Zach felt a chill run down his spine as Kong leaned closer, his voice a low growl. "You're a good kid, Zach. I can see that. But you're also naive. You think you can walk into my world and play by your own rules? You think you can just ask for a favor and walk away unscathed?" Zach swallowed hard, his throat suddenly dry. He knew Kong was right. He was out of his depth, playing a dangerous game. But he had to find the man he had hit, and Kong was his only hope. "I...I know it's dangerous," Zach stammered. "But I'm willing to do whatever it takes." Kong chuckled, a dry, humorless sound. "Whatever it takes, huh? That's what they all say. But you don't know what 'whatever it takes' really means. You don't know what I'm asking you to do." He paused, his eyes piercing Zach's. "I need you to do something for me, Zach. Something that's going to require you to step outside your comfort zone, to cross some lines you never thought you'd cross." Zach's stomach lurched. He knew this was coming. He knew that Kong wouldn't ask him for a simple favor. He knew that this was going to be something big, something dangerous. He had to know what it was, what he was getting himself into. "What is it?" Zach asked, his voice barely a whisper. Kong leaned back in his chair, his gaze fixed on Zach. "I need you to infiltrate a group. A very dangerous group." "A group? What kind of group?" Zach asked, his mind racing. He had a bad feeling about this. Kong's lips curled into a smile, a cold, calculating smile. "Let's just say they're not the kind of people you want to cross. They're ruthless, they're powerful, and they're very good at what they do." "What do they do?" Zach asked, his voice trembling slightly. He had a bad feeling about this. A very bad feeling. Kong's eyes narrowed, his gaze piercing. "They're a…'security' firm. They handle…'problems' for people who can't handle them themselves. They're the kind of people you call when you need something done, something…unconventional." Zach's mind raced, trying to make sense of it all. "So, you want me to spy on them? To infiltrate their organization?" Kong nodded slowly, his gaze fixed on Zach. "Exactly. I need you to get close to them, to learn their secrets, to find out what they're up to." "But why me?" Zach asked, his voice barely a whisper. "Why would they trust me? I'm not…I'm not one of them." Kong chuckled, a low, rumbling sound. "That's the beauty of it, Zach. You're not one of them. You're an outsider. You're the perfect person to get close to them, to gain their trust. You're the perfect person to…'infiltrate' them." Zach felt a wave of nausea wash over him. He knew he was in over his head. He knew he was stepping into a world he didn't understand, a world where the lines between right and wrong were blurred, where the price of a favor could be high. But he had to do this. He had to find the man he had hit, and Kong was his only hope. "Alright," Zach said, his voice barely a whisper. "I'll do it. But I need to know more. I need to know who they are, what they do, who I'm dealing with." Kong smiled, a cold, calculating smile. "You'll learn everything you need to know. Just trust me, Zach. Trust me." Zach felt a shiver run down his spine. He didn't trust Kong, not even a little bit. But he had to do this. He had to find the man he had hit, and Kong was his only hope. He had to trust his gut, trust his instincts, and hope that he wouldn't regret this decision. "Alright," Zach said, his voice firming up. "I'll do it. But how do I get close to them? How do I even find them?" Kong leaned back in his chair, his eyes gleaming with a mixture of amusement and disdain. "That's the fun part, Zach. That's where you get to use your…'skills'. You'll find a way. You always do." Zach felt a prickle of unease. He knew Kong was right. He always found a way, even when he didn't know how. But this time, it felt different. This time, it felt like he was stepping into a trap, a web of lies and deceit. "Alright," Zach said, his voice barely a whisper. "I'll find them. But what am I supposed to do once I'm in? What kind of information are you looking for?" Kong leaned forward, his voice dropping to a conspiratorial whisper. "I need you to find out what they're working on. What kind of 'problems' they're solving. And most importantly, I need to know who their clients are. Who are they doing these…'favors' for? Who are they protecting?" Zach felt a chill run down his spine. He had a bad feeling about this. A very bad feeling. He knew that Kong wasn't just asking him to spy on a security firm. He knew that Kong was asking him to get involved in something much bigger, something much darker. "Alright," Zach said, his voice barely a whisper. "I'll find out what I can. But I need to know more. I need to know what I'm getting myself into." Kong smiled, a cold, calculating smile.
