Chapter 46 Biddings

The younger man appeared too and snorted, “But that beauty is such a waste tho, if only she were a human, I would have asked her to be my girlfriend.”
The girl just shook her head, “Yeah, you and your playboy skills. You never pass any woman in every creature,” She then looked at me, “I wonder what’s her fur color when she shapeshifts?”
She then approached me, “Blue? Black? Brown? Oh, and can we experiment on her first?”
The beautiful woman who was just watching everything in silence now stood up and the air changed. Everyone got quiet as no one dared to speak up. The level of her authority was so bizarre.
“Speak.” She ordered, and I ignored her. No one could order me like that. I would never let anyone do that.
She hummed a tune “She’s fierce and has a face.” Said the woman, walking around me and grabbing my chin to make me look at her. She then gave me a crooked smile, “I hope we can work together as a team.”
Instead of replying, I spit on her face and smiled at her. “This place will be burned down to ashes.”
The leader and the other members of the Fowler gasped, “Madam!”
The woman stopped them, and grabbed a tissue to wipe her face, “It’s alright. She’s cute.”
She then glanced at the wall clock hanging by the door and called on two men and ordered, “Looks like it’s time. Take her now.”
She then glanced at the wall clock hanging by the door and called on two men and ordered, “Looks like it’s time. Take her now.”
I blink, knowing they will put me out now. Meaning, my perfect time to escape. The two men then put on a mask on my face and I let them direct me outside the room. When they grabbed my chains, I quickly sunk my teeth into the men’s arms and they yelped in pain. I jab our stomach and weaken our knees, it didn’t affect much as the men then put a cloth on my mouth and eyes and dragged me out of the room.
I could barely even feel my feet now, realizing I may be drugged a bit that  I couldn't even dare to run away.
I could barely even feel my feet now, realizing I may be drugged a bit that  I couldn't even dare to run away.
From afar, I could hear the yells of people and our excited cheers as we got nearer.
“Ladies and gentlemen, this is our last and most special item for today!” I heard a man speaking from it.
Just then, the two men who were dragging me removed the cloth from my face, and I was met with a hundred people in front of me.
I realized I was on the stage along with the emcee beside me, now in the auction officially. A spotlight flashed on me and I adjusted my eyes at the sudden brightness.
“Representing you, a very rare creature. Have you watched the movie Twilight?” The crowd yelled in answer and the emcee laughed, “Well then, you must be aware of the werewolf's appearance and this woman right here, is a she-wolf! ! But what’s more important, this woman right here, is an alpha. The very first female alpha in our world!”
The crowd gasped, some even started whispering.
“Don’t believe me? Then this mark on her face is the proof!”
They all went silent, staring at me until they all cheered again.
The emcee gathered all the screams and announced, “The bid starts now!”
I watched everything in horror with only one thing in mind. I want nothing but to burn down this whole building, along with its people. My fists clenched tighter and I gritted my teeth.
I watched everything in horror with only one thing in mind. I want nothing but to burn down this whole building, along with its people. My fists clenched tighter and I gritted my teeth.
“$1000.” A man yelled.
“$2000.”
“$3000.”
It go up and up, rising in each as the humans raised our bids on me.
That damn Fowler. That damn Druscilla.
“So, anyone higher than $500 thousand dollars?”
The emcee asked when ten minutes had passed and the bidding was still ongoing.
I had experienced more dangerous situations in the past than this, but this makes me sick to my stomach.
I could go through bullets raining on me, have werewolves all fight with me, but not this kind of bullshit.
I noticed the crowd was all wearing masquerade masks and suits and ties so I figured it was an auction for the rich people. For politicians, for those in higher ranks.
“Higher than $800 thousand?” Asked the emcee again as the bidding gets high each minute.
“Higher than $800 thousand?” Asked the emcee again as the bidding gets high each minute.
I stood still on the stage, wanting to kill everyone in sight out of range but I held on. I have to take this calmly and escape as soon as possible.
“$900!”
“$1 million!”
“$1.5 million!”
Said old men who were ravaging me with our eyes. I looked at them disgustingly. I couldn't help but think how stupid everyone my looks. Are rich people nowadays so lonely that they pay a literary million just to have me? No offense to them, but I know I’m worth more than any gold or diamond combined. I am priceless. No money would ever be worth it.
“Okay, last bid for tonight? 2 million?”
“2.5 million!”
“3 million!”
“5 million!”
Looking behind me, I saw the door close and there was no opening. With my hands still tied in a chain and my feet not regaining any feeling, I was about to run when I heard someone yelling from the crowd.
“10 million.”
Said a dark and husky voice.  Gasps came from the crowd and even I tried to look at the crowd. I squinted my eyes and I managed to see in the middle of the crowd, the man holding a glass of wine.
I couldn’t make out his face as he was wearing a black masquerade mask and he stood up for me to see him. He doesn’t look that old… He had a smirk on his face as if teasing me.
Wondering who this person was, I gritted my teeth. Knowing who the man is is not important. I really need to get out of this place as soon as possible.
“$15 million.”  Said another one. From the front line of the crowd, a tall and masculine man. Unlike the other man, this one was looking at me straight in the eye, completely focused.
“$40 million.” Interjected the man who was smirking at me earlier.
“$100 million.”
Looking at the back and forth, I could see the tension filling the entire room as both of the men dared each to go higher.
At this point, both of them are not just competing for me, but competing for our ego and pride and to see who will rise higher than that. Pride.
“$1 billion.”  Said the serious man, still looking at me with a focused look. The smirking man’s jaw dropped and he cursed under his breath, now utterly lost.
