"So what you are saying is that Helen used a spell to capture Kyle? It wasn't like it was bound to happen to whoever gives her the crystal ball?" I asked.
"Yes. So now we need to find Helen and get the crystal ball back." Denver said.
"You said you weren't sure if it would work. You sound pretty sure to me." I said to Denver.
"I sound sure because that seems to me like the only logical way to get Kyle out. I said i'm not sure because it wasn't exactly said, the way to release him." Denver said.
"There's a way to get Kyle back?"
We both turned to see Delanie standing not so far from us.
"You found a way to bring him back and you both wanted to keep it a secret from me? What did you want? For me to continue wallowing in drepression?" Delanie said to us.
"It's not what you think Delanie. Denver was just worried about you. He isn't sure if breaking the crystal ball is the way to get Kyle out of it." I said to Delanie.
"Fine." Delanie said. "But don't try to hide such information from me ever again." she added.
"I promise I won't." I said to her. Delanie turned to Denver and I nudged him with my elbow.
"Yes yes. I won't keep any details about Kyle from you." Denver agreed.
"Good. Now where can I find that goo for nothing scum of a witch?!" Delanie shouted her question. One could clearly see her anger.
"Woah. Just calm down a bit okay? Control your anger. It's one of the things Helen uses to her advantage."Denver said to Delanie.
"I think I will have to fight her. Her death is very important and if that doesn't happen then she won't stop until she gets her revenge against us for breaking into her hut and distroying the crystal ball. I'm sure that Kyle won't be the only one stuck in it till now." Denver said.
"I feel so too." I said.
"Any idea where this witch Helen lives?" Delenie asked Denver.
"Not a clue." Denver answered.
"Then how did you know it was a hut that she lives in?" Delanie asked him.
"Look. I can't point out her exact location and that is the problem. Everyone knows she lives in an old hut but the exact location she can be found is still a mistery. You can't find her unless she wants you to." Denver explained.
"That's it then. I guess my hope has already been crushed before it could even have time to grow." Delanie said and sat on the ground.
"There is still something we can use to track Helen down." Denver said.
"What?" I and Delanie asked in unison.
"The amber moon." Denver answered.
"The amber what?" I and Delanie asked, again in unison.
"The amber moon. It's in the witches realm. That's the only place we can find it. But then agan, it doesn't exactly need to be looked for." Denver said.
"So in other words, it's an actual moon but amber?" I asked Denver.
"Yes. Denver answered.
"Great. Let's go get Kyle now." Delanie said to us.
"We can't go right now. It has to be by night. Luckily for us, tonight is one of the nights for an amber moon to rise. It's right before the dark moon though. So whatever we need to do tonight should be done wisely." Denver said.
"Now we have to wait till night. Please let's go inside so you can eat something now Delanie." I said to Delanie.
"No." Delanie told me and went into the cottage.
"Please Delanie. Just eat something." I begged her.
"Not until Kyle is back with me." Delanie said. "If that is your final decision then I'm afraid you can't come with us." Denver told Delanie.
"Why can't I?" Delanie asked him.
"You don't expect me to take a sick weak girl with me to the realm of witches do you? Your death will not be by my hands." Denver said.
"Fine then, if that is the way it is then I will eat." Delanie said and went to get herself food from the pot.
After dishing it out, Delanie brought the full plate with herself out of the kitchen and stood in front of us eating.
"Could you at least sit down?" Denver asked her.
"You had your way in making me eat. Don't think you can decide what I will eat for me." Delanie retorted.
We watched Delanie as she chewed and swallowed every last bit of food on the plate she help and gulped down a full glass of water.
"There. I'm all done now." Delanie said.
"Good girl." Denver said and smirked.
Delanie returned to her room with an annoyed look on her face. "Thanks for your help Denver." I said.
"Don't mention it." Denver replied. "Just doing my job as a good soon to be husband and brother in-law." Denver said, slyly.
"I think you are allowing your brain imagine things too much." I said to Denver with my face turned away as I smiled.
"Oh really? So then you don't want me to propose? I can settle for that you know?" Denver said to me.
"You don't have the guts to propose to me." I said to Denver.
Denver held my waist from behind and whispered.
"If, let's say... I proposed to you, What would be your answer?" Denver asked me.
"It's something you'll never know till you try." I answered and removed his hands which were wrapped around my waist.
"My crazy girl." Denver said to me, smiling.
"My demon." I said and laughed. "Just stop messing around and lets wait patiently for the night time to arrive. Luckily we are close already.
"And you are ready for this?" Denver asked.
