Chapter 38

Armies and Guards shielded as the orcs run onward to the townlet before the castle. Fires above the tower and house - it kept spreading as the winds strive to pull them away. The orcs raise their war hammer and big axes downward to smash the shield vertically. Ogres commence smashing the walls that are structured a century ago that are now ruined by their disastrous invasion. Some guards are ripped open, and chopped making their torsos departed one another and other bodies have occurred crushed like a tomato dressing. Rains of lances above, striking the villagers running from the chaos and then the blade penetrates into their flesh to the skin as it falls above them sans a single protection with them. Some army with glaive and shield, riding on the steed, sauntering to the ogres and orcs to strike back but they were fled away by the heavy hand of the ogres and the orcs stabbed the steed before slaying the rider. Some orcs perished by the sword of a true warrior, jabbed into the chest, and let their blood flow beneath them. A loud clarion of outcries from the survivors, suffering from pain and witnessing horror upon their home. Orcs with war hammers were swinging their weapon right to the head of the villagers breathing still withstood from their previous attack to cease their mouths from wailing for help.
Drops of ashes overhead and they drift high like winter, the other orcs tossing the mischievous children that are not listed to vestal ones to the flames even though they were still breathing and capturing the pregnant woman regardless. Orcs were knocking down the woman by slapping them to settle them in a cage neatly. Orcs with ax kept slashing the neck, arm, legs, and face of the villagers - if they espy someone outside of their home, they will slay them with no forgiveness after slewing the innocents. There are many houses in this village before entering the castle, there are corners, and there are some at the back and front. Orcs are clearing the area if the humans dwell above Leicestershire are truly dead if the others are not yet lifeless - they will chop their heads and body into pieces for supper. The ogres reloaded their catapult to fire once again but this time it will be aimed at the castle.
Defenses upheld the towers not to shatter by shooting at the orcs trying to break down the tower with their crossbow fire. Some orcs were shot in the head, torso, chest, and legs with a plash of gore as the arrow goes into the flesh but other orcs are not.
The lifeless orcs were been stepped on its head and body by their kin - as they all try to stroll and bang their head onto the walls so they can take them apart but it stood tough to wipe out. Some tried to swing their hammer to the walls- slowly will shatter as they saw a slight crack in them.
Even though the guards slew many but they are still outnumbered. The ogres and some orcs left behind were still inside the borders which is the village before entering the castle - still looking for some survivors to kill. Fires everywhere, darkness takes over, blood wherever they go and the ten fighters that Melrys picked were now outside seeing how awful will be their foe is. The village was big as the Median City so it will take hours or maybe days to wipe out the humanity living in Leicestershire. "This is what Willow was talking about eh?" The ninth warrior said with an awkward smile that are concealed with uncertainty. All of the men nodded unhurriedly.
"Yes lad, you five on the right will search for some survivors while we that are left will fight for this kingdom, who is with me?!" Melrys said with an energy that she is fully prepared to fight - before she came into the tavern she is already wearing armor without getting caught by her mother. All of her men raised their swords as an agreement with a yell of glee and assembled to battle for their home. "My lady, it is too destructive out there or in here, do not risk your life, if you perished either your mother, no Royal will rule here, you should be protected me lady" Shanne laid his hand onto her shoulder after the man shouted. They all started to stare at the princess, their brows shoved in nigh to their gloomy gaze and putting their swords back in where they take them out. "He is right, my lady, what if you died or were injured maybe," the fifth man said with a sad upon his visage but beyond was much more deeper than that - they know Melrys since she was held by Leicestershire or since the adolescence days. "It is promising to provide us the quest than risking your life that we can even handle the crisis, My lady" the first man came into the tavern before Melrys with a kind sweet smile. All men agreed with him as well Shanne.
"I will never leave my men behind and let your life throw into the demise pit!" She yelled while pointing at each man with anger that she was not ready to lose them but there is no choice - she agrees but she won't admit it. "At least we died heroically as well the other men who risk their lives to protect the kingdom," The second man said while hiking his arms onto the first man's shoulders. They all said "Ye" with a cheerful laugh eventually. "Can I know all your names first, my fellow man before we battle separately?" Shanne said as one of the men barely will stride forth to the exit while hearing the destruction is still occupied outside. Melrys nodded saying in a sweet tone with a slight heavy accent "The man was once an outsider, his name is Caloys Mckenia" she pointed at the first man before he bowed. "The man beside Caloys is once a farmer and his name is Medrick Galöuw" the second man bowed before Caloys. "The third warrior here is once a great guard above the towers and his name is Skaurel Matthew," Melrys said pointing at him but her arms are not pulled out in the air. "Nevermind, we are wasting time, how about after this chaos, alright?" Merlrys sighed and then let his man walk out of the tavern to proceed with the task that is given by the princess. "We will never let the kingdom down," Caloys said and all of them raised their glaive as they ride on their steed. Melrys bowed before they leave.
