Chapter 17 - Enemy

Bo's POV
I felt someone approaching us with evil intentions as we walked towards where the car was parked. So I told Veera to go inside first in the vehicle with the brats because I would deal with this nuisance. I carefully placed the plastic shopping bags I was carrying on the ground once I was confident they were already inside the car.
"What do you want from me, dog?" I questioned coldly.
In response to the annoyance I stated, I heard a furious growl. The dog gently walked in front of me, revealing a sizeable brown wolf with sparkling pointed teeth, threatening me with its teeth.
"Please be fair. I'm not sure what you're saying, dog. Can you convert into your human shape? Or unless you're frightened that I, a human person, will harm you?" I said as I demanded the dog transform into a human form.
The dog gazed at me angrily before miraculously transforming in front of my eyes. After shifting, I saw a man dressed in ugliness and with the eyes of a beast.
"Do you know fashion? Because your clothes are a little, you know, unattractive," I remarked on his bad fashion sense.
"Shut up, corpse!" yelled the dog, furious.
So he knows I'm a vampire? I'd be shocked if a wolf can't recognize their long-time enemies. It's been a long time since I've been face to face with an adult wolf, the last time when someone attempted to attack us as we fled town. My first confrontation with a large dangerous wolf in the deep wilderness was both memorable and terrifying.
I merely smirked at his reaction, "what are you offended about? I was only telling the facts dog," I answered sarcastically.
"I said shut up! The way I dress isn't the problem here corpse," the dog commanded.
"Hmmm... you're right Dog, that's not the major issue, so can you repeat what you growled minutes ago dog?" I demanded.
"Where are the kids?" he questioned again, this time coldly.
"Dog, I am still single you know I don't have any kids yet, please don't joke like that let's be serious what was the question you asked," I answered, not believing his statement and instead seeing it as a joke.
" I wasn't kidding, but I suppose you were confused by the remark I made, so let me rephrase it," the dog replied seriously again. "Where are the children of your older brother Daji Fiadh Nacht?" he questioned again, this time using my brother's name.
Again, I claimed not to know and was perplexed by what he asked: "huh? What do you mean my brother's kid? As far as I recall, he doesn't have any children with his wife; if Daji has any, he would notify us straight away."
"Liar! Where are the kids Corpse?" the dog asked again, not believing what I was saying and attempting to bite me.
I instantly moved aside to shield myself from him and to avoid getting harmed by his dog claws.
"Hey dog, you're getting more violent, but I wasn't using violence!" I remarked, attempting to remind him not to be so rude and aggressive.
He didn't respond to me and just proceeded to assault me from all angles, which was why I was already irritated with this dog. So, because you asked for it, it's not my fault if you get severely injured.
Without hesitation, I grabbed his face and raised the dog's body higher. Whether the dog was heavy or not, it was simple for me to hold him up, gripping his face harder. He attempted to flee, but he was now imprisoned in my hand, which was holding his face.
"Let me go, bastard!" he yelled, demanding that I let him go.
"Why would I let you go, stupid? It's your own fault for getting me furious; I was chatting sweetly to you, but you're the one who viciously attacked me after I said stop," I responded angrily, reminding him whose fault he was in this predicament.
"Well, you're lying, therefore you deserve to be attacked!" he snarled back in an irritating voice.
I just laughed at what he said "Me lying to you? Why would I do such a horrible thing? Dog, I am an honest human," I responded innocently.
It was his time to sarcastically laugh at me. "You a human? Don't joke nonsense, Corpse, you will never be a human; YOU ARE DEAD AND A MONSTER!" he said, taunting me.
"Ha! Oh really, Dog, what about you? You are A MONSTER, just like me, so don't speak those words to me since we are the same MONSTER in the eyes of an average human being," I remarked.
"I am more nice than you, Corpse that enjoys deceiving its prey, and when you succeed, you ultimately consume their blood till the blood on their body runs out." The dog continues to try to intimidate me.
"Well, we are cleaner to eat our prey than you dogs, blood and body pieces are scattered around, like yuck ew if I see that scene I am going to throw up in shock and horror and you are spookier when you shift, especially with the blood soaked face and mouth? MONSTER," I make a comment, describing who is deadlier and nastier in eating the prey.
When the dog didn't respond to what I said to him, I smiled mischievously at him.
"Oh, you can't say anything anymore, my doggy? Because you can't really deny it, Vampires are neater in-" before I could finish what I was trying to say, someone unexpectedly tried to attack me on my back, but I instantly managed to avoid it, and my prisoner got away, but I'm not concerned since I already severely injured him through my fingers before I could go of his face.
"Why are you late, bastard?" Doggy 1 reprimanded his comrade, who had rescued him from my entrapment.
"I'm sorry, I was trapped in traffic when you phoned," doggie 2 says, apologizing to doggy 1.
"You're usually trapped in traffic, moron!" he muttered to his partner."Anyway, kill this corpse and we'll locate those brats."
Ha! Being overconfident could kill you doggy.
That's the end of it. I'm already furious. "Doggy, you're being unfair to our game; having a partner is not in the rules," I said coldly again, staring at him with hard eyes.
"Monster-like us is widely renowned for violating the laws or not obeying them entirely," Doggy sneered.
"Don't worry; I don't follow the rules either, so it's fair," I added quietly.
After repeating those remarks in hushed tones, I walked rapidly towards doggie 1 and doggy 2, grabbed both of their arms, and attempted to throw them to the ground in a surprise assault, but I was unsuccessful.
"What now, vampire? Where was that fearlessness you were bragging about moments earlier?" Doggy 1 teased.
I didn't listen to what he said instead I counted slowly in whisper " one"
"Stupid why are counting? Are you counting how many seconds you are going to be alive?!"
"Two"
" Let's just kill him immediately for us to go home "
" Three"
" You are right it is useless to wait for what his next move"
"Four"
"Arg, why can't I move?!"
" Me too, my body went hard, I can't move it!"
" Five"
' Goodnight doggies'