"Of course I am. I will do anything for my sister's happiness." I replied him.
(DENVER POV):
...Later that night...
"Okay. We are ready. You can open the portal now." Melanie said to me, holding Delanie's hand.
I nodded and turned my focus completely on opening the portal. It took a lot of my strength but I finally did it. We all went through the portal and found ourselves in the realm of witches.
"This is what it looks like?" Delanie asked me.
"Yes." I answered her.
"To be honest I expected something better." Delanie added, still looking around, unimpressed with all that she saw.
"It wasn't made to please you or anyone else." I said to Delanie.
"I still expect better. This place is faded and boring." Delanie said.
"Can we just get on with the search already and forget about the forset?" Melanie said to both I and Delanie.
We stopped talking and focused on our goal.
"The amber moon is full already." I stated.
"How are we going to find Helen with it's help?" Melanie asked.
"Easy. The part untouched by the amber moonlight." I answered.
"I just hope she isn't home by the time we find her. Her presence would make it difficult to smash the damn crystal." Delanie said.
"I hope so too." Melanie said as we all moved about in search of the dark part of the forest.
After a very long two hours of pointless searching we finally came accross Helen's hut in the dark spot of the forest.
"Do you think she is inside?" Melanie whispered a question.
"There's only one way to find out." I replied and teleprted myself into Helen's hut.
She wasn't even there.
I reappeared where Melanie and Delanie were waiting for me and ended up receiving a dirty slap from Melanie.
"What was that for?" I asked Melanie, holding on to my cheek.
"Don't ever disappear like that again." Melanie said.
"Was she in there?" Delanie asked me.
"I think we would have known by now if she was. We have to go in and search for the crystal ball before she returns from wherever it is she went to." I said to Melanie and Delanie then took us all into the hut.
"Quickly spread out and search." I whispered and we all jumped into action.
"Here it is! I found it!" Delanie said' joyfully.
"Shhh." Melanie silenced her.
"Break it." I told Delanie and she did.
Some sparkling particles flew out then after that Kyle also appeared. Delanie leaped into his arms on the spot and started to shed tears.
"I thought I'd never see you again." Delanie said to Kyle.
I looked over at Melanie. She was finally happy and so was I but... All of a sudden my instincts started to kick. Something didn't feel right at all.
I used my demob eyes to view Kyle and I found out it wasn't Kyle at all, but Helen in disguise.
"Delanie! No!" I shouted but it was too late and Helen turned her into stone while they were still hugging.
Melanie looked like a bucket of cold ice water was just dumped over her head. Helen returned to her real form.
"Looking for this?" Helen asked and took out the crystal ball.
"Delanie!" Melanie screamed in agony.
My powers took off on it's own and I dived at Helen. I possessed her body before she even knew what hit her and I tore her into shreds from the inside. I solidified and was covered in black blood. The crystal ball broke but nothing happened. Kyle didn't return.
It's all my fault that Delanie is gone too.
Melanie fell to her knees.
"I... I lost everything." Melanie said. I rushed to hold her then I heard Helen's voice after.
"Good luck getting married to your own sister." Helen stated and filled with anger I got to where her head was lying and squashed it under my foot.
She doesn't know what she is saying. Now she just wants to fill our head with stupid ideas. Fool!
(MELANIE POV):
...Two Months later...
"Mom?" I said, standing behind a tattered looking woman.
Denver was there with me as the woman turned around and indeed it was my mother.
"Mom!" I exclaimed and rushed to embrace her, teary eyed.
Mom also burst into tears when she saw me.
"Melanie... I missed you and your sister so much. I regret my passed actions. Please forgive me." Mom begged me.
"Where is Delanie?" Mom asked after we parted from the hug.
"Delanie is dead..." I hesitantly answered.
"What?!" Mom exclaimed and broke down in tears.
She stopped crying and looked strangely at Denver who she seemed to have just noticed.
"Melanie..." Mom said.
"Yes?" I answered.
"Where did you meet this man? Get behind me." she said.
"I don't understand mom." I said to her.
"He is a demon now get behind me." Mom said.
"How did you know that?" I asked, looking confused.
"You mean... You already know?" Mom asked me.
"Yes. I know he is a demon but mom, we are in love and need your blessings too before we get married.
Mom looked as though I just stabbed her in the back.
"No... No! No! This can't be!" Mom kept shouting.
"Mom what is the problem?" I asked her, still puzzled.
"You can't be with him!" Mom exclaimed.
"And why not? Because he is a demon? Mom, I have made up my..."
"He is your brother!" Mom yelled and I froze.
"What did you just say?"