Their steed began to gallop separately to find survivors and the foes to kill. The five that including Caloys, Medrick and Skaurel went to every slight short avenue of the village while swinging their sword and commanding their horse to leap as some orcs try to kill them. As the orc raises its ax, Caloys swing his sword fast to his arm where the orc held its ax - before he will be struck by the orc while he was riding on the steed quickly. Caloys chop its arm and the blood of the orc squirt as the ax falls along with his arm. Caloys let his steed gallop to find survivors but there ahead prevail more orcs - he crane his neck to see how many were there to see how he can manage to kill them. On the other side, Medrick only dodges the strike of the orcs, when the orcs leap to smash him down - he stabbed them and pulled his blade out from their flesh between the chest and the abdomen.
From Skaurel on the other subdivision boulevard, he swing his sword forth but not from side to side as he saw an orc carrying a woman. He stabbed the neck after he dodge the orc's swing of his ax, the steed distracted the orc so Skaurel can stab perchance to save the woman. After killing the sole orc with a woman along and then he gets down with a smile and a fatigued face. "Are you alright, lady?" He asked with a smile even though there is blood on his cheeks, he do not want her to be sad so he smiled, and then she nodded rapidly with tears falling above her cheeks. "We have to go, let me assist you" he holds her forearm and legs to ride on the steed before him - he can see she is injured so he performs it carefully. "I thank thee Sir" she bows her head and holds onto the leash as he rides as well behind her. "It is my pleasure to save my kin, Lady," He said while settling down his glaive into the sword holder around the belt.
The steed began to jog as Skaurel shove the legs but not too tough though and the woman clenches right in - ere the horse galloped away where they stood to slay more rivals.
Joldarn the fourth man to find survivors went to the boulevard of Lea avenue to search for some survivors. The trees that were lined up now end up nothing, ashes below and burnt-out trees and houses but memories will stay evermore more than this war between monsters and humanity. He sees only blaze and dead bodies. He took off onto the steed to get on inside the houses and yell "Hello?!" he yell it more than twice. Every pace he strides onto the floorboards - created a creaky noise making himself quiver. Down the stairs, he heard suddenly fleshy sounds through the darkness as he looks down after hearing a disturbance. "Hello? Is anybody there, prithee answer my bothers?" He said in a shaky tone while wielding his glaive tightly as he sinks slowly into the shadow. The fleshy noises he heard earlier started to fade with every step he makes. The moan of a woman he heard at last as he stood above the end of the stairs. It is dark. A deep breathing, terrifying one makes him look at the right side of him but only he can see stands darkness and the light above the stairs. "Help me" a woman whimpered and with a lambent glint he see within the lantern - someone was holding it.
An orc holding a lantern, smiling at him covered with blood, and beneath him it was a woman slightly uncovered - taking the baby out of her from the inside. She was weeping, her fingers are covered with tears from the candle and her hair was cut down by the orc's ax. Joldarn swings his glaive right to the orc where this is the chance to hit while crouching above the woman.
The orcs shove back and then take his ax nigh to the woman's hip. Therefore he swings again with his wrath along with his clench. The orc strikes back and then he moves aside - crashing his blade onto the ax one at a time. The blades or iron clash against each other, the strength pushing in reverse to reverse and the blades grinning one another. Joldarn yelled with his brows shoved in while the orc was laughing with a squirt of blood out of his laughter. Joldarn could not take it so he pushed him and thus he twirl his hand from below to upper and back to the left so he can chip both wrists of the orcs fast. The blade was forged by not their kin but from the Median City - it was sharp that it can slice two cabbages simultaneously. The orc grunted from the pain, losing his hand, and then Joldarn stab the orc's belly to perish soon.
He drops his sword and then quickly strolls toward the woman while he heard a step of the many orcs roaming above them. "Hold on," he said while laying his hands on the ripped-out flesh abdomen but she was not breathing - it was too late, she became lifeless after the short stand-off. He yelled and cried at the same time. The thumps he heard earlier before rushing onward to hers - from fade to not. It was getting closer - he believes he heard his scream but he is prepared to kill more after seeing a dead innocent pregnant woman. He gets his glaive on the ground and then he strides to the stairs to heed many strides of knocks clarion above. He saw a shadow afar the opening, he yelled and then he began to jump and bang his blade on the wall. "Over here!". The monstrous clamor he heeded, it was getting nearer and now he sees them. Joldarn holds his glaive tight and also his emotions from crying and let anger shows itself to save this kingdom for the fight and love he bestowed as long he was still breathing. The orcs push against each other to race who will kill the man first. Blade nigh his chin, sweat drip below the chin reaching downward the blade and as the sweat rolled down - he swings his sword to slash the flesh from the orcs.
