CHAPTER 28 ♡ (end)

The three of them continued watching television peacefully. A few minutes later, Max glanced at the clock on the wall to his right. His eyes widened when he realized it was already 1:30 PM. Max quickly took his wife and child to have lunch, which was now a bit late.
“Oh... no, Sweety! We’re late for lunch. I’m sorry I didn’t remind you. Let’s eat now,” Max said, filled with regret.
“It’s okay, Honey. I forgot too. Come on, dear, let’s eat first. Evan must be hungry. Sorry for not taking you to eat earlier, okay?” Hera replied, looking at her handsome son.
“It’s alright, Mama and Papa! Besides, I wasn’t hungry earlier. Now that I remember, I’m getting hungry. Hehehe,” he replied innocently, chuckling a bit.
Hera and Max laughed together, amused by their child’s honest response.
“Let’s go eat, baby,” Max said, taking his son’s hand. Hera, who was next to Evan, held her child’s small hand and slowly walked towards the dining table.
Upon reaching the kitchen, Max called the maid to prepare their meal. The maid, feeling guilty for letting her employers eat late, bowed her head.
“We’re sorry, young master. We didn’t want to interrupt you while you were enjoying your show,” Aunt Kyla said regretfully.
“It’s alright, Auntie. But next time, if we forget the time again, please feel free to remind us,” Max replied politely so that the maid wouldn’t feel too guilty.
On the dining table, a variety of dishes were served. From appetizers like salad and bruschetta to main courses such as roast meat, satay, and various vegetables. There were also desserts like pudding and fresh fruit.
Seeing the satay in front of her, Hera quickly swallowed her saliva. She wanted to devour the food on the table right away.
“Honey, hurry and lead our prayer, I can’t wait to taste the food here,” Hera said to her husband.
“Yes, that’s right, Papa! Let’s hurry!” Evan chimed in, also impatient because his stomach was already very hungry.
The family prayed together before enjoying the dishes before them. After the prayer, they started eating heartily but remained calm.
Once they finished eating, Hera decided she wanted a refreshing drink.
“I’d like something fresh to drink, Honey. Do you have any suggestions for my craving?” Hera asked her husband.
“Hmmm... how about we have some fruit juice? Would you like that?” Max asked, alternating his gaze between his wife and child.
“Yes, that sounds great. I want orange juice to refresh myself... hehehe,” Hera replied eagerly, already imagining how refreshing the juice would be.
Max nodded and then asked what his son wanted. “What kind of juice does my handsome boy want?” Max asked gently.
“I want watermelon juice, Papa,” Evan answered enthusiastically, looking up at his father with sparkling eyes.
“Alright... Papa will go to the kitchen for a moment to make the drinks you requested. Wait for me, okay?” Max said to his wife and child. They both replied, “Yes, Papa!” to the handsome man.
Max walked to the kitchen to make the juice that his wife and son had asked for. He wanted to make it himself and didn’t want to ask the maid to do it.
He headed to the fridge, taking out some bright, enticing oranges. Carefully, he washed the oranges, enjoying the fresh citrus aroma. Then, he cut the oranges in half, took out the juicer, and started squeezing the juice one by one. Each drop that flowed into the glass brought him happiness.
“Sweetie will definitely love this!” he thought, occasionally tasting the sweet liquid he had produced. If needed, he would add a little sugar to enhance the flavor, but he wanted to keep the natural freshness of the oranges.
After the orange juice was ready, Max moved on to the watermelon. He took the prepared watermelon slices from the table. The watermelon looked red and juicy, ready to offer refreshing goodness. Quickly, he cut the watermelon into small pieces and placed them in the blender.
“My son Evan will surely love this juice,” he murmured while pressing the blender button. The grinding noise resonated in the kitchen, making the atmosphere lively. Soon, the thick and tempting watermelon juice was ready.
Max poured the watermelon juice into the neatly arranged glasses on the table. He added ice cubes to provide a refreshing chill. The bright colors of the orange and watermelon juices were a feast for the eyes.
