Chapter 24

3rd Person Pov
Solstice and Luan were now alone. Both of them were roaming around to check if everything was okay. After checking everything, they made sure that the guard wouldn't spot them being together since they prefer to keep their relationship private. Both of them agreed to that.

They went down to the parking lot and immediately entered the car. They planned to go on a drive date since they like going somewhere else, and they decided to find somewhere with a perfect view for them to go stargazing.

Luan opened the door for Solstice, and he motioned his hand towards the seat inside to sign her to take a seat. With a smile on her face, Solstice gladly accepted Luan's request to sit down.

Luan closed the door and walked over to the other side of the car, then entered, sitting in the driver's seat.
Luan placed one hand on the steering wheel and the other hand was on Solstice's thigh, which gave her butterflies in her stomach.

Luan looked over to Solstice, smiling at her genuinely, “Ready, darling?“ He asked her to make sure that she hadn't forgotten anything or to make sure she was already comfortable and ready.

“Yes, I'm ready," she replied with a smile, and Luan gave her thigh a squeeze, which made Solstice turn red.
“Then let's go,“ Luan said as he started the engine. They were just looking at the view of the beautiful lights in the city. They can see people walking around the city; some of them are going home, and some of them may be going somewhere else, like work or somewhere to eat.

“Look, this view is really beautiful," Solstice said while she was looking outside through the window. “Can we open the window?I feel like I'm going to vomit,“ she asked in a low and sweet tone to Luan.

“Sure darling, I'll turn off the air conditioner, “ Luan reached for her head and patted her head. He pressed something to turned the air conditioner off. He stopped the car in the side and reached for the window to Solstice's side then rolled down the window, letting the fresh air enter the car.
“Feel good now, hm?“ he asked, concerned for her wife. He doesn't want her to get sick on their date today. He must take good care of her.

"Yes, I'm feeling good now," she said with a bright smile, looking around at the scenery.

“Darling, I hope you'll like this date and I'm sorry if it's not good like the other couple's date,“ he sighed, gripping the steering wheel. He was a bit disappointed in himself because he thought the date was not good enough.

“The date is really good and this will be the best date everyone could have,“ she said to show him how good the date was. A date with Luan Devlin was best for her.
“Really?“ he asked with a happy tone to her, knowing that his wife liked the date today.

“Yes, it's good, darling.“

While they were driving around, they saw a place, maybe a hill. It will be a nice view for them to look at the night sky full of stars and with a moon.
Luan parked the car in the entrance to the hill. They planned to walk up there since it was not really far.
"Let's go now," Luan said, exiting the car first. He went over to the other door and opened it. He held Solstice's hand and led her out of the car.

They were walking now up to the top of the hill. They will stargaze there. Luan was holding a basket like a picnic with food and a blanket for them to sit on. Since Luna's hands were occupied by the basket and a bottle of water, he asked Solstice to hold onto his shirt while they walked up.

Solstice was gripping Luan's shirt like a child that doesn't want to lose her parent while walking outside. For Luan, walking against gravity was nothing, but for Solstice, it was hell. She's not that strong like Luan, especially with her legs. Her legs were always weak.

Luan stopped and looked back at her. He saw her panting, and her legs were shaking. Without hesitation, he immediately let go of what he was holding. Luckily, there was no food that got wasted, and the water was safe inside the bottle.
He immediately carried her in a bridal way and scanned her, checking if there was a wound or if there was something wrong with her.

"Darling, next time, tell me if you're having a hard time; if I hadn't looked back, you'd probably get hurt, and look, your legs were already shaking," he said to his wife, clearly concerned and worried.

"B-but," she was cut off by Luan, saying, "ah, darling, listen to me and no buts."

"Okay, okay, chill, darling," she giggled, placing a hand on his cheek and pecking it.
Luan brought her up to the top of the hill and placed her down slowly, letting her stand up and letting her place her hand on a tree for her to support herself while standing.

“Are you fine?I'll go get our things," he said as he kissed her forehead and walked away to get the basket and water.

After he left, Solstice was just there, looking around and noticing the starry sky, which was full of stars, and the enormous brilliant full moon. It was bathed in light.
Solstice flinched when she suddenly heard Luan. “The moon is really beautiful, right?“

"Yeah, and the sun too," Solstice said, which made Luan let out a chuckle.

It's like both of them were complimenting themselves.
