SOMA: The transformation took place within a second. Too fast to even worry about. But within that short time frame, I felt the quick breaking down and repairing of my bones as Rainia took over my entire being, pushing me to the back seat. The first thing she does is howl, claiming her right as the only available wolf here. That is if Mark doesn’t come out of that building to do the same. Luis was not a given in this situation. What would be revealed to the others now is a creamy white wolf about to go on a riot on all fours. A wolf three to four times bigger than the size of a built man. And with this, I could get the needed advantage over a dangerously possessed Luis. The speed at which Rainia takes to get to Luis is twice faster than my regular speed. And through her eyes, I can see Luis getting ready for the attack, which proves her speed has not beaten his yet. With her heavy frame, I am expecting Luis to at least get down to the ground when she hits him with her paws. But the only reaction I get is just him flinching from it. A little flinch, and that is all. And it is not just me who is surprised, Rainia is too. But she does not allow that to stop her from giving out another hit from her paws. I think she’s aiming to claw at his face but he swipes her paws away from him and then moved to the side to suddenly kick her right to the head to send her to the ground. ‘This doesn’t look good,’ I tell her as she prepares to go at him once more. ‘Wasn’t expecting for it be,’ she responds and from there jumps in the air, landing directly in front of him. Claws upon claws from her are blocked by quick swipes from him. I don’t think we have an advantage here if this is how he gets into the fight because we are mostly on the attacking right now. Well, the whole game eventually changes when he suddenly pushes Rainia’s paws off him and then hit her right where I don’t think she would like to feel. The recovery was going to take a while and we fall to a great disadvantage when he takes over the situation. He starts to hit her so much that she cannot keep up with his attacks. The pace, everything, was totally unmatched at the moment. I thought this was going to make the fight easier for me but there is no change from how it has been. One last kick in the face and Rainia is sent flying away. And before she could crash to the ground, Luis is above her as he hits her right in the guts from midair. The eventual crashing is much worse than any of the ones I did. She crashed so hard that the ground gets leveled. I could feel how much pain came with it. Sharing the same spirit with her was enough to make me feel the connection of her pain. ‘Rainia,’ I call her, expecting a response instantly but she gives none yet. I am worried sick about her now because I cannot tell how much she is faring until she says something. I’m glad I can still feel the connection with her if not I would have feared that she had passed out from being brutalized that much. ‘Rainia, please say something,’ I try again to reach out to her and eventually I hear a whimper. ‘I’m fine,’ she says. ‘Just needed to adjust to the pains.’ “I told you there is no way around this but you still went for it. Do you really think you can defeat him?” the loud voice from the man on the roof catches our attention and Rainia opens her eyes for us to see what is going on up there. Our eyes first come in contact with Luis towering over us. His eyes ate dead while staring right into us and I am fearful for the worst. “Teach her a lesson!” the bastard on the roof instructs Luis and I can see he is about to adhere to his command. As Luis is about to hit Rainia, a thought comes to my head, and so I go for it. ‘Rainia, switch!’ was my instruction to her, and immediately the transformation to my human self takes place. As Rainia is bigger than I am, Luis was meant to go for her, but because the transformation takes place during the process, it makes him trip while hitting nothing but air. I make use of the momentum to kick him right in the face with both legs, swinging up in the air that way as I jump over him. With that, I roll over, a little far away from where he is standing, bearing his back against me. I’ve got no clothes on now. Let's put it that I am butt naked. Transforming with my clothes on wasn’t the best of ideas but I was desperate and didn’t think it through. Besides, I should not care about situations like this because I am not the first to find myself in this type of situation. ‘What do you want to do now?’ Rainia asks me but I have got nothing in mind now. I only told her to switch because I wanted to save her from getting hit so badly. ‘I don’t know,’ I admit to my cluelessness. I still have my eyes focused on Luis who is starting to walk over to me. My heart is beating so loud that I am sure he can hear the sound. I just wish there is a way for me to get access to his original self. I do not know what was used on him to turn him against me but I have to break it off soon. ‘You know what, Rainia? Take back control. I might have a perfect idea already,’ I tell her as I notice something starting to happen right behind Luis. However, it is not something that concerns him or I am sure he would have reacted to the sound. So what I do instead is to focus on what is right in front of me as Rainia takes over again. I think Luis already figured that she was going to come back because he starts to run over to where we are during the transformation. But Rainia is prepared for him as she lunges at him just as he does that too. They both land a hit on each other, with Rainia clawing right through his bare chest that heals almost instantly while she receives a hit in the face. That doesn’t stop as he is back quickly and then they both start to hit out at each other. That is when I see the event behind that caught my attention before. I had hope for a progress from that and I think it worked. Mark, who I thought had gone out of all of these, had climbed onto the roof to attack the masked man. When it had started, I had seen him kick the man in the face which was a surprise attack but after that, it became a game of one man because the masked man took over everything. That was until Mark made him trip from the roof. That little thing made me super excited but it did not stop Luis from continuing to attack. Immediately I get that the man has nothing to do with Luis. Luis may be under his control but it does not affect whatever he does right now. Well, I do not have to worry about what would happen in this bout for too long because Mark has come right to where I am fighting it out with Luis. From behind, he tries to attack but Luis moves out of the way, almost making Rainia claw into Mark. It was a close one. Then with both legs, he kicks at Mark and Rainia but only hits Mark because Rainia was out of the way before such could happen. She lunges at his back and midair, I take control of my body again. When I land on his back, I tighten my arms around his neck, gripping him so hard. He tries to get me off him but I am quick to hit him right on the head numerous times. Mark is back on his feet and wants to go in for an attack on Luis but is pushed back with Luis’ foot. Mark still comes back at him and this time dodges the leg and hits him in the guts. I would think what I am doing is futile until I feel Luis’ weight start to soften. I at first felt it was a fluke until he finally lands facedown to the ground with my weight still on him. At the same time, I stop hitting him on the head and then look up at Mark, a little too surprised about what has happened. “Did it work?” I ask him, my voice telling me that I cannot believe that he is right on the ground after so many efforts to put him down. “I think it did,” Mark says, looking all battered from having fought alongside. I feel a heavy burden come off my shoulders, so much that I want to collapse to the ground in glee. But then, my attention shifts to the side to see the masked man running off into the building. “I don’t think you need to go after him,” Mark says while I still focus on the man. “Of course I do. Something tells me he is the leader and I need to put him down once and for all,” And immediately I am up on my feet, running straight for the building that the masked man has gone into. It feels like a bad idea but my strong will was the winner here. And I have to go with it. When I finally enter the building, I am met with an empty room filled with darkness. Although I can through the darkness, it doesn’t help that I feel uneasy about it. Running footsteps make me look around and I am sure it is the coward. “Show yourself. If you're man enough, come out and fight!” I yell at apparently nothing as my voice echoes through the building. All of a sudden, the door that led me into the building closes. And before I can process it, my scent starts to make out the scent of something that I should not be perceiving — Bane! I make a run for the door immediately but the bane is getting stronger. It is filling up the whole room now and I am being affected. Getting to the door, I try to bust it open but my hands are now weary. I cannot use my body well anymore. With the little I have inhaled, I cannot feel myself doing anything that would work. Not even an attempt to transform into my wolf. I got myself in this mess.
