Chapter 81 Blossom Love

Amelia's POV
The ray of the bright morning sun permeated into the room and dwelled on my face, and it seemed to arouse me from my sleep. My eyelashes trembled a fewer time before I was able to my eyes. My gaze fell on the unfamiliar ceiling and my lips curved to a wide smile. I tossed the duvet cover aside and yawned loudly while I stretched. Buzz! Buzz! The ringing tone of my phone jarred into the silent room, and I quickly crawled toward it and picked it up from the nightstand. Gazing at the caller ID, the smile playing around my lips could only grow wider. I put my bottom lip in my mouth as I picked the call and pressed it to my ear, “Let me guess, you're just getting off the bed?” he tested, and I rolled my eyeballs, “No, you're wrong, I'm still in bed” I told him honestly, and I could feel him sneering relentlessly already, “I'm right, babe, it only means you're just waking up, isn't it? I just knew it” he taunted. Furthermore, I twitched my lips and scoffed, “Are you still going to greet me good morning or continue to tease me, Mr. Desmond?” I raised a question in a slightly grim voice, feigning annoyance. “Oh… Good morning, my darling. I want to believe you saw me in your dreams” I grinned, sneaking out of the bed, “Guess what?” I asked him, “Your Granny has inquired about the man behind your glowing and would love to meet me as soon as possible,” he said confidently, and I couldn't stop myself from laughing out loud, “Come on, Desmond, not that,” I said to him after I had stopped laughing. Immediately, he exclaimed loudly at the end of the phone and conjectured, “You found your mother?” I clicked my tongue and shook my head, “No, but let me tell you already. Kiara is now here with her son,” I dropped the good news, smiling and sitting my ass on the dressing stool. “Whoa, this is great news, indeed. So, you wouldn't have to sleep in the same room with Mr. Alexander anymore, isn't it?” he examined, “Of course, I passed the night in the guest room” I said, “Thank goodness. Finally, I can have a relaxed bedtime” he proclaimed, and I just smiled, understanding what he meant with his words. “Alright, we'll talk later,” I notified, “Okay, babe. I love you,” he said sweetly, and I could feel my cheeks heat up instantly, “Yes, thank you,” I uttered in my lowest voice. “Come on, let me hear the same from your mouth too” he persuaded, sounding terrific. “Bye, Desmond. Later” I said quickly and hung up directly. Lowering my phone on the dressing table, I stared back at my reflection and beamed. I can't just deny what I feel toward him anymore, and to think that he reciprocated every bit of bit, I'm always delighted. After Granny, Desmond is the second-best thing that has ever happened to me.
I walked down the hallway and passing by Mr. Alexander's room, I could hear the loud cheerful voices of himself, Kiara, and their child. A joyous smile emerged on my face, what a complete and wonderful family. I feel so happy for them, after a lot of dilemmas, they eventually get to be together as a family. Descending the stairs to the kitchen, I smiled widely upon seeing Miss. Marian alone in the kitchen. “Good morning, Miss. Marian,” I greeted heartily, walking into the kitchen. She properly turned around to face me and glimmered, “Morning, sweetheart. Did you sleep well?” she asked, wiping her wet hands with a napkin. “Yes, ma'am. How about you?” I asked, finally standing beside her. “Hmm…yes. But you see, I kept dreaming of you and Kiara” she expressed with a sluggish smile dwelling on her lips. I grinned, moving closer to her, “Really? What's the dream about? You wished to give birth to a set of twins too, isn't it?” I interrogated keenly, peering into her eyes. “Not again, Amelia. I already have twins, two beautiful grown-up ladies” she told me, looking quite significant. I stared at her face for two minutes and then asked curiously, “But where are they? You never told me about this before, Miss. Marian,” I blurted out, “Let's not talk about it now, Amelia, but you need to listen to my dream about you two” she began again, putting on her charming smile that lit up the kitchen. However, I wasn't listening to her again as her voice trailed off. Learning about her twins all of a sudden seemed to grow suspicion in my heart.
Kiara and I stand next to each other and beaming and stretching forth our two hands toward the confused Aiden, “Come on now, Aiden, come to mommy” Kiara compelled with a bright smile on her face, “No, Aiden, I'm your mommy. Come to me” I also exhorted, muffling my laughter. The little cute looked more confused as he clung to his father, who in turn glared coldly at us, “You both should stop this now, you're frightening the poor kid” Mr. Alexander half-yelled, sounding rigid. Kiara and I glanced at each other and laughed for some time, “How are we doing that, Alexander?” Kiara teased, taking off and sitting beside them on the bed. “You both were portraying like an identical ghost that was murdered by their stepmother” he asserted firmly and we both grimaced slightly, “Ouch, that was huge, Alexander. How can you compare us with a ghost?” Kiara frowned coldly at him, and he just shrugged off and turned to his child, “Look Aiden, this is your mom with black hair” he told him while pointing to Kiara beside him and then faced me as well, “And this is your mom twin sister, call her…” Mr. Alexander was saying, “Second mommy” I chipped in, blinking my eyes. “Why not third mommy? No, my son will only address you as Auntie, Auntie Amelia” he said with a mocking, tugging out his tongue at me.
