Confrontation

Chapter 69: Confrontation
Fera’s POV
“Good morning, Miss Fera.” Baldo greeted her as he stood beside her bed.
“I want to leave now.” She dry voice has returned, the chill that it brought was there too. I little glee Baldo felt when he confirmed that she was finally back.
“I have arranged the bills, should I wait outside?” He answered and she nodded, he walked back out of the room and she change her clothes with the clothes he brought.
She was wondering, why Lora didn’t come to get her.
Without further orders, they drove away from the hospital. “I want to see, Fred.”
He immediately turned to the other lane and drove to Fred’s penthouse. It seemed quiet and calm in his pad.
“Are you he’s inside?”
“He knew that you’d come for him.” She went out of the car and entered flawlessly into his penthouse.
As she reached his room, she didn’t bother knocking and harshly opened it. She stepped back enough to reach Baldo’s gun behind her. “Miss-”
“Shh, wait outside.” And she entered his room. He was peacefully sleeping in his bed and half naked.
“Your sleep is envying.” She spoke enough to wake him, he stayed unmoved and pretended to sleep.
“Aren’t going to get up and say welcome back?” She asked and prepared the gun.
“I am deeply hurt that you weren’t there to witness my victory.” She said and walked toward him.
“Weren’t you there? Or you were watching the whole show, the show you created.” And she shoots the pillow beside him, without a second. Fred was standing beside his bed across from Fera.
“Good morning, I may greet.” He said with his annoying smile.
“Nothing good since you pulled the strings you tied to me and make me a character of your opera!” She said and pointed that gun at him.
“Wow, how did you know?” Her head flared up soon as he said those and even chuckled.
“How dare you!”
“Look at you now, you owe me a thank you.” But she ran near him and pointed the end of her gun at his forehead.
“I owe you nothing! You destroy my trust! You destroy me!”
“Because you weren’t supposed to trust anyone in the first place! You know we don’t do that. I destroy your fantasy, yes but I brought you back to reality, does it hurt?” She pushed him to the wall and held his neck using her other hand.
It was his first time seeing Fera in that fury. And all he could comment, amusing.
“I asked you to go back multiple times, but what have you done? You refused all over again and again. You pushed me to do this, this is your choice, not mine.”
“I didn’t know you mastered the art of flipping favor, does flipping tables to your favor your talent? How dare you put the blame on me when it was you who put me in that situation, you manipulated me and revealed it to the crowd! You bastard!” She said on his face and he almost closed his eyes when she screamed.
“No one is innocent here! Yes, I did that, my fault, yes! Could you blame me when I have no other choice? I needed to provoke you, the war is fast approaching and your father’s enemy knew that I am alone! I need your help. No, you need my help, this wasn’t my game. You asked me to step in case you want a break but you’re ditching me. You were planning to live away from your real life and what? Leave everything to me? You wish I am not the only Fuentes here to suffer the curse of being a Fuentes.” He lost it too. He had his reason why he did that. She let go of him and stepped back.
“Not reasonable enough to ruin me like that! You can always ask me to work with you but you do that instead of having a simple talk.” She said but Fred only raised his eyebrow.
“Really? I was asking you to speak and cooperate but you never did!”
“I can win the war without exposing my father! It was you who choose to do it brutally! Don’t throw the blame on me, I AM THE VICTIM HERE!” She pointed the gun at him again.
He raised his hand knowing the gun was loaded.
“You can kill me, you need me.” He said confidently.
She pulled the trigger without even a second thought and blood from his shoulder started bleeding.
“Few amounts of blood loss won’t kill you, right?” She said and turned her back.
She left the room and eagerly wanted to leave the penthouse while Baldo was following her.
“How’s everything, Baldo?” She asked when they got into the car.
“Fragile,” he meant the Corporation.
“I want to visit mom and dad first.” He nodded and drive to their grave. She walked into the hallway with a flower in her hand. She opened the door and went inside, where her mother and father were.
“Hi, I am seventeen now, grown up I think.” She said and paused a moment. “I was done crying. I won’t be crying anymore I promise. I may disappoint you but I won’t be making you guys proud. I decide to do everything my way now. I guess you are right dad, being weak doesn’t really being weak. Being weak was letting things happen in your life and losing that quickly. I became weak when I started using my heart into everything wrong.” She placed the flower on their gravestone and smiled.
“I guess I need to go back on track and do what I should be doing.”
“Little Fera dies here now, as I walk out of here. I won’t be the same anymore. I should accept the life you gave me. I am Fairly Raliya Fuentes. I’m sorry if I failed you and I will fail you still. I can’t be the perfect daughter you wish. No angel will rise in hell.
