon smirked seeing a funny sign. Yeji put a small heart on Jake's face, could pass as a sticker but it was a writing. Park Sunghoon don't have the slightest idea that his little sister secretly adores Sim Jaeyun.
Then, another one gripped his eyes. A picture of Yeji with someone he haven't seen before. She's hugging Yeji, both doing a duck-like pout but she have that face that got his attention and he stared at her for merely ten seconds, thinking how could a woman be fairly beautiful like her. Jungwon's curiosity had awaken. Her beauty is hard to ignore.
"She's pretty.." he muttered unconsciously, smile could reach into his ear.
Rousing back to his senses, Jungwon finally moved his feet to sit on the bed. Girls really got weird taste. The colors everywhere are eye stinging, the brightness it gives is implacable. How will he able to he shut his eyes at night?
Sitting on the bed near the most sunny window, he gets a glance of the little garden just right outside Yeji's room and how it quickly gave him the serenity he'd been searching for a long time. The house sounds so tranquil, the quiet days were idled away. The sound of still telephone, the silent clock, the sailing in the breeze; so therapeutic. Being on that break, he realized how tired his body is. The never-ending tours is so straining and the sounds of home is like a general anesthesia, something so dull, it easily puts him to sleep.
"Yah, wake up! Don't you miss me?"
Covering himself under the comforts of the quilt, Jungwon jerked softly. Hearing an unfamiliar voice, he ceased himself to move a muscle. How long he'd been sleeping? Or he's still dreaming? But getting a sight of the morning sun right across the window, it's definitely morning. Again? So he's been sleeping for almost 24 hours?
"I can hear Sunghoon Oppa snoring on the other room." the giggly voice once again echoed.
Jungwon gulped hard. He can feel the person's warmth just beside him, so close, just an inch away as panic wrapped him in.
"Ah, Yeji! You're such a sleepyhead!"
He breathes in relief after confirming it's not Yeji but was capped with a greater fear. Who is she? Jungwon felt the person pulled away and silence comes next. He took a breather once more as he tried to lift up the blanket. Taking a peek is the dumbest thing he ever did. Letting his one eye out, he caught the furious stare of the girl, standing just inches away from the bed, and is about to take him down.
"I knew it! What are you doing in Yeji's room, you stupid crook?!"
The girl's deathly stare knocked him for six. Jungwon hid back in the blanket, discomposed and stricken. And then in a surprising turn of events, he found himself being whacked by something hard all over his body. The girl got him unprepared to rebuff as she keeps on blowing soft punches on his face under the safety of the sheets.
"Awww! Stop!" Jungwon yelled.
"What did you do to, Yeji, you stupid, son of a gun?!"
"I didn't do anything!" he tried to defend.
Clearly, he did not do anything because he was just sleeping and then a pandemonium broke out.
"You filthy liar!" the girl hissed. "Get up! I'm taking you to jail, you dirty bonehead!"
"Yah! That was already below that belt!" he couldn't take the profanity anymore.
Jungwon got a fast glimpse of her form, she's a tiny girl but the strength is absolute. She's pulling his hair, trying to move him out, and he couldn't believe he's been outmaneuvered by such a small figure.
"W-Wait! Stop, stop! You're hurting me--" he whimpered in pain.
Still covered with the sheets, he made his feet move to the direction where the girl is leading him. Then, they stopped. He tried to pull the blanket out of his face but was cut short by another scream.
"Oppa! There's an intruder in Yeji's room! Call the cops! Hurry!" she kept on banging Sunghoon's door.
"What the--? Yah!"
He's wrestling with the sheets then another blow. Jungwon spluttered when he felt a choke. He was being strangled by small-scale witch and is so eager to kill him.
"What's going on here?" Sunghoon went out, scratching his eyes.
They both sighed in relief, but the girl is still not releasing her grip.
"Call the cops! I found this felon in Yeji's room! I don't know where Yeji is!" the panic in her voice is preeminent.
"I'm not an intruder!" Jungwon is pissed, he could strangle her back if given a chance.
A short silence was heard, followed by Sunghoon's loud and boisterous laugh. He felt the girl's grip loosened and quickly, he took the blanket off his face, freeing himself out.
"Let him go, Hyejin." Sunghoon ordered.
"You know this prat, Oppa?!" her voice went from iron-willed to a bit muddled.
"He's not an intruder. And Yeji's out of town. What are you doing here so early in the morning and choking my guest?"
Hyejin instantly released her arms around the man. She stepped back, throwed herself on the wall, while she covered her mouth that's about to scream in great embarassment.
"I couldn't believe you almost killed our leader." Sunghoon shook his head in disbelief, still shrugging with the laugh.
"L-Leader?" she swallowed, totally stunned, eyes turned wide as she gets a clearer sight of the man she's been whacking for so many times.
"Yeah." Sunghoon nodded as he faced Won. "Won, I'm sorry. It's a misunderstanding. This my cousin, Park Hyejin. Hyejin, meet our leader, Yang Jungwon."