I just scoffed at him and went to sit down on a close-by stool. “Don't mind him, Amelia” Kiara said with a laugh. “Daddy, why is she looking like my mommy?” Aiden challenged, staring at me. “Because they are twins, baby. They are born on the same day, the same time, and everything” Mr. Alexander explained, “What a poor teacher you've got, Aiden” I taunted, and he swiftly sent me a murderous glare, and it was my turn to tug out my tongue at him, “How about we go out, guys?” Kiara affirmed and suggested, looking at our faces with a beam on her face. “As much as the idea sounds so great, Kiara, but we can't,” I told her, “Look at us, we have had our breakfast, dressed up and all. But we still can't get Granny out of her room, she has refused to see any of us” I explained further, and a shocking silence stretched into the room immediately, “Speaking of us, Aiden is not part of us, so I'm sure Granny wouldn't be mad at Aiden” Mr. Alexander broke off the silence. “So let's take Aiden to her room, she wouldn't dismiss him” he solved, and a broad smile ran across our faces in an instant.
Knock! Knock! “Granny,” Aiden called out in his little voice, but we didn't hear any movement nor her voice from inside. The three of us exchanged an anxious look and I watched as Kiara stooped directly, “Call her out her name again, Aiden” she instructed and suddenly, the door swung open, revealing no other person than her. “Granny,” Aiden called immediately after he saw Granny, raising his head to look at her with a shiny smile on his cute little face. “Oh my little prince,” Granny adored, squatting and carrying Aiden up in her arms, “And I'm your big prince, Granny, isn't it?” Mr. Alexander grinned, revealing his white dentition. “What are you doing here?” she asked rigorously, and I felt my heart sink the harshness in her voice, “Granny…” Kiara began, “You come with me, Kiara,” Granny cut her off and turned around into the room at once. Kiara blinked at us twice and then followed Granny into the room, shutting the door. I puffed out a rueful sigh, and turned to Mr. Alexander, “What do we do now?” I asked him, but he was only gazing at the door. Unexpectedly again, the door opened and disclosed Granny, “Come in” she said flatly, “Me or him, Granny?” I quizzed ignorantly, “Just come in, both of you” she decided and we both smiled as we entered her room.
“For all the pains and inconvenience I might have caused both of you, please forgive me” Granny pleaded guilty, looking from my eyes to her grandson's eyes. Mr. Alexander quickly crouched in front of her and held her hands, “No, Granny, you owe us no apology. Both Amelia and I understood your plight and that's why we don't blame you” he asserted, and I nodded in acknowledgment, “Does that mean you've forgiven me?” she asked in a teary voice. “Of course, Granny, please don't cry” he urged while he patted the back of her hands. “Okay,” she sniffed, followed by a glossy smile. “So, where shall we begin with?” She asked, peeking at our faces. “You tell us, Granny” Kiara uttered, “You both need to get married as soon as possible. As far as I am concerned, I seriously don't like how my great-grandson was born out of wedlock” Granny began, and we all listened to her attentively.
“And as for you, Amelia, I'm sure you are now planning on how to make me meet him already?” she continued, staring at me suspiciously. I parted my lips but failed to say a single word, “Don't worry, Granny, I'll personally invite him over” Mr. Alexander enunciated, winking at me broadly, “You've met her fiancé?” Granny asked with shock in her eyes. “Whoa, you both…” she trailed off, shutting up willingly. “We're sorry, Granny” I apologized, interlocking my fingers nervously. “It's okay, the seed has been done” she mumbled out, “And the last thing is about how to meet your parents, or don't you wish to know who your mother or father is?” Granny tested, searching our faces, but we both kept quiet.

Inside an outstanding restaurant in the city. Desmond and I sat opposite each other, eating our meal quietly, but I could feel his intense gaze dwelling on my face as each second passed by. Shortly after we were done eating, “Amelia,” he called softly, and I looked up at his face with raised brows, “Look at your left” he exhorted, a smirk playing around his pink lips. I frowned and shook my head sideways, “No, Desmond. What trick are you playing this time around?” I asked him with a slight scowl, “Come on to your left, but don't look too fast” he said again, looking serious. Curiosity got the better place of me, and I slowly looked to my left and saw myself in the mirror. “Can you see what I'm seeing, Amelia?” he asked in an extremely low voice, taking my hand in his. I could feel warm fluttering inside my chest while my cheeks flushed terribly. Soon, I watched as he clamped a tiny bracelet around my wrist and then pressed his lips to my hand, “You still gave me a necklace just last week, Desmond” I reminded, grazing a finger around the pretty bracelet, “Someone once said that when you find the right woman, you can never thank her for being yours” he responded, as he continued to hold my other hand. His smile remained undiminished, and his sharp eyes penetrated through mine. He looked painfully handsome. The humbleness that emanated from his voice could make even a day-old baby fall in love with him. Curling my lips and lowering my head, “Kiara?” I heard and abruptly looked up at the caller. It was a man, whose face doesn't look familiar one bit.
