Chapter Forty-three

Inside the steel cage, Lyra and Ylarry were both awake, and were more awakened when they heard someone's loud footsteps going towards them. They thought that it was a guard, but they were wrong. It was the new and unjust king of Antipatris.
Seeing him, the lovers were not so surprised as any other couple in the voluminous kingdom. They thought that he would let them out of the steel cage, because certainly, they believed that they did nothing wrong against him.
"Please, Kesrick, I know that you're not so cruel. I believe that you have a heart and you can feel compassion, so please, I'm begging you, let us get out of here!" Lyra implored.
"Oh! Lyra, it's nice to see that you're both awake now. But what? Are you begging me? Did you not remember how many times I implored you to give me another chance? But what? You'd chose this futile man!"
Lyra was shocked! She could not believe that everything that was happening was all caused by her. Did she mean to fall in love with Ylarry and not with Kesrick? Certainly not! It was just Kesrick, who was always following her.
"Kesrick, you know that I didn't mean to hurt you. So please forgive us if I did something wrong," Lyra cried. "I'm willing to sacrifice myself, but please don't hurt my husband."
"Lyra, please don't say that. I loved you more than myself. I can't live without you, so please don't do this," Ylarry said.
Kesrick witnessed the sweetness that was mediating between Ylarry and Lyra, which caused him to become more envious. He wanted to get their tongues, or kill them in order to stop their theatrical words.
"You said that you could sacrifice yourself?" Kesrick asked. "Yes! You can sacrifice yourself right now for that futile man, but it's too late, Lyra. I don't love you anymore! I should love Laurel more than you, because she has never dared to hurt me, but what about you? You're just giving me pain every day! So there's no point in sacrificing; you'll die with him!"
"O Kesrick, please don't do this to us. Just kill me if you want, but please, don't take Lyra with me!" Ylarry implored.
"You're so sweet, but I'm sorry, because your sweetness will end here. I will be killing you now!" Kesrick exclaimed. His loud footsteps can be heard as he goes out of the room.
At the same time, Ylarry and Lyra could do nothing if their time had come. Perhaps they will meet each other after death. They know that Kesrick is mad at them, even though they are not doing anything wrong against him. In contrast, he was the one who did many wrongs towards them.
"My love, if this is the last time I can gaze at you like this, I will be happy that you became a great portion of my life. Thanks for everything you've given to me. All I really know is that I love you until the end," Ylarry said.
"I love you more than anything else. I remembered many things that happened in our past. I know that it's an immense love that I felt for you, because even the first time I saw you, you had already made my heart thump with delight. And if this is the last time I see you alive and breathing, I'm happy that you've been with me too," Lyra replied.
Their worlds suddenly tottered when someone enters the room where they are. The well-trained guardsmen and battlers who caught the couple from Phrygia, and they are now opening the cell to get them out of the cage—not because they will be free, but in order to face their doom.
Lyra knows not to fight against those battlers, because she's getting weak with Ylarry, she can do nothing but let them brighten her with her lover in the courtyard of the palace.
Many people are looking at the couple. Their eyes sparkled with something unpredictable. Certainly, it wasn't compassion, because what they believed was that their king had a good plan to do to them. They also know that their amourette is forbidden and nobody can escape their punishment for breaking the law of the kingdom.
The guardsmen separated Ylarry and Lyra from each other. They place them on the guillotine! They know that it's their last and they breathe it with a smile on their pitiable faces. A priest without head! Prolific blood spurts from their necks, and their heads are thrown together in the courtyard for all eternity. The course of love never runs smooth!
A dirge was played after the execution. It seemed that the kingdom of Antipatris was covered with sadness. There's no more enthusiasm in people's, and they don't know the exact reason why. They realized that two people who truly loved each other could face everything, even death.
"Justice and Equity!" They shouted without being aware of it. They didn't know what they were doing, but one thing was certain: they created compassion for Ylarry and Lyra. But what else can they do? It's too late now, and even if they kneel down, they can't bring back the lovers from the world of the living.
After Ylarry and Lyra died, the whole kingdom of Antipatris turned dark, and the people didn't know why. Until they perceived that Zadiv (the God of goodness) was indeed the God of love, and he descended from heaven to punish those people who didn't know how to love.
In just the blink of an eye, many things changed. God Zadiv makes those bad people disappear from the kingdom. Even the jungle of Kacatulam, which is the bureau of all sorrow, was buried in the ground. The event was tragic for those who didn't love, but the rest of the kingdom believed that it was necessary to cleanse Antipatris from all evil that had occurred.
The higher controls the lower; the unjust king of Antipatris was discrowned in just the blink of an eye. He wasn't shocked like anyone to see himself in a very poor condition. His sacrifices were for naught, and he could no longer feel sorrow in his life because he had been beheaded and buried with everything he owned.
