On getting to the airport at Abuja, a dark guy with an average height immediately approached them. "My Prince," he greeted with a bow and smiled at Aramade instead. With Prince Ire's eyes turning to Ara's luggage, the guy got the message, immediately requesting to help Ara with her things. "No, no... I can actually manage. It's really not heavy." Ara quickly said realizing the guy could be of the same age with her because of his thin stature and baby face. The guy smiled at Ara instead, insisting on helping with her luggage not because he would have carried it in the first, but because Prince Ire had instructed him to. Ara eventually agreed, thanking the guy a million times and getting the guy to smile widely at her as the two laughed at their drama. Ara immediately looked around not seeing Prince Ire. "Where is the Prince?" The guy chuckled, holding the two bags firmly. "Prince Ire does not have time for all these. He's already in the car. Let's go." They got to where the car was parked and immediately, Ara entered through the back door of the car while the guy went straight to the driver's seat. "Ken, just take us to Dgram's hotel." "Okay sir." Ken replied Prince Ire, starting the car immediately. He drove out of the airport hitting the road of Abuja. Ara began to feed her eyes with the beauty of Abuja and the environment that looked inviting. The houses were beautiful and Ara was hypnotized by them wishing one of the houses belonged to her. She knew just like Lagos, there were also the slum part of Abuja. Depending on the person she was with, she knew the Prince status could only show her the beautiful part of Abuja. The sound of horn coming from the car interrupted Ara's thought and she instantly looked away from the road, only to look up and saw a magnificent building sitting before her. It was an embodiment of beauty achieved with an exorbitant money. Ara couldn't believe one person must have sat down and thought of having and creating something as beautiful and classy as the hotel before her. Ara had never even heard of such hotel before. At that moment, she knew a lot of bigger and expensive places exist but a lot of poor people never heard about them before or even believe in their imaginations that something as beautiful as this exist on planet earth. Immediately, Ara knew five star hotel was nothing compared to what she was staring at. Dgram's hotel was impressively built. It screamed money. Only the rich people could afford it for lifetime. The moment the gate was opened, their car drove in and behind them, two more cars drove in. Ara couldn't believe the handsome guys standing at the hotel gate. Ara, their salary might not even be compared to some people sitting on a chair in an office. Look at them. Clean and handsome. Handsome guys can't be doing this for cheap money. Ara thought in her mind smiling at the beauty buried around the place. Coming out of the hotel building was the minister of education with governor of Lagos State. Ara recognized them because she had not only seen their pictures but she had ushered in an event the two were present before. Behind them were policemen with guns. Not two, not three, but large enough in number as they entered a black car following behind the big cars of minister of education and the governor. Ara was no longer concentrating on what she came to Abuja for. Her eyes was everywhere. Immediately Ken parked the car, beside them, one of the cars that drove in behind them also parked. Ara was shocked. This is Bugatti Veyron! Ara said in her mind wondering who could afford or wasted an amount of one billion naira on a car. Ara was current. She knew so much about these things and Google was always there to shed more light for her. She was eager to see the guy in the car. With her eyes fixed on the Bugatti, she saw how a tall guy suited in black with tiny black shades covering his eyes came down from the Bugatti. The back door was opened and a fair man old enough to be her father climbed down in a long wide sleeve flowing gown called Agbada, and completing it with a native cap on his head. Immediately, a guy appeared from nowhere greeting. "My senator sir. You are welcome sir." Instantly, Ara didn't bother to stress herself. Since he was a senator, one billion was nothing. Some of them have cars even more expensive than that. "Are you getting down or not?" Immediately, Ara turned to Prince Ire. "Em...yea... I'm actually getting down sir." She pulled the door open and got down with Prince Ire. Ara told herself she wouldn't look around again and stop acting like someone from the bush. If the Prince wasn't saying it, she knew he was giving her looks already. "Ire is that you!" Ara heard the senator's voice who paused immediately he saw Prince Ire. "My Prince. Yes, I said it. I can still recognize you even though its been long we saw each other." Prince Ire shook hands with the senator, giving him a small bow. "Good to see you again sir. And congratulations to you on becoming a senator sir." "Thank you my cool guy." The senator laughed, pushing his agbada up. "So good to really see you Ire after years of been in US. I thought you didn't want to come home again. The King is so proud of you. I am too. My great doc--" "Thank you sir!" Prince Ire quickly interrupted, causing Ara to shoot him a look. Ara could sense the senator was trying to say something but the Prince didn't want him to. The senator continued instead, oblivious that Prince Ire didn't want him speaking too much