Casabella's POV He pulled over at the packing lounge and came down to open the door for me. "Thank you." "You're most welcome. If you don't mind, can I ask you for a favour?" "What's that?" I inquired and he locked his together with mine making it look like we're a couple. "I want us to walk this way to the party. It's going to look off to some people if I don't but it's alright if you feel uncomfortable with it." "It is not really a big deal so I don't mind and after all we're friends. It will be unfair not to help my friend who is in need." "Thank you. I thought you might feel offended." "Not at all and however I know you had the intention to ask since that's how parties can be very annoying without having a date." "You said it right, thank you." He admitted while I nodded my head and we headed towards the party with our hands locked together. I haven't attended a party with a guy before, which makes me feel nervous and sweaty. I hope I don't mess things up for him. "You don't have to feel nervous. I'm right here with you." "Alright thanks." "It's nothing, just don't feel nervous, okay." "Okay." I replied and we proceeded to enter the hall. The moment we walked in, we saw a lot of people, not just small groups of people but a large number who are high elites, billionaires and more. The party is really for wealthy people, and if Jace hadn't taken me along, I would probably not be here to witness something beautiful like this one. "Come, let go and have our seats at the round table." He gestured to me. "Okay." I answered, still admiring everything around. It's a high class party, with no sign of poor people or uninvited guests. I can't imagine how it's going to feel once I regain my possession from my uncle and start running my own companies and associating with the high class people. It is going to be a dream come true for me. He pulled a chair for me to sit and took his seat and wanted to ask me a question when a bodyguard showed up and whispered something to him and left. "Can you hold on for me here, I want to attend the business meeting upstairs." "Alright." "I will be back shortly, I promise and try to feel comfortable." "No problem." I accepted and let him off, looking around for anything that will be of interest to me. Madison's POV "This is really a perfect business party. Her husband is indeed stinky wealthy as well." Mary blurted, staring around. "Yes babe. Her husband owns one of the top ten companies here in New York." "I see, she's really a lucky woman." "Yeah, she is, I can't see her anywhere here." "Maybe she's attending to other guests. I'm sure she's going to notice our presence." "Alright." "Maddy, I want to use the restroom. I will be back soon." "No problem babe. I hope you know your way there?" "I will ask for directions. I can't hold up any longer." "Sure. Take your time." I giggled as she left. "Ma'am, do you mind." A bartender uttered to me with a glass of wine on a tray. "I guess I need this after all, Mary and I are here to have fun." I conceited and picked two glasses. I took a sip of the wine and felt refreshed and was about to take another sip when my eyes landed on a lady sitting all alone. It wasn't because she's alone that caught my eyes, it was her beauty. She was looking so dashing and beautiful in her red lace dress with her packed ponytail. I haven't seen a lady looking so beautiful as she is. She looks exactly like an angel. I'm really marvelled at her beauty, even though I am pretty and good looking but she's undefined. Is she really human or an angel? "Maddy! What are you lost staring at?" Mary asked, jolting me back from my short spacing. "Oh... Sorry babe, I just saw a beautiful lady seated there." I pointed out to where the lady was seated but she was nowhere to be found. "Who did you see? I can't see anyone there." "But she was seated there just now, she was putting on a red long lace dress with her hair packed in a ponytail. Didn't you see her meet her on your way?" "Of course I didn't. I think you have had a lot of drinks. Let's get you somewhere to throw up. We're not leaving this party without seeing Alexa." She urged me, holding on to my hand. "I'm not drunk, babe. I think she is an Angel to have vanished just like that." I protested but she pulled me to a passage that leads to the restroom. Casabella's POV I got tired and bored of waiting for Jace, that's why I decided to take a walk outside. I don't know where I was heading but all I felt at the moment was getting away from any form of disturbance. I kept walking, going through a series of ways until I came across a pool and moved further but met a lady seated on a bench close to the pool, lost staring at the water. I hope I didn't get myself into trouble. I need to turn back to the party I was about to turn back to leave when I heard the lady called out to me. "Don't go. I'm sure you left the party because it was boring, wasn't it?" "Well, yes but I'll head back now." "Please, don't leave, come join me. I was hoping to see someone to associate with." She urged me and I joined her. She was wearing a light blue ball dress and has curly black hair with almond eyes and a pretty face but she kind of looks like someone I have encountered somewhere. Who could it be? Yeah, I remember, she looks like that proud man who almost knocked me down with his car or perhaps I might be thinking otherwise. "Hi, I'm Rosy. What's yours?" She introduced and hit me lightly on the shoulder with a smile. "I'm Casabella." "You've got a lovely name just as you look, you're indeed beautiful." "Thanks. You got a pretty name too." "Yes, I know. My dad always tells me that when he was still alive." "I'm sorry." "You don't have to be. I'm alright, I just miss him and wish he was here with me. But nevertheless, I have an older brother who looks for me." "That's nice. I wish I had someone to look up to me." "Don't you have a family." "I don't. No, I mean I have. My parents are late so I've got my uncle and his family but I'm never happy." "I'm sorry about that but why aren't you happy living with your uncle." "I wish I can tell you but I don't know who to trust at all, also we just meet now so it might sound crazy to just spill out my life history." "It's alright but we can get to be friends. I don't have any friends except my brother and his best friend, who is my boyfriend. Should I tell you something just to let you know I won't spill out your Secret to anyone?" "You're really lucky." "I wish. When I was eighteen, my father was murdered in my presence and I was raped by countless men." She revealed. "Oh my God! I'm so sorry. I know it isn't easy to remove that experience from your head and heart." "I still can't get it out of my head. I hate myself so much for experiencing it." "You don't have to hate yourself. You never planned any of it, it was meant to happen and those monsters will pay one day." "I hope so. We never saw them again to sue them in court." "I'm sorry to hear that but I believe they will be found soon and punished for their evil deeds." "So tell me, what's your secret?" I thought I'll find it hard to open up to a stranger like her but having heard her worst side of experience I felt the courage to open up to her as well. "Mine can't be compared with yours. You've really gone through a lot. I'm so sorry." "It's okay, so tell me about yours?" "After I lost my parents, my uncle took away my properties and refused me of my rights and ever since I've been passing through hell." "That's so sad. It must have been really tough for you going through all that by yourself. How could your own uncle be inhuman to you?" "It really has and sometimes I wish I had just followed my parents." "Don't say that. I believe you will regain your possession back and be the person you want to be. You just have to keep believing." "Thanks" "No problem. I have to go now before the bodyguards my brother assigned to watch over me begin to search for me." "So soon? I wish to know you more and hope to see you again." "Same here but here is my card. You can give me a call so we can meet up." "Sure. Thank you." I gracefully took the card from her. "Alright. Bye, Casabella. It was nice meeting you." "Me too." We hugged passionately before pulling away. I can't believe I met someone who went through a lot compared to my situation. I hope she gets her justice from those inhuman men.