Caloys kept swinging his sword from side to side as some orcs tried to kill the steed before him. Slicing the skin, shoulders and thrust the blade right into the face while his steed gallops and dodges the strikes from the orcs. Medrick was surrounded by the orcs afar - blocking his path so he went to the other path. Unfortunately, he was hit by an orc's hammer right to the steed's chest as he steps to the other way which is covered with vines mostly. Medrick fell, firstly his jaw before the rest before him his steed wildly thrown off by the hammer and then his steed died from falling and been smacked hard onto the chest. There are five of the orc and then there are others coming forth to Medrick - he crawled to touch his steed named "Belle". "Belle" he whispered and after he said his farewell to his steed - the orc smash the head of the horse ere him. The hammer was covered with blood, and the face of the steed turned into a dressing, gore, and more flesh all over him and everywhere. He yelled with his tears and wrath - as he tries to stand up, an orc stepped on his back calf.
The orc who had not stepped on him strived to smash him with his ax while the other will pull his other arm. As the orc smashes it vertically with his ax - he moves aside and then takes out his glaive. Medrick stabs the orc right into the eye who will attempt to pull his arm. The orc who stepped on him tried to smash but his calf was still trapped so he pull himself out but he know it will prevail and hurt so badly. "Get the hell out of my home!" He screamed ere taking out his calf - as he pull forcefully, it departed as the orc smash it suddenly. He crawled backward and he heard a swing behind him so he bend down and therefore swing his glaive likewise. Demise stands beside him so he was hit by a hammer because they are too many of them - right in the head.
The other four warriors are still occupied fighting with their crossbows and glaives to defend the castle - while the seventh man died from the spear that is impaled into his shoulder. Orcs nonetheless banging onto the walls, the ground rumbled as the orcs throw another boulder from the catapult with flames. The ogres perform the last blow, the wall nigh the gates shatter and the man above it with bows falls as the rocks fall as well before them. Upon the ground - some orcs died from the collapsed marbles that crashed them. A catastrophic arises upon the kingdom as the orcs, at last, come to raid their last motive before moving to Heloureout. The four men and the other defenders prepared to uphold the entrance with their shields to prevent the foes from entering. Shanne was with Melrys inside the castle hiding from the Queen.
However, several guards find Melrys while the others defend the gate. The Queen was stunned to heed the cries, burns, and screams of the beast. She blames Shanne for letting the monsters in - uninvited, that is why he wanted to be imprisoned beneath the castle. The Queen walks back and forth - thinking about what she will do now while biting her nails rapidly. Melrys and Shanne were hiding in the chambers, behind the shelf that they will never be seen by the patrols, and above the boards, they were crouching. "They are here, my men are dying, you going now without an escort, are you sure about that Willow?" Melrys whispered. Shanne goes out behind the shelf saying "My Lady, you will never fight out there and I will warn the other kingdoms so I can help them and my home" Shanne whispered as well with an impression that makes the princess go frightened when her Mother will be caught her. Melrys stands up to grab his jacket "My mother will punish me beneath where we stood" she whispered and then her tears began to roll down her cheeks.
Shanne lets her go, strolling to the exit of the room to find her mother. Melrys falls and began to whimper under her breath, the tears reach out under her chin, and even though she tries to stop he only do is to refuses. Melrys stands up to follow him after Shanne got out of the room. "Shanne pray thee halt this non sense" Melrys whimpered while tip-toeing forth upon him as she can espy he is almost at the stairway. Her whispers echoed through circumvallate, the vibration and thumps beneath them can heed the other wardens. Shanne looked back, then stroll in reverse, and in the end, he twirled to walk to Melrys's path to reach out for him. "I will never let her bad heart takes over this kingdom" Shanne whispered while pointing his finger onto her chest - not poking her though. Melrys agrees but she does not want to accept the fact it is, letting her tears shift downward and tolerate her fear cascading upon his.
"I am delighted you came back for us Kristinov" the mage said while they are heading to the left alleyway with many trees and old ruinous cottages. The brother nodded unhurriedly with a smile that shows not a true smile - like being a sarcastic mage. "Why this place are overtaken by the nature so fast as the others?" The mage asked, the noise of their steed's gallop gives rise to him disturbed additionally the mage's and Jhàrold's talkative mouth. "Fairies hold the magnificence of their home, if they are gone beyond their existence the place will never be the same, if there are some sole fairies around here, the place will be a slight beautiful" Kristinov answered the question in a deep tone as always while the steeds followed Dusk's paces from right to left and forth.
"Why I was trapped in their world, I meant the other world when they are dead, all the fairies or magical creatures?" The mage asked again, the shadows of the branches covered their shoulders with it, a few leaves create a little circles silhouettes onto their body and hair and the frigid breeze at last faded away as they barely reach the exit. "My Apologies, I do not know what answer I can pass to you," he said while shaking his head from side to side passionless. "Oh it is alright," he said, all of them saw the hills glazed with moonlight and stars. The moment they were in the fairyland, it was daytime but from afar it is gloam as they wander more and more to the exit. The brothers have never seen this bizarre nature that can fulfill any odd or remarkable things within the enchanted places - they both dropped their jaws in awe while moving their eyes from above and so below.
