I Princess Neoma drove at a medium speed following what his King Father advised her, she, being new to driving a car. By that, it was almost seven o’clock in the evening when he reached the Abbie’s restaurant in the city. She was already guessing that he might have left already. Two minutes and it is seven o’clock in the evening already, how would she expect that an Alpha King would still wait for her? She rushed inside the restaurant letting her vampire's eyes scan like a laser machine everyone inside the restaurant. After seeing the last person at the far end side of the restaurant, Princess Neoma’s shoulder fell down out of disappointment. As she guessed, the Alpha King already left the place or maybe did not even come to see her. She was just playing along and she readily believed him. Frowning, she walked fast, out of the restaurant. She was walking to the parking lot when he noticed a man in his dark blue polo shirt and khaki trouser leaning comfortably on the side of her car, while his arms were folded across his chest. She furrowed trying to recognize him. Her frown turned to a sudden excitement as she recognized who he was. She walked fast to her car and put her arms too across her chest mimicking him, while her right eyebrow has been lifted. “You are just on time,” he then said looking at her with his most dashing smile and Princess Neoma’s heart melted together with the disappointment she felt just a moment ago. With her heart beating fast, Princess Neoma suddenly became timid, speechless. She merely looked at him. “Hey, are you mad?” he said as he approached her. As if awakened Princess Neoma hastily shook her head. “No, I am not.” “Did you think that I left already or did not come at all?” he asked while pushing gently a ray of hair on her face. He looked at her tenderly. Princess Neoma was in awe. “How did you know what I was thinking?” she furrowed at him. “It was just a guess. Was my guess, right?” “Yes. I thought you left or did not come actually and that you just played me last night.” “Ouch. That’s an awful judgment about an Alpha King like me,” he said grinning. “Would you want to have dinner here by the way or do you want somewhere else?” he added, asking. Princess Neoma looked inside the restaurant first before she replied, “The place is crowded. I hate crowded places. Can we find a restaurant with fewer customers?” “Of course. Would you want to join me in my car or I will drive your car? I will just let my driver follow us,” he then ask and Princess Neoma suddenly stopped from entering her car and looked at him. Princess Neoma realized that it will be difficult indeed if they will be in a separate car and much awkward if she will be the one driving the car. “You can drive my car,” she then said as she threw her car key to him and walked around to get inside the car through its passenger side door, which has been opened already by him. II While he was driving, Princess Neoma was silent. He will from time to time glance at her. After a while, she broke the silence between them. “You haven’t told me your full name yet,” she said. “Just call me AK, short for Alpha King,” he replied that made Princess Neoma furrow her forehead. “Are you joking at me? I wanted to know your full name. What is the name of your Kingdom, if you are an Alpha King?” she retorted somewhat irritated. “Be patient. I wanted some mystery around us to make things exciting. You will know later on, who am I really,” he said again, glancing at her and smiling widely. Princess Neoma sighed. “If you will not tell me some important details about yourself after we have our dinner, then this will be the first and last that we will be seeing each other,” she said firmly and the Alpha King chuckled. “You are so serious, my Princess. Relax, okay? Let us have fun. You will know everything about me, I promised.” He side glanced at her and smiled again. Princess Neoma did not reply at him, she just side glanced at him too. They became silent for a while. “Where are you taking me, by the way?” all of a sudden, Princess Neoma asked. “In my favorite place. Wait and see. I am sure you will like it,” he said while smiling mysteriously. A sudden surge of doubtfulness crept through Princess Neoma, which did not pass through unnoticed by the Alpha King. “Do not doubt my intentions, my Princess. My intentions to you are pure and sincere.” To princess Neoma’s astonishment, he then said as if guessing again, what she was thinking. “Can you read my mind?” Princess Neoma asked with knitted eyebrows. “Sort of,” he replied honestly. “How?” She lifted her brows, showing her disbelief. “You opened your mind to me.” “I did not," she said denying sternly. “You did without noticing it.” Princess Neoma furrowed more and thought how on earth she opened her mind to him. She was said to be the Suprema Queen as stated in the prophecy because of her powerful mind, but how can this man, be able to easily invade her mind?” she thought wondering. “Our heart and mind have connections with each other. If you will just concentrate, you will penetrate my mind too,’” he said again as if answering her question, which was in her thoughts a while ago. “Connections?” she asked with complete wonder. “Yes, connections.” “Why is that so?” “It is a mystery that you will learn later on the moment I kiss you,” he said softly but it was like a sound of thunder that roared inside Princess Neoma’s ears.
