Chapter 24

"Let me intoduce myself before killing you. I, Lord Dominus, am one of the 72 lord demons, ranking 69th, of my beloved empire located at the southeasternmost of Fishona Continent. I was sealed by a powerful magician since, maybe, five decades ago or so. But now, I am awakened once again to bring havoc to the humanity!"
After introducing himself, he charged forward with the purpose of attacking them intensively. His already-sharped fingernails became five inches long.
Prince Armando looked at Lucelle, "Just support me from behind, while I will attack him head-on."
Is he really that strong? She thought to heself.
She, by her own self, couldn't kill Lord Dominus, for sure, even without the injury on her chest. Only cooperating with the prince could she have the chance of killing Lord Dominus.
Two is better than one, just like what others says...
Lucelle had no choice, but to nod as a reply.
Prince Armando smiled, then he also rushed to the enemy as he focused his magic power to his body and to his excalibur.
While Lucelle felt speechless as to why he was smiling to her. Then shook her head as she got rid of her thoughts. After that, she began casting a huge flame of ball meant for Lord Dominus. After all, she needed to abide by her promise to support the prince.
Prince Armando's strikes against Lord Dominus were too strong and fierce, but Lord Dominus managed to counter his strikes. When Lucelle's ball of flame went into them, Prince Armando focused his magic power to his left foot and flew back away enough to not feel the impact or the scorching heat of the ball of flame, while Lord Dominus used his horns to create a shadow barrier that enveloped his whole body.
A loud bang occured when the ball of flame and shadow barrier collided into each other. As soon as the shadow barrier had a sign of breaking, Prince Armando rushed once again as he swung his excalibur.
Due to being surprised, three of the Lord Dominus' fingernails was cut down, but he managed to regain his senses after that. He used his long tail to try piercing Prince Armando, but Lucelle noticed that and then quickly casted a fire shield to protect the prince.
Prince Armando was confident taking Lord Dominus head-on, not only because of his power but also he got supported by a beauty who protected him from possible danger.
The he gripped the hilt of his excalibur tightly as he injected a lot of magic power. After that, he jumped and used his excalibur from atop of his head to vertically slash Lord Dominus, who also prepared to materialize a sword made from shadow and to use it against the excalibur.
Once again, a collision happened. But now, the shadow sword of Lord Dominus vanished as it couldn't resist the almighty power of Prince Armando's excalibur.
Lord Dominus was shocked, he couldn't believe that his sword made from his shadow essence would vanish just like that. Then Lucelle took Lord Dominus' abruptness into her advantage. She thoroughly pierced his back with the use of flaming arrows. As the flaming arrows exploded just like what happened to the Chieftain earlier, Prince Armando also managed to slash Lord Dominus's front body obliquely.
Again and again, Prince Armando was busy swinging his excalibur while Lord Dominus was completely helpless by the consecutive attacks.
Knowing that Lord Dominus was heavily injured and had a possibility of dying soon, Lucelle secretly ran away without Prince Armando knowing. If ever she would stay for too long or after Lord Dominus would be killed, perhaps Prince Armando wouldn't let her go.
At least, I fulfilled my role supporting him. Next, I should go down from this mountain and meet those children.
In the midst of her running, she noticed strange movements and after that, she heard a lot of noises. She stopped running and hid herself next to the tree.
Armored men...? No, more like Feronia Kingdom's cavalry... Maybe their leader is Prince Armando? Damn...!
Lucelle couldn't count their numbers, they were numerous. Moreover, they were strictly encircling and guarding the possible way out.
As expected, the sudden appearance of Prince Armando was really strange. He already schemed everything... How calculating of him!
Trying to sneak out from their senses, Lucelle failed when one of the armored men accidentally saw her.
"There she is...!"
Almost all of the scattered men had now forming a large group, ready to prevent her from escaping the mountain.
As she had no choice, she created a fire bomb and it exploded enough to disturb them and enough for her to find a loophole. No one died, but few were injured.
When she discovered a path where no one occupied, she rushed through without a second thought.
But out of the sudden, she squealed in pain when she got shot by an arrow in her forearm.
Damn, why did I forget to activate the red cloak?! And there is even a professional archer among them who I can't find its exact location. Hmmm... I need to escape from here as soon as possible!
Then she remembered the scroll she got from the children, a teleportation scroll to be exact.
She took out the teleportation scroll for her thorid ring.
This is a random teleportation scroll, but it's still better than getting caught or dying by these bastards' hands.
I just regret that I couldn't say goodbye to the children. But maybe it is a best decision since interacting with them might bring trouble to their lives.
And... I just hope I won't get teleported into dangerous places. Of course, one of them is the Feronia Kingdom...
