The news of a building explosion spread like wildfire as everyone panicked for their loved ones who were affected. Brian sat in the waiting room patiently, wanting to hear what the doctor has to say about Julie's health condition. At last, the doctor came out and broke the sad news to him. He paced towards the ward in which she was kept. The poor child was struggling between life and death as her breathing rate was poor. He glanced at the heart rate machine which beamed slowly and then at Julie who was fixed on oxygen. “You're a fighter…thank you for surviving” he cried, kissing her palm. If she ever wakes up, he was going to take her away from the claws of miss Lucy, who was going to serve the due punishment for her crimes. However, he was feeling pains in his chest whenever he thought of miss Lucy…was he too cruel on her? He was so uncomfortable that he wished to see her badly. He had been around, unknown to her, even before she arrived home. When she was staring at her reflection, he was the shadow that walked away because if he met her in the room, Brian might change his mind because his heart races at the sight of her. He felt like shedding tears at the way she begged for help from him, but he turned a deaf ear to her. Miss Lucy sat mute, staring at the blank wall as an investigation was carried out on her. She didn't give a reply to any of the questions being posed to her as all that she was bothered about was Julie if she was still alive. Her silence made everything complicated, she carried back to the prison until the court hearings calls. She sat mute, regretting her decisions forever coming back. Someone's bang on the door caught her attention, it was Alexandra who was in tears and at the same time happy to see miss Lucy. “I heard about what happened to Julie…how could they do this to you?” Alexandra wailed, causing miss Lucy to shed tears. “I'm sorry” she muttered crying loud. “Shush… it's okay” Alexandra encouraged but miss Lucy saying the word because inspite of everything, Alexandra still came back for her. The ones she loved and helped were just nothing but ingrates. “Please…find out about Julie for me… I can't rest until I know her state of health” miss Lucy requested and Alexandra nodded, wiping her tears. “She's a strong girl and would survive because of you” she consoled and miss Lucy gave a wry smile. It was painful for the memories of last night reoccurring and causing Chaos in her head. If only she could reverse the time. After a little time spent here, Alexandra walked away, heading for the hospital to bring back information for miss Lucy. *** Oliver's hands shook at the sight of Brian, he had tampered with the true evidence including the one Alisha had once sent to him to appear real that miss Lucy was at fault. Yet, he was still scared of him. He realized the sad look Brian bore ever since he said he was returning to bring miss Lucy back to jail. “Finally, we got what we needed” Oliver began, attempting to hide his nervousness. Brian didn't respond, as he looked sick like though he was going to pass out any moment from now. He brought his inhaler and stared at it, it reminded him of several times miss Lucy got worried over him and made it a habit for him to carry an inhaler all around just to be cautious. While they lived together, she risked it all to help promote his company and so exposing mafias engaged in hard drugs and human trafficking too, even though she must have truly loved him. Haven observed her character, he realized that the real she was quite different from what people said about her because she was more like an angel. Why she was cruel was because she always had the feeling that everyone was pretending to like her and would someday leave her. However, she sometimes had pride, which she learned to curb. “Brian?” Oliver called in between his teeth. His voice disrupted Brian's, though. Brian turned his gaze at him and beckoned on him to speak. “I was just saying…now that she got arrested, are going back to Mexico? Besides, the don max had claimed you closed his case”. Brian glanced at him, he never closes his case, he just needed help to get back to Mexico, get back his company and arrest miss Lucy. The don he had met earlier before departing for Mexico had a case with him because he was charged with shipping of hard drugs by Brian and to avert Brian's attention, a little bribery could do. Oliver didn't like the silence Brian kept since he got back. Perhaps have he fallen for miss Lucy because when Oliver had called some months back, Brian claims miss Lucy was staying with him. “I think you need to calm down…” “Oliver, where did you get your evidence from?” Brian suddenly asked, as though an idea strucked him. “Excuse me…well… research okay” he defends as invisible sweat began to appear on his face. “The scene of miss Lucy and Clara…only showed her coming out of the room… but from the looks of it…” “Are you doubting me?” Oliver chipped in, annoyed by Brian assumptions. “No…” He mused and paced out quickly. “Shit! He has his doubt now, what do I do?" He panicked and placed a call. Brian rushed towards his car when his eyes met the mayor who was standing opposite him and staring. He studied the major and then smirked at him because of the way he eyes rolled gently to and fro. Brian still got his eyes on him too because he certainly knew that when it comes to illegal actions, only miss Lucy couldn't just be placed with all the blame. He preferred not to meet the mayor now because he got something to figure out, and so dashed into his car. As he was about to drive off, from his tint screen, he could see Oliver running towards the mayor.
