Chapter 34 ~ XXXIII ~
SELENE
Drystan and I walked into the house with smiles on our faces, "I had such a really good time" I said when we both got to the door of my room, and he grinned.
"Me too" he replied and we both fell into a comfortable silence after that, and just stared at each other, "you should go inside now, it's late" he whispered after a while of doing nothing but stare at each other, I nodded but made no effort to move.
"Why don't you go inside first?" I suggested and he turned to his door, then back at me, and shook his head, "why?" I whispered and he took a few steps closer to me and I took a few steps back till I was pressed against the door.
"Maybe I want to be invited in" he whispered into my ear and I subconsciously pushed my upper body to him.
"But..." I gulped and cleared my throat, "we aren't supposed to..."
He cut me off by placing his fingers on my lips, "No one said we were going to be doing anything that we aren't allowed to" he placed a kiss on my neck as he whispered that and I felt tingles all over my body, "so what do you say now? Would you let me in?" He asked.
I gazed into his eyes and softly bit my lips, which rippled a growl out of him and I immediately clenched my thighs at the excitement I felt from it, "please come in" I rasped out and he immediately placed his lips on mine. He slowly unlocked the door and without breaking away from each other, we slowly walked into the room and closed the door behind us.

"Good morning" Drystan whispered into my ears and I instantly snapped out of my thoughts, "Didn't take you as the type to wake up early enough to make breakfast," he said after he placed a kiss on my neck.
I dropped the plates I was holding and cleared my throat, before I stiffly turned my head to face him, "well.." I started and rubbed my arms with a small smile on my face, "well I just wanted to do something nice for you" I said and he raised an eyebrow at me.
"That's so nice, thank you! But why are you sweating and looking all flushed" he asked and my hand instantly went to my forehead and flicked away the sweat lingering there.
"Sweating?" I asked and chuckled, "I'm not sweating nor flushed" I blurted out and immediately turned to the cooker.
"Are you sure?" He asked as he wrapped his hand around my waist and pulled me in, my breath quickened and became uneven at the contact, and I struggled to find the right words to answer him but nothing came out, "are you thinking about last night?" He whispered and I gasped audibly.
I immediately shook my head and twisted around so I could face him, "I'm not... I'm not thinking about last night" I stuttered and gulped nervously.
"Are you sure?" He repeated and I peered at him through my lashes as I shook my head, "you're so cute! I can't believe that has you all nervous and embarrassed." He teased with a small smile on his face and I hit him on the shoulder.
"Shut up! What do you know?" I mumbled and pushed him away from me, "that was the first time I had gotten so close to someone in that way before, we might not have had sex but still! You might have done that a thousand and one times but I haven't, so stop teasing me!" I rambled and slammed my hand on the kitchen counter when I was done.
"Wait!" I exclaimed and took a few steps close to him "have you done this a lot with girls? Was last night nothing special to you?" I asked and he pulled me closer to himself and wrapped his hands around my waist.
"I've never done that with any other girl before, don't get jealous" he whispered into my ear and I huffed, "everything we did last night was special to me, okay?" He whispered and this time he bit my earlobe softly when he was done speaking.
A smile tugged on my lips at his words and I also wrapped my arms around him, "then why weren't you all embarrassed?" I whined and he burst into laughter.
"I was, but then I saw you looking way more embarrassed than I was and it made me feel better" he confessed and we both burst into laughter, "it feels nice to have you in my arms," he said and I nodded my head, "but I think the food is burning".
My eyes widened when he said that "Oh my God!" I exclaimed and immediately pulled away from him and ran to the stove and turned it off. "I think the food is all burnt" I mumbled as I removed the pot lid, and true to my suspicion, what was meant to be a pot of pasta was now completely burnt.
"Well, it doesn't look that bad?" Drystan said when he looked into the pot and I glared at him, "okay, it looks very bad!" He admitted and I sighed dejectedly and banged the lid on the pot, "But don't worry, I'll fix something up for us, okay?"