Hera and Evan, who were waiting, got up from the dining table to go to Hera and Max’s balcony. Hera had already asked Aunt Kyla to inform Max of their whereabouts.
On the balcony, Evan rested his head on his mother’s lap. They sat in a long chair, gazing at the vast mansion grounds. Evan closed his eyes, feeling sleepy.
“Baby, don’t sleep yet. It would be a pity for Papa, who made juice for us, if you don’t drink it later,” Hera said, gently stroking her chubby child’s cheek.
“I’ll sleep for a bit, Mama. When Papa comes to the room with my watermelon juice, please wake me up, okay? I really want to drink that watermelon juice!” Evan replied with sleepy eyes, hugging his mother’s round belly.
“Alright. Mama will wake up my cute child later,” Hera answered, gently caressing her child’s hair.
---
Fifteen minutes passed...
Max had placed two glasses filled with the enticing juice on a tray.
He stepped towards the room where his wife and child were. Aunt Kyla had informed him about their location.
Max opened the door carefully to avoid spilling the juice he was holding. He walked towards the balcony, noticing they were both there.
“The delicious juice has arrived!” Max announced to them. However, his eyes were focused on his son, who was sound asleep.
“Thank you, Honey,” Hera said with her sweet smile.
“Has he been asleep for long, Sweety?” Max asked, placing the tray he had brought onto a small table nearby.
“He’s been asleep for almost 15 minutes, and he asked me to wake him when his watermelon juice was ready,” Hera replied honestly to her husband.
Hearing this, Max nodded and gently woke his son.
“Baby... wake up, baby... Papa has brought your watermelon juice...” Max said softly, kissing his son’s forehead.
Evan, hearing his father’s voice, slowly opened his eyes. His lips curved down in a pout, feeling his sleep interrupted. Max immediately picked him up to lift his spirits.
“Shh... don’t cry. Papa has prepared a delicious juice for you and Mama,” Max said, trying to soothe him while gently patting his back.
Remembering his watermelon juice, Evan looked up at his father with hopeful eyes.
“I want to drink watermelon juice, Papa,” Evan said cutely.
Max sat down beside Hera and gently cradled his son.
“Here’s your juice, baby,” Hera said, directing the straw to their child’s mouth.
Max took the glass from his wife’s hand, holding it so she could enjoy her own juice.
“This is so delicious, Papa! Thank you for making the tastiest juice for me and Mama. I love you, Papa!” Evan exclaimed, hugging his father’s neck.
“Mama and the baby love you too, Papa!” Hera added, wrapping her arms around her husband from the side.
SKIP AT NIGHT.....
Hera had just finished her duties as a wife to her strong husband. They were both catching their breath after engaging in an exhausting activity on the king-size bed.
As for Evan, he had become brave enough to sleep in his own room. So, the married couple could freely express their affection in their room.
Max held his wife’s bare body tightly, but Hera’s large belly still served as a barrier between them. Hera inhaled the scent of her husband, which had always calmed her mind.
“Thank you, Sweety! You’re amazing, and I’m very satisfied,” Max said, gently caressing his wife’s waist.
“Oh, honey, I’m embarrassed,” Hera replied, her face turning as red as a tomato from her husband’s compliment.
Max chuckled and kissed his wife all over her face. He gently pecked Hera's lips and one hand caressed Hera's large belly that was pregnant with their child.
In between their kisses, Hera gently patted her husband's chest to stop them. Hera turned her body to make it easier for her husband to hug her.
Max hugged Hera from behind and kissed her neck several times.
“I’m so happy to be living with you and our children, Sweety!” Max said softly, pulling Hera closer to him.
“I’m also happy to be with you, especially having children with you. I hope our happiness lasts until the end of our days,” Hera replied, holding her husband’s strong hand.
“Amen… we will be happy together with our children forever. I love you, Hera. I love you so much, Sweety,” Max said, turning Hera’s face towards him and gazing into her eyes with deep affection.
“I love you very much too, Honey. So much!” Hera replied, giving her husband a quick kiss.
Max held the back of her neck to deepen their kiss.