Everyone who was left lowered their heads underneath Zadiv's feet. They show their respect to their powerful God by praising and adoring him, but most of all, they are afraid and don't want to be buried in the ground either. In two shakes of a lamb's tail, everything didn't come back to its old identity again. Nobody knows what happened to God or where he went. But they know he's so powerful. A God who's merciless to those merciless, kind to those kind, and loving to those who are loving.
The clouds of Antipatris, where Castillo de Saat was erected, became higher than they were. It shows that goodness is very difficult for Antipatrisian people to attain. Because those people are always infected by their wicked flesh, whereas the demigods of goodness are always good.
Inside the castle, Zadiv appeared in the hall where Al Zhein, Heshnok, Elyza, Felix, Sander, and Lystra were gossiping about his marvelous works. Seeing him, they simultaneously stood up and showed respect.
"My beloved demigods, I am pleased that you are doing your promised task, but it seems that you have forgotten one thing." Zadiv said while walking towards them.
"What's that, Zadiv?" Felix asked.
"Son, please practice respecting those people who are older than you, especially your God," Elyza reprimanded.
"Felix, I know that you know what I mean," Zadiv replied.
Felix began to search for something which the God of goodness was telling him, but he failed, and he just perplexed. Eventually, he remembered that his brother and Lyra were abducted by the king. Felix had forgotten to tell his family those things because he was too busy ruling the land of Phrygia and also his girlfriend.
He knelt down and cried. "Please forgive me. I didn't tell my family about what was happening to my brother. I'm such a reckless man who wasn't considering Ylarry as a part of our family!" Felix repented.
"Why? What happened to your brother?" Elyza asked.
Felix stood up and replied, "He and Lyra were abducted by Kesrick, who was just veneering, but the truth is that he was so bad to arrest my brother and his girlfriend without any reason."
"And why did you let him do that?" Elyza asked.
"There's no use blaming each other, because everything had already happened, and Ylarry had passed away with his beloved Lyra. Currently, the kingdom of Antipatris is lamenting the deaths of its unjust people," Zadiv explained.
"What!" The whole castle was shocked when the demigods simultaneously exclaimed. "Ylarry and Lyra had passed away. How did that happen so fast? And who did it?" They thought
"They were executed by Kesrick," Zadiv replied.
The demigods thought how careless they were because they were not aware of the happenings in their protected kingdom. At the same time, the sadness can be seen on their faces because of Ylarry's death. There are many things that happened in their past with him, and it's difficult for them to believe that those things would be left as memories. They are remorsing that they let him live in Phrygia with those ordinary people, and they thought that everything would be better if they just let him continue being a deity of demigods and spent more time with him.
"Oh my God! It was all my mistake, because we had not examined his personality thoroughly. I could not believe that he could kill my grandson after everything," Al Zhein said.
"No! Father, it wasn't just your mistake, but mine, because even we hadn't noticed the bad demeanour of him. We all thought that he was so good because he killed the demigod of wickedness for the kingdom. Indeed, the search for the next king of Antipatris isn't over yet," Heshnok replied.
"You don't need to search for someone to poss the throne, because the man that you have been searching for a long time is just here. That is Felix. So if you want to prevent the kingdom from being demolished by rivalries, you must crown him and let him rule justly," Zadiv said.
"Thank you so much, Zadiv, but I'm not deserving of the crown, especially since I was the reason for my brother's death. I don't know if people can accept me as their king. Please Zadiv, I beseech you to bring them back to life," Felix implored.
"Felix, their fate is their doom, and no one can change that. You don't need to be sorry, because it was not your mistake. Go to your beloved kingdom and show the people that you are deserving to be their king," Zadiv commanded.
"And always remember that where there is love, there is no darkness." After saying those words, the God of goodness suddenly disappeared from the spot where he was standing.
"So, what are we waiting for? Shall we just drown ourselves in sadness because of what happened to Ylarry?" Lystra asked. "I'm sure that he's now with God Zadiv in heaven. So, we must follow our God's order, so that everything will be fine."
"What else can we do? Everything had happened and it came out from our God's lips that my son's fate was his doom. We better prepare to go down to the kingdom, so that Felix will be crowned as the new king of Antipatris," Heshnok said.
After Heshnok said those words, the hall of Castillo de Saat became empty again. The demigods of Phrygia went to their palace, while Felix's parents and grandfather went to their rooms to prepare for his coronation.
Felix can't believe that his father would say those words after many bad things that happened, and he caused one of them. He's grateful that blood is thicker than water and that they didn't blame him for what happened to his younger brother.
