Chapter Twenty Seven

Less than an hour, they were back to Lagos again. Ara wished she could still enjoy the luxury at Abuja, but then, it was good to be back to Lagos again.
"Oh my God, Ara! Look at you!" Grace laughed staring at Ara unbelievably at how suddenly Ara was glowing. She dragged Ara inside as she received her from the door immediately Prince Ire ran upstairs to his room. Grace played with Ara's cheeks that looked more chubby. "Ara has turned fat in how many days. Girl, where is the gist?"
Ara couldn't help the little laughter that left her mouth. She knew Grace was a gist addict, holding Ara really tight so as not to slip away from her at all. Though she was tired and wanted to embrace her bed, Ara knew she couldn't. It was obvious they were really happy to have her back and she wanted to spill the gist too. So badly. "Momma how far now?" Ara greeted Sewa who snatched her bag the moment she walked in, searching the bag and nodding her head to reply Ara. Sewa drew out the half bottle of fanta Ara left in her bag. She was actually thirsty and Instantly craved for it. She unscrewed the cover, raised the bottle to her mouth and emptied the orange liquid straight in her mouth.
Ara laughed. "Momma, that's your Prince fanta. Get ready to write a statement."
Grace unable to swallow her laughter, she hit Ara. "Ara just imagine him come down and saw Sewa with that drink?"
The two ladies burst out laughing, but suddenly, Grace mimicked Prince Ire's look, standing erect. "How do you explain that drink in your hand? With whose permission did you take that?"
Everyone burst out laughing watching  Grace suddenly turned to a comedian. Grace spoke up again. "Aunty Momma," she called and laughed. "Sewa you get mind o. You really finished it."
"He will soon call you now. Keep shouting." Sewa threw the empty bottle, aiming at Ara's buttocks. "Don't tell me half Fanta is what you brought for us?"
Ara laughed. "After the gist."
Facing Grace whose ears were popped open, Ara started, telling them in a rush but Grace was actually enjoying it just like that. "Your Prince was actually nice though." Ara blushed remembering the moments Prince Ire was really dear to her. "He even bought me one book like that." Ara laughed at the thought. "Was it the cow skin we ate together. If I tell you what happened that day self. . ."
"Oya, oya... Drop that gist too."
Ara laughed. But suddenly, she noticed Grace kept mute and started blinking her eyes at her. Ara thought that was another joke from Grace. She made fun of her instead. "This one you are now blinking your eyes, what happen to you?"
Grace realized Ara didn't get what she was trying to pass across to her. She immediately brought her hand to her neck scratching it, clearing her voice, hoping Ara would understand this time. "Hmm...hmm..." she squeezed her eyes one after the other.
Ara finally sensed something wasn't right, but it was too late.
"What do you expect?" The figure standing behind Ara spoke. "Poor bitch!"
Ara turned around immediately.
"Good evening Princess Adebisi." Sewa and Grace greeted. Ara moved back and instantly kept her mouth shut. Without anyone telling her, she knew that was one of the Princesses in the palace. Ara quickly greeted with a nod.
"Fool!" Princess Adebisi eyed her. She finally met the Ara whose name disgust her for days. Where's the beauty? She thought. Just a fast result from Caro white and cheap cheap creams they used around. Who cares anyways? If not because of her friend Derin, she wouldn't even imagine her and Prince Ire talking together. Princess Adebisi doesn't like the fact that Prince Ire was always confronting her Mom and she found it disrespectful. The best way to pay him back was to give him the same treatment he gave her mom multiple times. But still, she dare not go against him because he would always get back at her.
She warned Derin when she was doing lovey-dovey with Prince Ire. She predicted the stupid love wasn't going to last because Derin wasn't the kind of person who stick to one guy. She knew her friend for jumping around where she could grab, steal, and get enough money for herself. That was the life they both live. They get your man, you pay them to leave him. And they do that when they want to. When Derin was suddenly into Prince Ire, she warned her about her brother. Princess Adebisi knew her brother too well even though they weren't close. She knew he was the guy who stick to his babe, and Derin wasn't the one for him. She warned Derin severally to give up that life if she really hope to be with Prince Ire, but what happened? She followed the money again. That served him right though. She doesn't care a bit about that. But what surprised her was knowing Derin wanted to come back. That babe does not turn back to any man. They actually don't. She wondered what happened.
