Chapter 70 The Ultimate Sacrifice

The Dark Lord's servants camped inside the forest, and had many captives who they locked in a cage. And most of them were from Krinxville.
Cassey was tied between two trees with heavy chains which was nearly unlockable. His body was badly designed with bruises and he was weak.
It took His friends until the morning to trace their camp, because they covered their tracks. But they were wise enough to show up at the camp early in the morning when they were all still asleep. They had tents they slept in, so the captives were outside in their cages.
Cassey's friends reached the camp and walked stealthily to a safe covered place where they could hide. It was easy to spot Cassey, because he was in the middle of the camp, he was placed separately.
"There. There is Cassey" whispered Allen. Who started to call out to Cassey. But they asked him to stop,to avoid waking The Dark Lord's servants, it would be terrible if they did.
"I have an idea" said Hornduras, whose blue eyes glittered and immediately, the chains fell off from Cassey, she made him to be awake too, so he wouldn't fall hard. He noticed them, so he gave them a sign not to come.
"What do we do now?" asked Allen.
"Let's go get him, they won't see us, but we have to hurry, my cover tricks won't last!" Hornduras said, so they got out of their hiding place to get him. Alby and Mantis were on alert, so Allen went to help him out.
"Come on let's get out of here"
"You shouldn't have come here, is too dangerous Allen"
"I wouldn't leave my best friend"
"Come on let's go, no time" commanded Hornduras. Allen gave him the Treilz sword and somehow he felt better. Just when they were about to run out, someone called out for help form the captives
"Please help me. Help us, don't leave us" they never minded because they need to find their way out before an enemy wakes up. But the voice wasn't stopping, and they stopped until Cassey heard his name.
"Cassey please…" begged the voice faintly. Alby nodded her head in disapproval, but Cassey insisted. He unlocked the Cage, although he wasn't seeing their faces, but they looked very worn out, that someone who knew them wouldn't recognize them.
It was a male and female,Cassey never thought it would be them. It was Hansel and Helen, they were among the captives! Cassey couldn't believe his eyes, and just when Helen realized that it was him, she hugged her so tightly that Alby got jealous. It was Hansel who recognized him when they brought him in, but he was too weak and faint to talk to him.
"Guys what's going on, Hansel why are you here? What happened? Asked Cassey very concerned.
"This is not good…" Allen said
"Hey! We are running out of time" Hornduras said, mounting on her horse as the others did, Hansel got on Allen's horse and Cassey took Helen.
They rode as fast as they could, and upon reaching some metres away from the camp, there was a shout!
"The prisoners escaped!"
And immediately they heard throbbing sounds, they even rode faster. The Dark Lord's servants were fast enough, they chased them to the fields.
"Stop" halted Hornduras, ears flicked, she sensed danger.
She could feel their taste for blood heat, she could hear their heartbeat for war. It was clear what they had to do now. To kill, no more captives.
The Dark Lord's sorcerer and knights showed up in front of them, and they were all ready. The hordes of soldiers circled around, leaving only their back free, even if they wanted to run, they would block them, so they had no other option but to face it.
The forest itself trembled and gnashed their teeth… if they had any. The fields that waved their grasses and trees stood still, even nature was against it, it wouldn't have a part in the madness. But there stood her beloved children, in the midst of their enemies, so she had to do something.
Orlswen got down first, he drew off his sword, he seemed fulfilled, there was no going back this time. It was a fight till date. They all stepped down and got ready. Cassey helped Helen down.
"This is where it all ends Helen, This is where you go home, don't look back don't come back, never stop running, and never stop fighting, remember, you are your best friend, no one can do that job better than you, you have to leave now" Cassey advised Helen, she just stared at him, and became emotional, she wanted to apologize, But the words were too heavy.
So she just grabbed him and kissed him, it was one of Cassey's best moments, what ran through his mind was, what if it would be his last.
Helen's tears dropped on his face, she couldn't hold back, but this was too much for Alby, she held her chest as if it was hurting her, Hornduras looked at her and shaked her head. Alby too, was jealous that she had to remind Cassey that there was a fight.
"We really don't have time" Alby said, feeling jealous.
Cassey got her off his body and helped her mount on his horse.
"When are you coming?" Asked Helen curiously, Cassey smiled, but it was a fake smile.
"As soon as possible, but don't wait for me" he tapped on the horse to ride off!. He turned around and saw Hansel.
"Hansel, this is where farewell makes the best judge. Till we meet again my friend. You need to go now"
"To hell with farewells" Hansel said courageously, as he drew out his own sword. Cassey didn't say a word, he just drew out his own sword with a quick smile. They faced the war in front of them.
The Trielz sword shoned bright With a sizzling noise. Alby's eye turned blue, and Mantis got ready his staff, Orlswen was always ready, Hornduras improved her power, her eyes in a glitter, her nails got more sharp and longer, her teeth carved out like that of the Lion's and her tail forced out thongs of sharp blades.
The Dark Lord sorcerer commanded the soldiers to attack, and they attacked by their waves, first wave first!