I puffed out a breath and shook my head, "you don't have to worry about me, I can't stay any longer" I said and wrapped my hand around his neck, "I have to go to the library today, and Clarissa offered to drive me since she's heading there too" I clarified and he frowned.
"Why are you going to the library? Which library? What about training?" He asked and I pouted.
"I was hoping you'd cover for me at training! I swear I'd be back on track soon, and I'm going to the library to read up on the birthmark and why it disappeared and I'm sure one of the libraries will have the book"
His mouth made an O shape when I said that and he sighed, "you could have told me and I would have driven you there myself" he said and I immediately shook my head.
"No, I didn't want to disturb you plus, we have training today so..." I said, and just when he was about to reply, I heard the honking of Clarissa's outside and a smile graced my face, "alright baby! I'll see you later, okay?" I whispered and placed a kiss on his cheek.
"See you later! And the book is most likely to be in the historical fiction side" he yelled as I stepped out of the house and I nodded my head.
I rushed into the car and, Clarissa and I exchanged pleasantries before she zoomed off. Our ride to the library was comfortable and quiet, we both had nothing to say to each other since we spent our time talking early in the morning, the only sound in the car was coming from the radio that played throughout the ride.
"We are here!" She announced as soon as she packed the car, and we both alighted from the car, "I can't remember the last time I came here, most of us don't come here and looking at it now, I think it's pretty obvious why" she stated as we both stared at the building before us.
The building was a small-sized old bungalow, it had vines growing on its side and there were lots of noticeable cracks on the wall. It was completely abandoned and looked like it would collapse anytime soon, it kind of gave me the creeps.
"Doesn't get much care, does it?" I asked after a while and Clarissa nodded.
"It's a very old library and lives in the mind of few people, and that reminds me!" She exclaimed and I turned towards her, "why did you want to visit the oldest library we have?" She asked.
I shifted my weight from one leg to the other as I rummaged my mind for the answer to give her, I didn't want to lie to her but at the same time I didn't want to tell her the truth, "well, I just wanted to, plus I needed to check out a few books that the other libraries might not have" I blurted out and she stuck out her lower lip and nodded
"Makes sense. Well, I want to make a detailed report on the library's state and ways we can get it back to shape, so let's go in?" I looked at the building then back at her and nodded
We took steady and shaky steps to the door, and with great carefulness, we pushed the door open softly and walked in. The library was in disarray when we walked in, piles of books were carelessly dropped on the floor, everywhere was a little dusty and there were cobwebs in every corner of the room, the floor would creak with every step we take and I felt like it would break anytime soon.
But by the time we were in the middle of the library and none of the floors have cracked open, I felt a bit more confident to walk around, "so... I guess I'm just going to wander around till I find the book I want?" I suggested and Clarissa nodded.
"Yeah, I'll go and check around, scream if anything happens," she said and walked away.
I puffed out a breath when she walked away and stared at the pile of books that were on the floor, then slowly looked up to those on the shelves and rubbed my face with my hands, "this is going to be harder than I thought!" I mumbled and walked over to the books and began flipping through them carefully.
30 minutes in and I was already bored and very close to giving up, I had gone through over 20 books in the past minutes and there was still no sign of the book I wanted, nor a sign of Clarissa. I picked up a random book and stood up from the floor, "are you okay, Clarissa?" I yelled as I flipped through the book.
"Yeah, I am!" She replied instantly and I nodded and kept flipping through the book till I came across a particular drawing and I halted, it was a picture of a boy with five wolves right behind him, and that instantly reminded me of the wolf-boy that Drystan talked about.
"Clarissa, what do you know about the 5 wolfed-boy?" I asked and in a second she was standing right before me with her eyes wide open.
"Why are you asking? Did Drystan tell you about it?" She gushed out and I stared at her incredulously and shook my head.
"He only mentioned but didn't tell me the story, he said it was a story only those in Mooncrest know about.. so I was wondering if you would tell me about it?" I asked and she immediately took a few steps back.
