Momently, Lucelle arrived at the rough terrain which had different sizes of sharp rocks. Next, she smashed the boulder into hundred spiky pieces and controlled them mid-air with her fire magic, making it looked like radiant needles from afar while waiting for the arrival of the Chieftain. Lucelle deliberately fired the radiant needles-like spiky rocks when the Chieftain had only a small distance from her. The chieftain stopped when he detected her actions and went into a fighting stance. Using his heavy sword, he slashed the spiky rocks that were coming onto him, then dodged some of them if he could find a chance to do so. Nevertheless, because Lucelle's attacks was agressively continuous, the Chieftain was truly occupied to the point that Lucelle managed to change the trajectory of one of the spiky rocks and the Chieftain's back was stricken with it. The Chieftain screamed in anguish when the spiky, yet caustic rock was strucked at his back. He completely made sure that no more spiky rocks were on the air flying onto him before pulling the spiky rock out from his back. And it only doubled the pain he felt once more. After pulling the spiky rock out, blood was potruded from his wound. Then, he looked at the spiky rock that was covered with his blood and after that, he threw it back to Lucelle. "Damn... This attack of him contains a much larger magic force than the kick earlier," she whispered. Lucelle, who had now a quarter of magic power left and her blazing red cloak that wasn't impregnable anymore, wasn't confident on successfully blocking the spiky rock. Thus, she got hit on her right shoulder. However, that result was lucky even for her because if she didn't barely dodge it, she would become half-blind now as the original trajectory of the attack was her right eyes. "How lucky, human!" the Chieftain exclaimed and began to rush forward, "But don't be too glad because I will butcher you now. Then taste my strongest attack!" Then dozens of slash were materialized, aiming to Lucelle. Thise slashes contained strong killing intent and abundant magic power that made Lucelle shivered. Lucelle was left with no choice but to use a forbidden magic spell. She wouldn't dare to use if not neccesary or not in a life-and-death situation, since it had a backlash toward the caster and the backlash would depend on the duration of the attack. In another words, the longer the duration, the greater the backlash. It could be minor injuries of the body, internal injuries, becoming crippled or even death. "Oh, spirit of fire! With your radiant power, I implore you to give me a hand! Burn this sacrilegious being in front of me! Heavenly Whirling of Fire!" This attack of mine matters my survival. If even it could not kill him, then that's my fate, falling on the goblin's hands. If that will happen, there's only one thing I'll regret... not be able to avenge my loved ones... A 5-meter tall and a radius of 3-meter of whirling made of fire, a violent and destructive one was created. It was just like a tornado, aside from it was fire and not wind. Lucelle weaklessly and unknowingly sat down on the floor. She didn't even have any strength left just to remain standing. She was totally drained down after releasing her remaining magic power. And she hoped this could end the life of the Chieftain. The heavenly whirling of fire was aggressively flew to the Chieftain's direction, while the paths it passed with were totally burned down. Even the already withered trees couldn't escape from turning into ashes. And even Lucelle, the caster, felt the scorching heat from it. Chieftain tried to slash the violent whirling of fire, again and again, as if it could blown away. But he failed. The more slashes he tried, the more the heavenly whirling of fire become destructive. Few seconds later, he was already inside of it. He couldn't be seen at all in the outside. Maybe, he was already burned down and turned into ashes, or maybe he managed to resist it? No one knew, even Lucelle. After a while, the heavenly whirling of fire finally calmed down. As it disappeared, was also the appearance of a burned figure. "Finally!" Lucelle happily exclaimed. But was shocked after hearing the words, "R-really? Do you really think your fire could complete kill me?" "N-no...! It can't be!" shouted by Lucelle with a scared voice and looks. Chieftain moved his body and started walked, step by step, "Well... It was really fierced and hot, I won't deny that fact. It even shattered my 3-layer shield and made my heavy sword barely burned and scathed. But you see... I'm alive, still breathing unlike what you wanted." "N-no...! D-don't come near me! Don't...!" Lucelle screamed as she crawled backward. "Enough talking! It's time for you to die!" Lucelle closed her eyes as she was scared, waiting for the heavy sword to pierce her body. "Is this really... my end...?" she mumbled. She was still waiting. But nothing happened. She slowly opened her eyes. And the scene she saw was quite unexpected. With her fortune or maybe the Chieftain's jinx, a spiky boulder who was a little bigger than the one Lucelle smashed earlier was happened to fall down on top of the Chieftain's head and a meter away from Lucelle. Maybe because the impact of my violent whirling of fire made the spiky boulder trembled and moved, that's why it fell down? Well, whatever, as long as there was no Chieftain anymore. The Chieftain was accidentally crushed under the spiky boulder, while Lucelle was fortunately still alive. She couldn't believe what she had seen, "The Chieftain that I was trying to kill hardly, his strength that I couldn't fathom... He was crushed to the point I couldn't see his body due to the boulder? Just like that? Is this what they called, 'Do good things to one another so that good things will also come to you'?" Lucelle sighed with a relief. "I saved those children, so perhaps this is my good thing?" she whispered. Her clothes become drippingwet due to sweats and nervousness. She even thought that was the end of her life, but it wasn't. The God and the Goddess really didn't give up on her. "Maybe they knew that I still have a lot things I need to do... especially avenging my family." Lucelle's thought. _TRAVANGEL_
