Chapter 28

"What should I do? I have written evidences here and I captured those witnesses alive. Hmmm... Should I do bring them to the authorities?" Travis asked himself, though he was referring to the guards indirectly.
"D-don't do that! We implore you. We know we are wrong, so please!" both of them begged as they pulled their spears away, "If you do that... not only we'll lose our jobs, we'll also imprison and even executed...! We are begging you not to that..."
"Oh? What wrong did you do?" Travis said, pretending that he was not the one who said their wrongdoings.
"W-we are also guilty of doubting the identity of the messenger of knowledge and not letting him enter the town through the entrance we're guarding," the Manillo answered.
"We will do anything as long as you won't spread the information you got," Pingson uttered.
"Anything? Really? Are you telling the truth?" asked by Travis, teasing them, "I think I heard earlier the one can't enter the town without showing an identity tag...?"
The Pingson waved his hands sidely, denying Travis' words, "N-no, no. You heard it wrong, we did not say anything like that. You can enter the town even without an identity tag."
"Hmmm... Can I bring my lady companion?" Travis asked them, referring to Lucelle.
"This..." the mustache guard looked to his comrade and they nodded to each other. They had no choice but to let Lucelle enter the town or else, they would be the one to suffer if their deeds got out, "Yes, yes! You can bring her along with you. It's not problem."
"If you only you let us enter the town earlier and to not provoke, you wouldn't suffer like this," Travis uttered with seriousness, at the same time, he was smiling..., "Anyway, thank you for letting us enter the town!"
"It's our pleasure to have the messenger of knowledge in the Freed Town!", they exclaimed as they respectfully bowed their heads and gestured their hands to the inside of the town,  "...and of course, along with your lady companion!"
He threatened them. Is that his what-so-called ability as the messenger of knowledge..? Lucelle thought as she walked with him inside town.
Too many huge buildings and different shops could be seen inside the town. There were also beggars and elderly on the street as well as warriors with their weapons and magicians with and without their magic staffs. And of course, maybe thieves, murderers and other evil groups were lurking around. Afterall, this town was called Freed Town, meant for all kinds of people.
And maybe because it was located at the border of the two kingdoms, there were many people at the street who were selling and trading different kinds of herbs, potions, weapons and other items.
It was definitely a bustling town!
As they were walking, a young girl carrying white flowers in the basket rushed over them.
"Would you like to buy some of my jasmine flowers? It's only 1 bronze coin!" innocently exclaimed by the young girl.
"Oh?" Travis uttered and the gazed at Lucelle, "Would you like some?
Lucelle replied, "I don't thi---" but quickly changed her words when saw the young girl, showing begging-like eyes as if she really wanted Lucelle to buy her flowers, "Fine. Just give me one."
"Yes, I will!" the young girl happily responded as she took a single circle-shaped jasmine flowers.
"No, make it eight," Travis added.
"Yes, handsome sir!" the young girl jumped with joy.
"So many... Why?" Lucelle asked Travis.
"The remaining flowers are for my other friends," Travis grinned.
"Oh...!"
But Travis secretly and devilishly smiled and hand a thought of, "I want to see the faces of those two boys wearing flowers. Kekeke...!"
After picking 8 pieces of jasmine flowers, the young girl handed them to Travis, who also gladly took the jasmine flowers afterwards.
When Lucelle was about to give the young girl the payment, a single silver, Travis stopped her, "Let me, a man, pay the jasmine flowers."
Lucelle let Travis do whatever he wished to. Acting like a gentleman, huh?
"Here..." Travis gave the young girl a silver coin, "Keep the change."
"Really?!"
Travis nodded as he smiled.
"Thank you! Thank you very much?!" happily exclaimed by the young girl, "Then I will not disturb your date, then!" then ran away from them.
"W-what?!" Lucelle screamed out of disbelief and shock.
Travis laughed, "Don't mind her words. She's just a young girl whose thinking is not mature yet."
Lucelle exhaled as she looked the young girl's back, "I guess so..."
But surprised when she saw the poster that was dropped by the young girl.
It was...
A wanted poster...
And the portrait of the wanted poster...
A woman with an alluring face... a blonde hair... wearing an elegant dress...
And the bottom had words...
WANTED
Dead or Alive!
BOUNTY:
A Thousand Golds
And

It was her...
It was her portrait...
Lucelle's wanted poster.
