Martina woke up and saw Roberto laying next to her. His face was next to hers and his eyes were closed. He looked pretty and peaceful as he slept. Martina smiled widely as she watched him sleep. “Why are you staring?” Roberto rolled his eyeballs under his eyelid as he spoke. He opened his eyes and stared right into Martina’s eyes. “You look so peaceful when you sleep. If only you are that peaceful when you are awake,” She answered and sat up. She held her head and closed her eyes tightly as she felt great pain in her head. She opened her eyes and sensed the room spinning. Roberto sat up and looked at her closely. “You should lay back. You have an hangover.” He held her hand, and she looked at him. “I need water, my throat is itchy.” She rubbed her neck as she spoke. “I’ll get you water, but lay down first. If you get out of bed, you could fall.” Roberto got out of bed and walked out of the room to get her water. Martina’s eyes were fixed on him as he walked out of the room, and until he was out, she didn’t take her gaze off him. “Why is he acting so nice?” She uttered to herself, holding her head in pain again. She looked around the room and confirmed that she had slept in Roberto’s room. “When did he bring me here?” She closed her eyes, trying to remember what happened last night. Then she remembered how she got drunk at the party, and how a man tried to take advantage of her. Her eyes widened as she remembered how Roberto grabbed her to himself and pulled a gun at the criminal. Then, she remembered when she puked on their way back home, the way she laid on Roberto’s legs in the car. “This is insane.” She giggled unbelievably. “Bruno and Greco were right after all. He does have true feelings for me. This is so great!” She said to herself covering her mouth with her hand. Roberto picked up a bottled water from the freezer, and reached for a glass from inside the drawer. He turned to walk out of the kitchen when he saw Vincenzo at the door. “Good morning, Mr. Roberto,” He lowered his head, and Roberto bounced his head. “Good morning,” he responded, walking out of the kitchen. “Mr. Roberto, I just got the news that the FBI raided your villa at Southampton.” Roberto halted immediately he heard what Vincenzo said. He turned to look at him and spoke, “How did they know our location?” He asked, clenching his jaw. “I have no idea, Mr. Roberto, but I bet there was a spy. Somebody must have told them something,” Vincenzo responded. “A spy? Among my men?” He tightened his grip on the bottle, squeezing it in anger. “I am not sure, Mr. Roberto. Nobody has a phone to contact anyone outside the house. I don’t think it is one of our men. But we need to be on a watch.” Vincenzo added, and Roberto bobbed. “Find out who it could be and report back to me. They messed up the Villa, right?” “According to what I was told, boss. They did. They always leave a mark, sir.” Vincenzo responded. Roberto clenched his jaw harder and shook his head. “Find out who the spy is. We’ll discuss this well later,” Roberto said and turned to leave. “Sir, there is more,” Vincenzo uttered, and he stopped again. “What is it this time, Vincenzo?!” He groaned. “I wanted to ask how Martina is doing. She wasn’t really herself yesterday.” Roberto heaved a sigh and turned to look at him. “She is fine, Vincenzo. I am getting this water for her. You don’t have to worry.” Roberto turned to leave again. Vincenzo kept his eyes on him until he was out of sight. He wanted to ask Roberto questions, but he feared they would be the last he would ask. Roberto got to the room and saw Martina smiling widely. Her smile caused a smile on his face as he approached her. “Why are you smiling?” He asked her, and she shook her head. “Never mind,” She said as he passed the glass and the cold bottled water to her. She furrowed her brows as she saw how disfigured the bottle looked. “What happened to the bottle? It looks like your stuff .” She chuckled as she opened the cover. “My stuff? My stuff is beautiful. I saw it in your eyes when you looked at it.” Roberto raised his brows as he spoke, and she burst into laughter. “But why does it look like this? You squeezed it, right?” He heaved a sigh and bounced his head. “I got annoying news, and I took it up on the bottle,” he told her. “Annoying news? What is the news about?” She asked, and he shook his head. “You don’t have to worry.” He stood walked to the other side of the bed. “You don’t want to tell me about your mafia operations, yeah? Understandable,” Martina uttered and drank some water from the glass, she exhaled in relief after drinking. He looked at her and sat on the bed. “Well, my house at Southampton was raided by the FBI, and they destroyed some things.” Martina’s eyes widened as she heard what he said, and she turned to look at him hastily. “How did they know your location?” She asked, and he shrugged. “I don’t know. There’s a spy, and I need to find out who it is. It’s confusing because none of my men have cellphones. I’m not sure how it happened.” He sighed, and laid on the bed, staring at the ceiling. “Who do you suspect?” Martina asked, and he shook his head. “I don’t suspect anyone. That’s the craziest part of it all.” “Not even me?” She further asked, and he looked at her for some seconds. He shook his head and looked at the ceiling again. “I don’t know why but I trust you. You didn’t do it,” He replied. “And what if I did?” She asked, and he looked at her again. He was so calm and this baffled Martina. She was expecting him to grab her neck, or point his pistol at her. “Did you do it?” His voice was so calm when he spoke, that her lips parted in disbelief. She shook her head and sighed. “I didn’t.” “I knew you wouldn’t do it. I don’t know why, but you are not a suspect. I just need to find out who it is as soon as I can.” Martina nodded to his statement, and also laid on the bed after drinking enough water. She turned to her side and looked at him. Their eyes locked and silence filled the room. Martina trailed her eyes down to his lips and stopped. She didn’t think twice before moving her head closer and planting a kiss on his lips. “You are troubled, right?” Her breath brushed his face as she spoke, and his eyes closed. “I need to know who did it,” He opened his eyes again. Martina bounced her head and placed her head on his chest. “You will find the person,” she assured. He moved his hand to her head and began to caress her hair as he drifted into his thoughts again.