about him. "Its been two years since you came back but I haven't been seeing you because you don't come out Ire. Why? Even though you are here on vacation or you are here to stay with us forever, please come out. I guess you are representing the King at the event right?" "Yes sir." "That's good." The senator suddenly became happy. "Yes! My girl will finally meet you again. She will be at event with me. Please... Prince Ire be nice. You know I trust you." "No problem sir." Prince Ire replied. It was normal for him for some fathers to introduce their girls to him. The senator's daughter was never a stranger to him. Just that, he couldn't deal with the crush. Prince Ire hope the crush would have been erased since its been years they last saw each other. The senator's eyes spotted Ara. He couldn't deny Ara was pretty with curves in the right places. "Hmm..." The senator cleared his throat looking back at Prince Ire. "I won't assume anything since you are still meeting my girl. " The senator said, turning to Ara for an handshake which Ara immediately grabbed with care and respect. "I'm senator Olakunle. Nice meeting you." "It is an honour sir." Ara quickly said, but before the senator could finally release her hand, she felt him tickled her palm with one of his fingers. Ara looked up at him but the senator smiled at her innocently. "I should go. See you my Prince. Will call you down for dinner in two hours time. Take care beauty." The senator left. Soon after, one of the guys suited in black rushed back to meet Ara on the way giving her a complimentary card ordered by the senator to her and ran back. Ken gave Prince Ire the key to the car and left. Both Ara and Prince Ire approached the entrance of the hotel walking side by side. Ara saw a waste bin at the far end for people coming out through the door close by. She excused herself and dump the complimentary card. She better not hold it than let it stay in her bag giving her the thoughts of calling the senator for help. Prince Ire who had been acting like he saw nothing saw Ara disposed the complimentary card, wondering how a girl would actually throw away an opportunity many girls are looking for to better their lives. The moment they entered the hotel building, Ara was conscious of the air conditioner that made her feel extremely cold but she tried not to shake walking as elegant as she could. They got to the receptionist who immediately recognized Prince Ire. "Sir, your room has been booked. Here is the key." She handed the key over to him. "Just one?" Prince Ire asked. He thought his Dad booked two rooms for him and Ara. Immediately the receptionist confirmed just a room was booked for him, he hope there were still rooms available until the receptionist confirmed his fear again. "I'm sorry sir. You know how hard people get rooms if they didn't book on time. None is available at the moment. All rooms are booked. Visitors are coming. In fact, double price was paid for your suite at the fifth floor because the King wanted it for you. But rooms will be free by tomorrow. You can book one now." "The one beside me. Will it be free by tomorrow?" The receptionist nodded. "But that's not a big suite sir. It's one of our smallest and the amount is nine hundred and fifty thousand naira for thirteen days. Are you paying in naira or dollars?" What! Ara screamed in her head. She coughed before Prince Ire could reply. She wondered how much the big suite the King booked must have cost him. In her mind, she knew Prince Ire wouldn't pay for that despite all they said about him being stingy. Nine hundred and fifty thousand naira! That's not a small money. Enough to buy a land. Ara couldn't believe her ears. She wouldn't even want the Prince to pay such amount of money just for her to sleep and wake up. But what was she expecting in a place like this? One room for five thousand naira or what? To her surprise, Prince Ire brought out his ATM card to the receptionist who grabbed it immediately punching the laptop before her. Ara couldn't believe what just happened. This couldn't be the Prince who could not get the pressing iron in his room changed. This couldn't be the Prince who didn't have any designer in his clothes or shoes and sneakers of any designers at all. Is it that he does not like buying things for himself or what? "Let's get something to eat." Prince Ire broke into her head, collecting the long hand made bag Ara was holding when he noticed Ara was starting to shift the bag from one hand to the other. "Sir..." was all Ara could say as she followed the same direction Prince Ire took. Suddenly, she realized she didn't know what was happening again. She wondered if someone else had collected her bag or the same Prince Ire? She wondered if there had been a changed or switching of Princes. She realized she wish she could really know Prince Ire. There was more to him than what people were saying about him. The senator's praises and all that she had witnessed was starting to change her doubts for Prince Ire. I guess he's not that bad. That's sweet actually. Ara smiled over her thoughts. "Hey! Watch your front before you buy what you can't pay for!" That mean voice brought Ara to suddenly look up at the rude, glowing dark girl who she almost collided with truly. "I'm sorry please." She apologized, getting a stare and "it's okay" from the lady who walked away from Ara immediately. Ara threw away her thoughts and concentrated on where she was heading. She realized was really really hungry too.
