Chapter 22

Lucelle's hands clenched into fists, but she controlled herself from punching him, "Then... why did you let me kill those goblins when they were your subordinates? And what's your purpose of letting me come here? Is it really just to save these children?"
"HAHAHA! Those goblins doesn't even deserve to be my slaves, let alone be my subordinates!" replied by him with an evil laugh, "Regarding you, you are the perfect sacrifice to completely awaken me, while those children that I sacrificed so far were just to help me loosen the seal of the sealing magic array. I even taught one of the sorcery goblins how to draw a sacrificial magic array, you know, just to sacrifice those children!"
"So that's why there was a 2nd-circle sorcery goblin among them..." she mumbled.
"Perfect sacrifice? I'm just new to this village so how come you know I am your perfect sacrifice?"
"Well, shall I really say? Ah, yes! If that's what you want," he uttered, "I noticed the first time I met you that you are still virgin. Moreover, now you have a 3rd-circle magic level which is more than enough to awaken. Even your blood makes the seal loosen a little bit."
Her cheeks became reddish as soon as she heard the word, 'virgin'. Damn, old man!
Then, she saw that there was almost no blood on the poniard he licked earlier. It was like it was new bought.
"Then wha---"
She was halted by him.
"Enough talking! Don't think that I don't know you are just buying time through asking me a series of questions," then he appeared in a blink of an eye in front of her. "Well, it won't really change anything, you... being a sacrifice!"
Lucelle was surprised, especially when he removed the hood of Lucelle. She couldn't stop him as her hands were shackled by shadow chains.
"Woah! As expected, you are such a beauty!" he exclaimed, "But sacrificing you to awaken my real body is much better!" then he grabbed Lucelle's hair as he started walking to the place where was the black coffin.
"Wait... Don't hold my hair! It hurts...!" she screamed with pain.
"Damn! Only half of the poison remains in my body till I will completely removed the poison. But I need to continue acting and will find a chance to finish him!" Lucelle's thought.
"No matter how noise you make, I won't care about it," he said, then his gaze turned to the children, "All of you, follow me or else I will this saviour of yours!"
His threats made the children follow him silently. They had no choice since they wouldn't want their Big Sister to be killed because of their stubbornness. Moreover, they were also sure that once they wouldn't follow him, they would also be killed.
After few minutes, they arrived where the sacrificial magic array took place and where the 8 goblins were killed.
Chief Domino, no, Lord Dominus put down Lucelle at the center of the sacrificial magic array and so, the children. Then he ordered her to put her own right hand mid-air. After that, he skillfully cut Lucelle's palm and blood flowed out till it dropped onto the magic array. Lucelle resisted the pain.
Just like Lucelle, he also ordered the children and cut their palms with his poniard. But the children let a scream of grief out their mouth.
Then Lord Dominus laughed devilishly when he noticed that the sealing magic array was broken, "Finally, I can now use magic power! The next step is to sacrifice these humans through the sacrificial magic array, and after that, I will return to my soul state, going back to my real body who was slumbering in the black coffin. And I will be completely awakened. I will wreak havoc to the humanity!"
Meanwhile, Lucelle took the chance of removing the poison and now, only a quarter of poison left.
"Alright. I can finally fight. This percentage of poison left can't hinder me from breaking free these shadow chains," she whispered.
After secretly breaking the shadow chains, she gave the children the 'run away and I will distract him' sign. They nodded as they understood what she meant.
Because Lord Dominus who was busy talking and laughing and completely guardless, he got hit on his head by the ball of flame Lucelle conjured.
She shouted to the children, "Now! Run as fast as you can! Escape from this mountain as I will block him!"
"Yes, Big Sister! We will wait for your return!" then the children immediately ran as if a huge monster was chasing them down.
Turning her gaze to Lord Dominus, she saw that he was unscathed aside from the slightly burn of his hair.
"He's strong! I wonder what's the amount of magic power have he unsealed...?" she mumbled.
With annoyed look, Lord Dominus yelled, "How dare you tricked me?! You even spit your fire onto my head?!
"Wtf?! Is he serious about the word 'spit'?! Did he underestimated my fire too much or he is just underestimating me?" another thought of her.
Lucelle materialized three blazing arrows and she let it flew to Lord Dominus. Even though the blazing arrows were fierce and destructive, he still blocked them with ease using a shadow shield.
She felt a killing intent behind her and then, she found a huge shadow spike ready to pierce her back. Despite wanting to activate the blazing red cloak, she knew it was too late.
"I'm still too weak. I still don't have experiences fighting with someone," she uttered in a low voice.
She involuntarily closed her, waiting for the shadow spike to pierce her body.
But, she only heard a loud slashing sound in front of her, not the sound of piercing of shadow spike onto her body.
As such, she decided to open her eyes.
One thing for sure, she saw a man and the scattered pieces of shadow spike on the ground.
She couldn't believe what she had seen.
It was...
Feronia Kingdom's First Prince...
