Chapter 58 Everything

*Vienna's P.O.V.*
"I wasn't kidding when I said the intensity of my love would wake you up babe." Gibson chuckled as the both of us got dressed. His phone says it's 9 in the late evening, I guess we skipped dinner cause we had other things at hand.
"And what? This is fairy tale?" I played along feeling energized by the new connection between the both of us as well as the knowledge that I am back in my body.
"Sleeping beauty plus mature scene." I whacked his head when he said that, pleased that I am able to do it now. "Shall we grab something to eat?"
"Can you get some for me? I feel kind of weak." I pleaded, damn I can barely stand! The idiot smirked at that and I threw a pillow his way, which he easily caught.
"Okay, okay." kissing my forehead, he made his way out of the room. I stretched my legs out in front of me and closed my eyes for a bit.
It's not only that sexual activity that made me weak, surely, the fact that I was out for some days without food and water contributed to this predicament. That bastard just thought it would blow air on his big head.
Speaking of, Gibson came back a few minutes later with some toast and steak, always been my favorite. He placed the one tray on my lap and placed the, I guess that was tea and water on a side table before positioning himself beside me and putting his own tray on his lap. I took a sip of the refreshing water before I started digging in.
"Didn't the others ask you about me?" I inquired when we're halfway through our meal.
"They're asleep I guess. It would really be interesting to tell them about how you woke up." he teasingly said and I just glared at him.
"Oh really? Would you really be glad to share that to them? Including Devon-" he released a low growl even before I finished my statement and now it's my turn to smirk. I know how to play his game. "By the way, where are they? Devon, Dark, Diana and the others?"
"In Donegal. You see, Marcos divided us into factions as a strategy for the battle. Only a few of us stayed at Noah's place while the others attacked on the castle." Gibson provided. Now it finally made sense to me.
"Marcos may be there already,I hope they all are doing good." I said. But I do realize now that war could always cause more bad than good. Hence, I always wonder why creatures, clans and kinds would opt to resolve feuds in a brutal way. However, as much as I hate death, injustice and vengeance boils my blood too, so it's a tough underlying for me.
"Penny for your thoughts?" I snapped out of my mental debate when his baritone rang in my ears.
"I was just thinking what would become of us now. After everything that happened." I answered.
"Oh, I guess you have to take your place there in Donegal and I- I don't know." he said.
I looked at him and placed my dishes on the side table along with his. "Are you not gonna stay?" I mean, would he really want to leave?
He locked his eyes with mine. "I guess we belong to different worlds now, you're a royal and I'm-" I cut off his nonesense reasoning.
"A son of a general. Of course I remembered what you are. And I would've been dead if it wasn't for you and your fairy tale. Nonetheless, we are of the same blood, in fact we're blood bounded." I finished for him.
"You would've been a lot more free to do your responsibilities and all if it wasn't for me." he said. He must be referring to Dark and making him human again, or whatnot. Is he seriously saying this now that, now that our bond has been completed! Oh my gosh! It just dawned on me how we're fully mated now.
"And I would've been just like any other first born witch princess. Which I clearly don't want to become. A little difference wouldn't hurt the history books. By the way, can we stop wondering about what could've been? I'm sure, what we have now is a blessing " I stated.
I felt him envelope my small hand with his bigger ones and I basked myself with its warmth. "I'm sorry baby, I'm sorry I was selfish. I reckon, choosing to be with you would be better than wondering if you'd choose to be with me."
"I already made my choice didn't I?" I said and pecked him on the lips.
"You always say that, but then when you're in the heat of the moment, you seem to second guess your decisions." he pointed out.
I sighed. "You discourage me all the time." I pouted.
"I was just saying."
"Yeah you were saying, like that would be helpful."
"I just don't want you to change your mind."
"Did I ever change my mind?"
He was going to respond when there was a knock on the door. "I'll get it." he said instead and opened it. In came Aurora and my mom.
"Vienna!" mom exclaimed as she ran to bask me in the warmth of her embrace.
"Mom..." I said, happy to finally hold her.
"Oh dear, I'm so happy to see you. Awake." she said. Gibson and I shared a quick look and just smiled.
"You too mom." I said.
"I had a vision that you will be up now, but I never knew how." Aurora said as she sat on the edge of the bed.
"It's the mate bond." I provided, and that's all that they have to know.
"Oh thank goodness! The others are upstairs resting, they'd be very happy to see you." mom said with a constant smile.
"I'll see them in the morning, you guys should rest too." I said.
"Oh I just really want to see you my dear."
"I'm fine mom. You need a rest."
"Oh Vienna, I must tell Marcos about this." Aurora said cheerfully.
"Yes, yes. But let's talk to each other in the morning, it's quite late." Gibson suggested and they all agreed, leaving the both of them again.
"So, what now?"
"What now, like what you said, we need a rest."
He climbed to bed next to me and wrapped his arms around my waist, spooning me. I feel really relaxed in his embrace, it was like the relaxation I felt when I was imprisoned in that nothingness but this time, it wasn't the absence of everything that calmed me down, instead it's the presence of everything, everything I could ever need. And with that thought, I fell asleep.
I didn't worry about not being able to wake up this time as I woke up bright and early, despite not knowing what time it is since we're technically underground and sunlight can't come through, ai know it's still early cause Gibson's still asleep. I carefully untangled our limbs and prepared for the day.
Dressed in black jeans and a white shirt, I headed upstairs.
"... and everything just happened so fast, it was like watching a movie." I heard Divine say as Diana and her brother Devon listened.
"Yeah, and here I thought our acts were badass before but being able to participate in this battle is just something!" Diana seconded.
"Yeah, we're not going back to our crime acts are we?" Divine said. And I chuckled. Devon's eyes met with mine as he looked up from his cup of coffee and a smile stretched out on his lips.
"Vienna!" I felt myself being squished by two of my fighter witch friends.
"Happy to see you back." Devon said when his mates finally released me.
"Yeah! Too bad I didn't see your moves on that war! You, would've been slick!" Divine said.
"Oh, I was there, I saw you, you just didn't see me and I participated alright." I countered as a matter of fact.
"Cool!"
"Vienna!"
I turned and again, I was squished in a tight embrace, this time, by Cassy. "It's been so long~"
"Yes Cassy, I miss you too," I said as I returned her embrace.
"Miss you three?" I smiled as I heard Casper's velvety voice.
"Casper!" I said as he ruffled my hair.
"I knew you'd be happy to see your ex." Dark chuckled and I threw a vase his way with the use of my power as he appeared under one of the lovely arches, which he swiftly caught.
"He's not my ex." I said. Hello! We were never in a relationship. Ummm, he did ask me to be his girlfriend and I thought I would've said yes but I didn't. That's about it!
"But you had something?" Diana asked teasingly.
"He is kind of handsome." now Divine's talking.
"OMG! I never knew my brother was your ex!" now Cassy looked at me with that look.
"Whose ex?" I quickly turned to Gibson when I heard his baritone approach us.
"No one." Devon said. It's a good thing his tone is very believable.
"Anyways, I'm so happy to see all of you. And thank you so much for everything you've done for me. For all of us." I said heartily. I truly am heart warmed to have all my friends with me in one place.
"Awee, no biggie, now who wants breakfast?" Divine asked.
"We do!" we cheered and laughed together.
"Now, why is my house so noisy?" we all looked at Aurora as she entered the kitchen and instantly a smile lit up her face when she saw all of us in the room.
We smiled at her too. She, mom, and Cathy joined us and we exchanged conversations here and there. Everyone just really happy.
"And Vienna, Marcos would really want to see you there in Donegal."
"I would love to go."