Princess Adebisi stared at Ara trying to weigh her before instructing Ara to look at her. "look here bitch, I'm sure you have a stable memory. I'm Adebisi. Don't nod your head at me. I'm not deaf!"
Ara couldn't believe why the sudden hate. She had met Princess Omotoke, and she wasn't a total razor like the one who stood before her. She couldn't imagine they were both given birth to by same mother. Ara stole few glances at her stature. Princess Adebisi was huge. She had just the same size of her hips, huge bust, which must be size E. Huge body, tall height and extremely fair just like her mother, the first Queen. Would she say she was beautiful? Totally not! But she had the damn body. Totally looking like she went under knife to look perfect. The only thing that gave her reason to live. They've never met before, yet Princess Adebisi stood before her like someone who came back to revenge an offence committed years ago. Ara rolled her eyes. Sister go take Panadol or get a life!
Ara suddenly realized Princess Adebisi really wanted to be greeted again by her name. She quickly gave up her thoughts. "Good evening Princess Adebisi." Ara gave her the respect she wanted, backing up with a short prayer for her to get out of her face.
Princess Adebisi rolled her eyes at Ara and hissed instead, flashing her long red nails as she combed her long black Peruvian human hair to the back. "You can't fool me babe. Just get the hell out of my way or you throw yourself inside a dungeon. " She hit Ara before she could finish her statement.
Who was she to raise her voice, Ara swallowed the pain and sank down in defeat. Of course she was angry, but did the only thing she knew how to do. Remained quiet and stayed humble.
"You can't just come in here and hit my worker." The voice said so calm, but in a hard, warning tone. Everyone looked up immediately. Prince Ire had gotten everyone's attention, staring down at Princess Adebisi. He had changed into his black joggers, wearing a slim fit, round neck, long sleeve army top on it. He climbed down the stairs. "Why are you here?"
"Dad wants to see you," Princess Adebisi said. She had deliberately told the worker her Dad sent to let her deliver the message knowing she couldn't just stroll into Prince Ire's building without been sent there. She knew as well to watch whatever she was going to say so as not to provoke him entirely. She just wanted to show face, meet the Ara she heard about and annoy Prince Ire a little bit.  "And when do you care about your workers?" Princess Adebisi walked behind him as Prince Ire handed the bottle of water he drank from to Ara before facing Princess Adebisi. "I should ask you when you care to know who and who I care about." He gave her a cold stare. "Don't make it look stupid B. You are done here."
Princess Adebisi rolled her eyes, angry, but managed to act fine. "That's the least I'm bothered about. And you are right, I'm done here."
Prince Ire didn't wait to hear her reply before leaving the sitting for her. Grace could see how Princess Adebisi felt pained and defeated that she almost brought trouble on herself by laughing. Grace instantly swallowed it, concealing it with a small smile that disappeared instantly. Immediately Princess Adebisi left, Ara was the first person to burst into laughter before realizing she had a pain at the side of her stomach to nurse.
"Please," Ara pleaded for their attention. "Is that really her or she has a thing for me?"
Grace turned to Sewa, realizing Sewa wasn't going to talk, she responded. "Little of her actually. She's just as mean as her mom. Wicked people on earth. But..." Grace hesitated before speaking up again. "I think you snatch her Lamborghini in her dream. Did you not?" Grace laughed realizing what she said doesn't make any sense.
Ara joined her, then stopped. "What if she comes here and listens to that."
Grace doubled her laughter. "You people will need to take my corpse from her before she throws me into the dungeon."
This time around her, both Ara and Sewa laughed. Sewa shook her head. "I will keep saying this again and again, your mouth will not throw you inside the dungeon."
Only Grace understood this. Dungeon was Princess Adebisi's favourite word. "Dungeon Dungeon..." Grace mimicked throwing Ara into complete confusion. "Her stupid plastic body will end up there and not mine. Ara sweetheart, give me that gist again."
"For where?" Ara thought of the dungeon suddenly showing up from nowhere to insult her again. "Grace, the gist is for another time. You will not die for another two hours." She pointed to the side of her stomach. "I need a good rest."
