Chapter 9 F-1 REPRESENTATIVE
Zero's POV
I woke up as the sunlight hit my face, making me sit up since I knew I wouldn’t be able to fall back asleep.
I fixed the bed where I had slept and headed to the sink to wash my face. I was drying my face with a towel when someone knocked on the door.
I walked toward it and slowly opened the door, revealing Miyuki’s face.
She greeted me, “It’s good that you’re awake.” Without hesitation, I invited her inside.
I opened the door wider and said, “Come on in.” She stepped inside, and I motioned for her to sit at the table.
I grabbed some bread and water, placing them on the table where she was seated before I sat across from her.
I spoke first and asked, “Tell me, Miyuki, who is in charge of Taesan High?” I asked while looking at her and picking up a piece of bread.
She replied, “I don’t know, Zero, but if you want to find out, only one person can answer that.” She teased.
Curious, I responded, “And who might that be?” I followed up, still intrigued.
She stood up straight, looked at me, and said, “The first-year representative is the one who can answer that, Zero.” She answered me seriously.
So I have to meet and talk to this representative they’re referring to, but for what reason?
I drank some water and asked again, “Why do I need to talk to this representative?” while looking at her.
She answered me, “Because I’m sure he’ll be able to help us, especially you, Zero.” She crossed her arms and added, “He’s the leader of the entire first-year, and we need him as an ally if you want to become the number one in the school.” She explained further.
If what Miyuki is saying is true, then I really do need to meet and talk to this first-year representative and form an alliance. I know I’ll need more allies like Miyuki, who has shown trust and respect toward me.
I stood up from my seat and said I would take a shower before we headed to Taesan High.
25 minutes later
Miyuki and I were walking to Taesan High in silence, neither of us saying a word.
I couldn’t help but ask her, “What kind of person is the first-year representative, Miyuki?” as we continued walking.
She looked at me seriously and answered, “The first-year representative isn’t just any ordinary student; he’s a tough guy, well-respected by the first-year students of each section.” She said in a long, serious tone.
I glanced at her and asked again, “Why didn’t he try to become the number one if he’s so tough and well-respected?” I turned my gaze back ahead, careful not to bump into anything.
“I don’t know why he hasn’t tried to become the number one at Taesan High,” she replied.
We continued walking toward Taesan High, and as I noticed the increasing amount of graffiti on the walls, I knew we were getting close.
Before long, we stood in front of Taesan High and entered.
I could feel the stares and glares of many students from every corner of the school.
I paid no attention to it, assuming it was because of the recent events that happened.
We walked to our room and opened the door, greeted by our classmates.
A guy shouted, “Zero!” making everyone turn to look at us, grabbing all their attention.
“They seem happy to see you’re doing well,” Miyuki commented from behind me.
I stepped further into the room to avoid being heard from outside as the noise from our classmates grew.
I walked over and sat on the table in the middle of the group, looking at them one by one, knowing they had questions in their minds.
They asked me plenty about how I was feeling and about the injury to my head. I answered their questions to keep them quiet.
They were relieved to know I was doing fine, and seeing their concern brought a smile to my face, something I didn’t expect.
Suddenly, the door swung open, and we all turned to see who had entered.
The guy scanned the room until his eyes landed on me, staring seriously.
He spoke while staring at me, “Are you Zero from first-year section Y?” His tone remained serious, as if he had something urgent to tell me.
I stepped down from the table and stood straight, answering, “Yes, I am. Do you need something from me?” I asked, locking eyes with him.
He answered my question, saying, “Come with me, Kizaki is summoning you right now.”
I wondered who this Kizaki was since I didn’t know anyone by that name, so I decided to ask him.
“Who is this Kizaki you’re talking about? I don’t know anyone by that name,” I asked again, as his expression shifted into one of slight confusion.
He replied, “Kizaki is the first-year representative of Taesan High.”
I was shocked by what he said, realizing that the first-year representative himself had come to find me. Now, I wouldn’t have to go through the trouble of searching for him.
I spoke again, saying, “Lead the way, I’ll follow you,” as I placed my hands in the pockets of my slacks.
The guy turned around and began walking out. I followed him, leaving the room, when Miyuki called out to me.
I looked back at her, and she said, “Be careful, Zero. Remember what I told you.” I nodded at her before stepping out of the room and closing the door behind me.
