Chapter 17 ROUND 2

Zero's POV
Kizaki and I exchanged punches, and I could tell his strikes were strong and heavy, but I didn’t show any signs of being outmatched by the hits I was landing.
He threw a right punch toward my face, and I ducked to the side while winding up a punch of my own with my left fist from below.
My left punch connected with his right jaw, and I was sure it hurt him from the impact.
He quickly recovered and aimed to punch me with his left hand, but I preemptively struck him with my right fist to his chin.
I stepped back to launch a kick to his stomach with my left foot.
My kick landed hard on his abdomen, causing him to recoil and clutch his midsection due to the pain from my strike.
I didn’t rush him right away because I knew that if I continued my attack, he would surely find a way to finish me off completely.
I didn’t want to be knocked down again in our match, as it would be hard to get back up, and the worst-case scenario was that I wouldn’t be able to rise from the gym floor.
I waited for him to recover, and when he looked at me, he said, “Not bad, huh?” with a grin.
He gradually straightened up, as if nothing had happened earlier, but one thing was certain: I knew he had felt the effects of what I had done.
I braced myself for what would happen next because this was where we would find out who was stronger between us.
He walked toward me while I stood still, keeping my gaze fixed on him to anticipate his next move.
As he approached, he suddenly charged at me, so I quickly raised my guard to protect my face, but it was too late for that.
His powerful left punch hit my face with all his body weight behind it.
I was struck hard in the nose, causing blood to spill out. I fought through the pain, backing up several meters to avoid falling.
I nearly lost consciousness from that punch; I wiped my nose with the back of my left hand.
I noticed that Kizaki seemed like a different person now; he appeared stronger, as if all the training I had gone through in the past days meant nothing.
But one thing I was certain of: I couldn’t back down now, and I had to fight, as a representative position was at stake here.
I charged at him, jumping high to reach his face to kick him with my left foot.
He blocked my kick by raising both arms to avoid the strike in mid-air.
While his guard was up, I kicked his left knee hard with my right foot, but he didn’t fall, so I kicked again with force, and he finally knelt down due to the impact.
Caught off guard, his guard dropped, and I welcomed him with a powerful punch from my right that struck him in his right eye.
He screamed from the pain, and I seized the moment to grab his face with my right palm.
I held his face and swiftly slammed it down against the gym floor. I noticed he didn’t react, so I slowly pulled my right hand away from his face.
Suddenly, he grabbed my hand with both of his and tried to pull me down, but I quickly kicked his nose twice with my left foot, forcing him to release my hand.
I stepped back, feeling an ominous intuition about him as he rolled on the floor to get back up properly.
I saw the bruises on his face from the punches and kicks I had landed; his nose was bleeding, and his right eye was swollen.
He glared at me with anger in his eyes, and I figured I could use his rage against him to win our fight.
He charged at me, furious, as if he wanted to kill me at any moment, neglecting to raise his guard and leaving himself wide open.
I thought of a plan but wasn’t sure if it would work since I was also nervous about what might happen to me if I messed up.
But if I didn’t try, I wouldn’t know, and surely, I’d be finished if I didn’t take the risk.
I prepared myself for what I was about to do. As he got closer, I placed my left foot behind me.
We were only three meters apart, so I wound up and kicked with my left foot aimed at his right temple.
My kick landed with power, throwing him off balance, but it wasn’t enough to knock him down again, so I quickly lowered my left foot and used my opportunity.
I swiftly pivoted to my right and unleashed a rapid kick from my right foot, hitting him cleanly on the right side of his jaw.
He fell to the gym floor, and the room went silent, everyone inside stunned.
I noticed he attempted to get up, but before long, he lost consciousness, and my friends erupted in cheers, along with Miyuki calling out my name.
I sighed in relief, knowing our fight was finally over. I dropped to the floor, sitting down, panting from exhaustion and the tension I had felt just moments ago.
I was thrilled to see the results of my hard work and the struggles I had overcome.
My friends rushed over, shouting in disbelief at what had just happened; even I couldn’t believe it had come to this.
Thank goodness I had taken that last gamble, or our fight might still be ongoing.
They helped me to my feet, supporting me as we walked through the gym, but I glanced back at Kizaki, who lay unconscious on the floor.
His friends approached him, worried about his condition.
We continued walking without looking back at them, planning to exit the gym.
To be continued.....
